Went for 90th birthday celebration Our experience was long and overdrawn out. We showed up around 5pm. DINNER TIME MR. MANAGMENT!!! We were seated right away and our server Nate was very engaging. We figured out what we wanted and ordered up our meals. Unfortunately for NATE and US the restaurant got very busy. One hostess, one bartender, one waiter. That was it. AND we all suffered as a result. Understand we can't have staff standing around but it was bad. Food came out and I think it was the manager who brought it out and looked to be cooking too. My fish and chips was hot and pretty good. The fried shrimp was good and the scampi flavorful. So one server for dinner hour? Also a tell was that there was no sweetener available except from the back of house. No sweetness on each table. Only salt and pepper. can't figure it out. Experience: lobster is my favorite food. So I like to treat myself to a freshly steamed lobster once a year for my birthday. So we came for lunch on a Friday around 1:00 for me to get my lobster fix. Facility: It's a nice size restaurant with plenty of room for big groups. There are booths, tables and chairs, and a bar too. There were quite a few tables that needed to be wiped down, but we still got a nice booth by the window. Service: we were seated immediately and had a good waitress that was attentive and patient with us. We requested many extra things and she never made us feel like we were annoying or bothering her. Food: YUM!!! The food was so good. The biscuits were hot and fresh, and my kid ate 4 of them. LOL! Of course we both ordered a lobster and it did not disappoint. It's such a fun thing to crack your own lobster and then enjoy the fruit of your labor dipped in melted butter. We also ordered a few appetizers: Crab dip - 4/5 good tasting ... slight crabby flavor in the cheesy dip. Mozzarella sticks- 5/5 mostly for my kid, but I ate one and it was good. Bacon wrapped scallops - 4/5 very good ... simply a scallop wrapped in bacon. How can you do wrong? You get two sides with your lobster... Roasted Brussels spouts - 5/5 you must try these... they are crispy and tender in the middle and the balsamic glaze is perfectly balanced. Salad - 5/5 can't go wrong with a side salad with their house ranch (I forgot to ask for no onions). Bacon mac and cheese - 4/5 creamy and delicious French fries - my kid ate them all. Lobster - 5/5 just perfect!! Steamed and they give it to you with the tools needed and items to clean, bib, napkins, lemon, etc. I want to go back now and eat some more after writing this. Overall: We have seen so many Red Lobsters close around the U.S. and Florida... I pray this will not be on the list. Such a great lunch... I hope people don't forget how good this place is. I kinda forget that this Red Lobster location is still open. Drove by after shopping at Best Buy and those biscuits called out to me. I ordered the Crab Carbonara and it was quite tasty. Plenty of crab, tomatoes, parmesan. I was a little concerned it would be mostly pasta but it was a good ratio. The drink menu was very tempting. I'm coming back when I have a designated driver. We went on a Sunday afternoon after seeing all the new commercials with the new CEO and the seafood boil bags. The restaurant was maybe 10% occupied. We receded ordered drinks and got our biscuits. Our waiter night was awesome and very attentive. The biscuits as always were delicious. We both ordered the seafood boil in a bag and although it's not quite as good as Louisiana seafood boils it was a good experience. The food was good. The biscuits were incredible and I got a really cool shaker cup to take home with my drink that has a lobster claw on top of it. Went there today for a wonderful whole boiled lobster meal. Hadstuffed mushrooms and two pound lobsters. Could not have been happier with the food quality, delivery, and follow up by the Manager Laicee H. We were there three months ago before Laicee came on board and the quality and service was terrible. The appitizer stuffed mushrooms came out about half way through the lobster meal. The meal came to us with only one nut cracker. The previouse manager said that all their nut crackers had been stolen. Some manager. The food was good, the service was iffy because a guy here was like where I was from and how come he never seen me. And I had to explain which I didn't have too. That a lady is seen not heard and I was in school and home. Not in the streets. I found that offensive. The second or third time I went my server didn't give me all of my change. Then he told me he didn't have it. I politely instructed him to go figure out how to give me all of my money back. Just weird here. I would always typically order the same thing. The Caesar salad or the seafood mix with a blue Long Island(which was so strong I couldn't even drink 15% of it. But I do plan on ordering something new when I come back. Waited almost 2 hours for our food (party of 6) When we finally got our food, one plate wasn't anything we ordered and the staff was upset at us, a seafood boil we had was barely warm and had a frozen corn cob. This is not an exaggeration, it wasn't a cold corn cob, it was straight frozen. We even had a manager come by at around an hour and a half and noticed we had been there awhile tell us she was going to check on our order, we never saw her again. Throughout this whole ordeal, we had 3 members say they would go check on our orders and none of them came back with an update. We decided to leave, paid for our drinks and left, we explained ourselves and a different manager was honest and said " I don't blame you" . My boyfriend and I went to this Red Lobster on New Years Eve. We were there for two hours waiting on sub par food that wasn't even warm. The only bright sides to the meal were a Caesar salad and the biscuits. If you were lucky enough to get one, the Bud Light was good, too. The restaurant was dead, and service was beyond slow, but we did get a lovely seat next to the bathroom, which was kind of convenient since we were there so long. I don't know what's happened to this restaurant, but I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Popeyes has better shrimp, and way better prices, and service is probably comparable. If I could give zero/negative stars this would be it. First off, never going back! We had reservations and arrived only to find out that it was a 90 minute wait for a table. They continued to take reservations knowing they couldn't accommodate arriving guests. Overbooked and under staffed is the politest way to describe this location. This was the second time this has happened and they will not get another chance. I'm amazed that this location is still in business. This location is so BAD I would NOT RECOMMEND this establishment to my worst enemy. It would be no surprise to find out this location went out of business. Save your time and money because aggravated is the best you can hope for. My mom and I haven't eaten at red lobster in years and decided to go yesterday because of the new menu items and whatnot to try it out again. The experience was lack luster at best and to top it all off my mom's seafood boil came out with the shrimp undercooked! When we told the server she did rectify the situation and the manager brought out a new one and the shrimp was cooked but had the wrong seasonings on it they then charged full price for everything. The meal that I ordered is usually good. Walt's shrimp were warm ( not crisp) and little greasy, the baked potato was warm. The plate was not appetizing! The chowder was warm and I had to eat it fast before it got cold. My husband had the Bowl and Hello said it was good. The waitress was pleasant and she heated my potato after I asked her. She offered refills. The biscuits were room temp and we didn't like the flavor and too salty. The worse part was that the restaurant was almost empty, dark and felt spooky. My husband asked for a window booth that was empty, but she refused to let him move saying the area we were in ( next to the. Slamming kitchen door) was where they were serving." Pretty much the standard Red Lobster here. Plenty of parking, busy on a Sunday night. After a long and exhausting trade show with few breaks except for yogurt and crackers we were very hungry and Red Lobster was close by. We both ordered Shrimp combos. Normally she would have ordered the Coconut Shrimp for her sweet tooth, and I the Fried Shrimp with cocktail sauce tempered with horseradish. But they were introducing a new, to us at least, Stiracha-Honey Shrimp, so we tried that with our usuals. It was excellent! Sweetness for my wife and a little fiery kick for me. Salad and biscuits were excellent, as usual. High marks for the food. Unfortunately service was lacking. It was busy so we allowed extra time but my requested horseradish came near the end of our meal. And my tea was empty for most of the meal. Every staff member we encountered was attentive, courteous, professional and efficient! We were immediately greeted and kept informed about readiness for a table and seated within 5 minutes of our arrival. We did not make a reservation but learned they take reservations now. Drink order was taken right away and the Bahama Mama never disappoints! Server was excellent without intruding, food portions and quality were excellent. I created my own two shrimp selections and upgraded to clam chowder and ordered a side of snow crab legs. My husband did the same minus the crab legs and ordered a new menu item, hush puppies which were delicious. Me and my boyfriend went on our lunch break on Saturday, we were in no rush so it was no biggie, but our waitress, I can't remember her name but seemed to be drowning in tables and so that made the service not very good which made her stressed it seemed. We were very understanding of how it can be hard to have that many tables but at times we never saw her anywhere and she walked with no pep in her step, it took roughly 15 minutes to get our drinks (water and sweet tea), the drinks she even brought out on a tray with our food, red lobster is definitely not the cheapest so we felt like they definitely either need more servers on or just ones that have a little pep in their step and act like they want to be there. We are traveling through Florida sampling local seafood. However, today my husband was hungry for a hearty lobster meal ala Red Lobster. So I tagged along. He had the Lobster Fest and I had the coconut shrimp lunch special. Our server, Jenny, was attentive, friendly and thoughtful. My husband loved the various selections he chose. We haven't ate there in a while but they put this orange powder stuff ALL over the pastas...not sure if it's old bay, season salt or paprika but it ruins the pasta. REFFERENCE # GM111224T 11/11 VETERANS DAY On this day a lot of restaurants in the community celebrate and honor our veterans by offering them a free meal or free item as a thank you for their service add sacrifice. As a military family we look forward to this day and we moved through the community with great pride. Most communities offer up a list of the restaurant and stores that are participating we go through and pick out the ones we'd like to go to and with almost all of our experiences they are pleasurable and the staff is welcoming and kind.However this was not the experience at the Red Lobster on 192 in Melbourne Florida. Keep in mind that this is a business that has been going under and it's barely staying afloat so you would think did their staff would be going above and beyond to make sure that all of the customers were treated well. My retired veteran went to this location as a proud Black Navy Vet but was met with disrespect! Let me set the stage the restaurant literally had 10 other customers during a lunch time hour which is when most restaurants are extremely busy, he was told by the greeter that he would have to wait 5 minutes to be seated ina basically empty restaurant. If you know anything about military people you have to know that for some of them it is very hard to get up and go out into the community because they suffer from things like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. My husband venturing out on his own is a big deal and I celebrate him even more so on those days because I know the extra effort that it's taking for him to get out into the community. On this day he went into Red Lobster thinking that he was going to be treated with respect and thanks for his service but instead he was greeted by a waitress that seemed to have a problem with serving a veteran and providing them with a free meal. She said to him "oh you're here for the free veterans meal" My husband was well dressed &neatly groomed with a pleasant attitude, but this waitress treated him as if he was a beggar off the street.She never once welcomed him in, she never once thanked him for his service and she didn't even ask him what he wanted she just tossed him a menu walked away, came back moments later took his order and brought him a filthy glass of water to drink. She eventually came back to the table sat down his meal and walked away! While sitting there he watched how she interacted with the other customers and she was not giving them the same lack of service but every time she would come back passed histable she would ignore him until she noticed that he was finished and this is where the whole situation turned on its head!!! When she saw that his plate was clear she walked up to him and said "YOU CAN GO NOW"!!!!!! She never asked him if he wanted to see the dessert menu or if you needed anything else or if he'd like to place a to go order she just assumed he was only there for a free meal. She treated my husband as if he was a beggar knocking on the back door of the restaurant begging for a meal!!! He actually wanted to place an order for other things and I plan on leaving her a generous tip but that all went out the window!!!! How dare she!!!! I personally went back to the restaurant and spoke to the manager Tammy who gave the impression that she was very appalled by the actions of her waitress and she offered an apology and gift cardbut for me that was not enough. My thought is this if you do not like working in the food industry or a customer service field then don't apply for the job. There are plenty of others out there who would love to have that job and would handle themselves accordingly! My request was that she be reprimanded by being written up and suspended from her duties. People like her need to understand that there are repercussions for your actions and that when you mistreat people Karma we'll come knocking at your door. And by the way this waitress was African American so it really Disturbed my spirit to know that a black woman would treat a black man in this manner in a public place. I plan on reaching out to the DM & CEO! I'm so disappointed and discussed ! I have and will continue to share ths expirence with my family and friends. Today I ordered a Whole30 bowl w/ salad greens instead of rice, w/ Steak and it was to come w/fajita veggies. I paid extra for corn salsa . 5 pcs of lettuce mix and the fajita veggies were practically uncooked . IF there was a tablespoon of corn salsa , I'm stretching the truth. A cup of guac overwhelmed the bowl. Unnecessary waste , but appreciated. Chips were stale. Kitchen mgr may need to retrain the staff. Had it delivered so I couldn't return to discuss .
