Being so good, I could not resist going into the kitchen and was introduced to Chef Caleb, who cooked our fish to perfection. We were just passing through Melbourne, and did a restaurant search online looking for restaurants with good ratings. And we were looking for fried seafood. We stumbled on this little spot which doesn't present all that well from the road. However, our experience once we were in the door was excellent from start to end. Our waitress - Alyssa - was great!: attentive and informative, and on her recommendations we ordered the shrimp cocktail to start, and a number of the fried seafood options, including fish, shrimp, oysters, and scallops. Served with excellent french fries, hush puppies, and homemade coleslaw, along with a round of $4 Yuengling beers. The food was all excellent, and cooked perfectly. The exterior of the building kind of worried us but we were hungry so we went in anyways. Inside appearance almost matched the vibe of the outside. We ordered an appetizer that took awhile to get to us but it was good. Our order came out awhile later and I have to admit that the food was really, really good. We had one of their family boils for two and the kids had the shrimp & grits. The family boil was more food than the wife and I could handle. It was excellent. And I go to restaurants for the food, not the ambience so this is my kind of place. So my brother and I each ordered an entree and then split it. I ordered the boil with shrimp and scallops. Man it was good- shrimp, and scallops with some spice boiled then served in a pan with a garlic butter sauce alongside some potatoes and corn. Cooked perfectly with fresh seafood, it was knock your socks off. My brother ordered the fried sampler basket. It also did not disappoint. Fried shrimp, fish, scallops and oysters with French fries, hush puppies and Cole slaw. The batter was very tasty and was just right, not too thick. Again, fresh tasting seafood fried perfectly- what's not to like about that. I washed it down with a Kona long board. This spot absolutely delivers on fresh seafood. We started with a dozen raw oysters -- cleanly shucked, bright, briny, and beautifully fresh. Exactly what you want when ordering them on the half shell. Then we did what any responsible seafood lovers would do... we ordered both styles of lobster roll. Two Connecticut-style (warm, buttered) and one classic mayo-based. The Connecticut rolls were rich, buttery, and indulgent without being greasy. Big, tender chunks of lobster nestled in a perfectly toasted split-top bun. The warm butter just coated the meat instead of drowning it, which let the natural sweetness shine. The classic mayo-based roll was lighter and more traditional -- chilled lobster with just enough dressing to bind it, not overwhelm it. Clean, fresh, and balanced. Both were served with crispy thick-cut fries. We also had the lobster bisque, which was creamy, deeply flavored, and clearly made with real shell stock -- not thin or overly salty. I crave this soup daily! The only reason this isn't a full five stars is because our order came out wrong initially. However, they corrected it quickly and the second round was spot-on. The servers were quick, polite, efficient, and answered all of our questions. We got the rock shrimp appetizer and it rocked! I ordered the sheepshead local catch fried with coleslaw and fries. The staff was incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in, and figured out seating for us quickly considering my son, that alone set the tone for a great meal. We ordered a seafood boil with extra garlic and they did not hold back in the BEST way possible. You cant beat shellfish thats super fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The lobster bisque was so spot on creamy and rich, easily one of the best I've had. The garlic bread it came with takes it another step higher. We also tried the fish dip, and my wife was genuinely impressed. This is rare nowadays compared to many of the fish camps we've tried. This place actually delivered. Actually 4.5 stars, but not an option and I'm not going to 4 them. I'll explain. When we walked in we were a little concerned, it's a really simple restaurant but serves seafood. The service was good, one waitress was excellent. I'll say we did come in at the busiest time of night on a Saturday. Ordered an appetizer, it took 45 minutes, I forgot we even ordered one, the wings were fine, wings. My daughter ordered a crab sandwich and they ran out of buns, so they asked if that was ok. Well not a sandwich without bread it just a crab cake. Now! The shrimp/crab boil was amazing! Best we've ever had. So all is forgiven. We will be back, when we visit next year! read more

I travel for work so I go to a lot of restaurants and I specifically go to a lot of sea food boils because i enjoy them. This was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. I can say most of it was service related and hopefully the waitress we had finds her true passion because it certainly isn't the service industry. She got our orders wrong as well as basically ignored us the whole time. No plates, no crackers, no refills on drinks. Had to ask for crackers and plates to at least be able to eat our boils. The food itself wasn't anything special. The shrimp and lobster were cooked well. The crab legs were small and were just really dry. Could barely pull the meat out of them. The potatoes weren't boiled enough and the corn was overcooked. In general the amount of food was also much less than you get at most boils. There's so many good seafood places around Melbourne I just don't see a point in taking a chance on this place again. I'll bring my business elsewhere. read more

This place only got 3 stars for the service because my waiter was super nice. I ordered a boil with snow crab, shrimp, sausage, and a side of noodles. I was SO excited to dig in because it looked delicious when it came out, but I was disappointed. I will start with the positive, the shrimp and potatoes were delicious and perfectly cooked. Some of the sausage was over cooked. The crab legs were flavorful but wildly over cooked except one, and the properly cooked one was way too salty. The side of pasta was good for the first few bites until I found something hard and clear in the bowl. It may have been a thick piece of plastic (pictured below). The guy in the back was also seemingly being rude to the waiter who was covering both the inside and outside by herself. I would consider giving this place another try because it may have just been a rough day for the kitchen, but I wouldn't order the pasta again though. read more

Maybe it was an off night, but I am in no rush to return. Came for an early dinner around 5PM yesterday evening. First time in since they've changed locations. Small place, nicely decorated, but it's lit like a school cafeteria which makes the stains on the walls and windows hard to ignore. Music in the dining room was about two feet away from a kitchen speaker playing different music so it was a very cloying atmosphere. Tried to order a lemonade but they were out. Tried to order a Blue Moon...but they were out. In fact they were out of about half their listed beers. I finally got a Jai Alai and they brought it to me in a can along with a soda cup of ice and a straw (?!). Absolutely bizarre. Boyfriend got a coke (a non-alcoholic drink menu is non-existent by the way) and it also came in a can, so no free re-fills. For a sodium-laden menu bound to make you thirsty, that's just cheap of them. We ordered a dozen raw oysters, an order of steamed mussels, and the buffalo shrimp as recommended by our waitress. The oysters came out first and they only brought us nine instead of a dozen. Huh. They were large, plump and fresh, but were not cleaned properly; we got a mouthful of shell and gristle with every bite. Very unpleasant. The mussels were small and shriveled, and a few of them were closed (why does the kitchen not check this before sending them out?). The garlic sauce was thin and watery and the bread accompanying the dish had a chemical-like taste. The buffalo shrimp were large and had a delicious sauce but were insanely over-cooked and not cleaned properly either! The fries were the only real enjoyable part of the meal. For a seafood joint, I was kind of in disbelief. A disappointing experience for sure. Unfortunate because the waitstaff were very nice and the prices reasonable. We came by here looking for some seafood. The place was steady, lots of people coming in to grab large to go orders. A few other people were sitting in there eating. The crab legs, shrimp, corn, potatoes, and sausage was good. It was very filling and flavorful! I wish there were crackers to help with the crab legs. We forgot to ask and got a fork. If you're wanting a boil, this is full of flavor and very good. My only issue was the front door said no outside food allowed. I get that but the kids menu was just macaroni and cheese or another pasta. So for parents or those who do want the seafood, it is limited for kids. We ended up leaving to get the kids something else. I will be back but probably order to go just for the fact that the kids aren't going to eat it. The lady working was nice. read more

It was Mardi Gras, and my first day of a vacation down to the Everglades. I wanted a good crawfish boil, because that's what you do on Mardi Gras. It is really hard to find good, affordable boils in Orlando. But I grew up on the Gulf Coast, so I was spoiled. I thought that for sure I could find a good place along the Space Coast, so I did some light research and found this place! I was correct that it was an appropriate amount of food for an appropriate price, but I was wrong to think this was a traditional boil. And I was wrong to think I would be getting some crawfish. I showed up, tried to place my order, and was told they were out of crawfish. I was truly aghast. Very irresponsible, honestly. So I ordered the next best thing, the Snow Crab and Shrimp Boil (2 Clusters of Snow Crab, 7 Wild-caught Royal Red Shrimp) (All boils served with corn, potatoes and garlic toast). What they don't tell you is that after the food gets boiled and put on the tray, it gets absolutely covered in an uncomfortable amount of boil seasoning that's coagulated with a full gallon (-ish) of butter. Not the kind of boils I'm used to. But once you accept the fact that you will need to not touch your phone while you're eating, and once you identify the in-dining-room sink that you can use right after your meal, you gotta dive in. Once you dive in, it's actually very good. Very nice sized clusters of snow crab, cooked very well, big juicy meats. Seven shrimp, those bright royal reds, very plump and sweet. Corn and potatoes for you to gnaw on, also cooked well. There's a seasoning that's not quite Old Bay, but Old Bay-ish. And then a nice piece of garlic toast, but I don't recommend sopping up all the butter. That just can't be good for you. Overall, this place won't give you the traditional boils that some of you might remember being poured all over the newspapered tables of your youth. But it'll give you something that's really good at a decent price. As long as they have it in stock. read more

You order at the counter, and we got the shrimp trio and crawfish. There's seating inside, but is very limited so we sat outside. There was also a food truck outside where you can get other stuff like fried seafood. The food didn't take as long as I expected it would, and it came in a bowl instead of a bag like other places. Each boil is served with 2 garlic bread, 3 potatoes, and 2 corns. It was pretty good, especially not knowing what to expect.
