I used to do some work here frequently when I was in Houston. Not so much of a study space, but private enough to bring a laptop and work in one of the booths. I loved how the hours were after midnight. And the chicken vermicelli bowls and spring rolls are SOOO good. I couldn't bring myself to try anything new, haha. It just took my stress away, especially in my alone time. It was comparable to eating dark chocolate! I showed this place to three of my friends, and they loved it as well. The service is great, and the workers are respectful and professional. They honestly brought an upscale kind of vibe to the atmosphere. At my time there, I could tell the owner had a strong relationship with them, and I noticed he was on standby a lot to make sure things were organized. I came here with some friends and they will for sure see more of me. It's a smaller shop with greet seating so it'd be great for takeout or dine in! The server there that night was so cool and super helpful with ordering. The food took about 15-20 minutes to come out and it was soo worth it! I ordered a side of fried rice, beef potstickers (pan fried) and the salt and pepper wings and they were all so good. My friends ordered the Chinese spring rolls and the thai chili wings and they were so good too. The fried rice was perfect with some soy sauce and the wings were CRISPY. I love this place! The Salt and Pepper flavor on any menu item is my absolute favorite. Especially the soft shell crab if it's in season.

I came across this place one late night while I was craving pho. I'm so happy I did cause this place is delicious. Our sever was sweet and told us we could sit wherever we'd like. Then he brought us bottled water which was nice. We had chicken pho which was cooked to perfection. The broth is so flavorful and the noodles are soft and not overcooked. I've came to this place many times and each time the food is great. It is on the pricier side of what I'm used to paying for pho ($15.99) but I do think it's worth the price because this is easily on my top 3 pho spots. Me'Lange seems to keep its place clean and tidy, I've never walked in to it being messy. Their decor is very nice and the parking is rather easy but there is a club next door and people seem to pay to be able to use their parking lot so sometimes it's full. This is 5 stars in my book especially because of how late they are open! I don't know of many pho restaurants open til 1 am, so this one's gonna do it for me every time! read more

Good spot for late night food when options are limited! They have a variety of Asian fusion dishes. They have plenty of parking available as well. I recommend trying the Crispy Egg Noodles with the house combination. The noodles are very crispy and topped with a variety of different meats and vegetables. I don't write reviews, but I had to for Me'lange. I was going to Shokku last night but it ended up being too packed for me. So, I ended up calling to see when they would last seat people and so I ended up going there. When you walk in you're greeted with a smile! The range of items on their menu was actually nice but I'm very indecisive so it was hard to order a little bit. But I ended up going with the brisket phó & Chinese egg rolls. The egg rolls are perfect, they come out super hot! Now the phó, has a great flavor to where I didn't need any sriracha. It was so full of flavor and hot! The food was really great I ended up getting some wings and pad thai to go. The sweet chilli wings, were soooo good & so was the pad thai. The food was pretty good. I had the beef broth pho with eye round steak and tofu. It was really good. My fiance had the orange chicken, it was really good but it was a bit more crunchy then he's used too. We found the restaurant on Google. DONT TRUST THE HOURS LISTED ON GOOGLE. Service was amazing even though we arrived like 30 minutes before closing. The place feels like an upscale or modern take on viet or other Asian dishes. A small restaurant with a really nicely designed sign on the exterior, Melange serves up Americanized Vietnamese food up into the wee hours of the night. The food is tasty and the service was really friendly, but it's not worth the price tag in my opinion. With the crab fried rice priced at $20, I was hoping it looked like something in the previous Yelp photos topped with lots of crab claws. The fried rice was a standard fried rice you find at other Americanized Chinese food shops that could go for $5 (still yummy), and the crab was scant and cold as well. Can't say no to carbs though! The shaking beef (also $20) was really flavorful and marinated with sauce. Usually the beef is just cooked with some salt and pepper and there's fresh lime juice you dip it in; the version here didn't need dipping, as it was so flavorful (but in a way that didn't let the meat shine through), and the lime juice was clearly from a bottle. It came with a fried egg, fried rice (which tasted pretty similar to the crab fried rice), and some marinated carrots and cucumbers. I picked the medium rare steak pho ($10) -- broth was clean, not super oily, and hit the spot, but dang, the meat was like really tough steak or stew meat without a hint of pink or tenderness anywhere. You don't get your usual array of meatballs, tendon, tripe, different types of flank steak, etc. to choose from here. The retro dance music also was a turnoff, haha~ but there's a parking lot in the back-- hooray! The food was tasty, but I would only come back if it was late and everything else was closed. read more

I was really looking forward to the spring rolls and they were mediocre. Just rice paper, lettuce, rice noodles, and shrimp. I was expecting more veggies that just lettuce. Maybe some carrots?? We ordered Uber Eats from Me'lange over the weekend because it was near freezing temperatures in Houston and some of us were craving a warm bowl of soup. Based on their menu and website, they are ostensibly a Vietnamese restaurant that also dabbles in pan-Asian cuisine, with Thai, Chinese, and Japanese options as well. With my order of Japanese Udon Soup, I did in fact receive a warm bowl of soup like I wanted. It just wasn't very flavorful or exciting. The noodles were bland, the sliced chicken was virtually unseasoned and overcooked to the point of chewiness, the three shrimp were large but rubbery, and there was no egg at all despite the item description. The one part I really enjoyed was the broth, which was really garlicky with a subtle sweet-savory finish when sipped separately. But when added to the rest of the ingredients, the whole thing became a muted hodge podge that necessitated heavy doses of sriracha. My guests also did not find their Tofu Singapore Noodles to be especially strong in the flavor department. The portion sizes are reasonable. Maybe Me'lange has better options on their menu that are worth trying, but this wasn't a memorable first experience. For nearly half the $13 I paid for the Udon, you can get a much better bowl of noodles in Houston in my opinion. read more

I give the two thumbs up for not forgetting the cutlery and condiments but two thumbs down for flavor. Rating this place base on it was open super late. After we left the Toyota Center concert. There weren't much restaurant available. Okay food, great service. Been here a handful of times since the soft opening. The food here is okay, nothing to brag about really. Clay Pot: 2/5 I ordered the clay pot with fish and it's not like your typical clay pot. Personally, I feel like the clay pot here lacks flavor and could use some improvement. The soup base was way too watery (usually it's thicker) for my liking and the fish they use wasn't that good to me. Boneless fish was good so I didn't have to worry about bones, but it'd probably taste better if they use Catfish or something like other places. Smell was a little fishier than usual too. Tao Ngo has really good claypot but it's so far, so if you're in the area, Kim Son is a better choice if you're looking for this dish. Calamari: 3/5 4 stars for service, 3 stars for food. read more

My new favorite spot! After an Astros game my friend and I were looking for a good place to have some Pho other than the nearby well known competitor in the area that is also open late. Initially it looked like a fancy restaurant, my friend was a bit intimidated by the nice table cloths, the dimmed lighting and bistro looking set up to only find out that their pho is very reasonably priced. The staff was great, they made us feel so welcomed and even for my picky friend that embarrasses me, they made it seem like they were completely OK with her ridiculous requests. She and I went with their beef Pho and I have to say that they did not disappoint. We ate till the last drop! For dessert... The their fried banana roll definitely hit the spot! Walked in and there was nobody at the front to greet - I stood there observing for a while- there was only two tables during dinnertime and two women in the kitchen trying to make my order. Decided on the bun rieu noodle soup and it was bad and pricy - it just had TONS of tofu (it had so much i didn't even want to eat tofu anymore) and the meatballs were SOOOO SALTY where I couldn't even eat them.
