David guided me through every step with patience, kindness, and genuine empathy. He was always responsive, and available to answer questions or help with anything that came up along the way. I also felt the prices were reasonable. I am grateful to David and Wyman for helping me honor my loved one with compassion and care. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone, including and especially when coordinating arrangements from out of town.

My dad was so comforted by the way they cared for her that he told us he wanted to be cremated there as well when his time came. When we recently lost him, we handled everything over the phone, and even from a distance the staff's kindness came through clearly. They were patient, understanding, and incredibly respectful throughout the entire process. Every conversation felt personal, never rushed, and they made sure we understood each step. Even without walking through their doors, we felt supported and cared for. What meant the most was how consistent their compassion was -- years apart, for both of my parents. They treated our family with genuine warmth and professionalism, and it brought real comfort during two of the hardest moments of our lives. I'm deeply grateful for the care they provided, and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a funeral home that truly understands how to support families with dignity and kindness.

Since the early 1990s, I've been visiting this cemetery to visit the gravesite of my grandma with…read moremy grandad. Quarterly, we made sure to spruce up the flowers and clean up the stone a bit. Additionally, my dad would periodically take me to visit his brother's grave, though with the nature of his passing, it was always a harder visit. Sadly, as the years have passed, more of my family reside here. My Nanny passed very suddenly. Cancer diagnosis on a Wednesday and passed on a Friday. In 2006, the family found themselves quickly making accommodations that were unexpected. My grandpa said it was a pretty easy process, and he appreciated being able to future purchase to be buried with her. This made it incredibly easy when he would pass 8 years later as my aunt would take care of those accommodations without the financial burden. As for pricing, we all know it is not cheap to do so though I've heard it's fairly comparable to the surrounding area. The grounds have been well kept the last thirty years that I've frequented here, and my family has continued to chose this location as their final resting place. Thank you Mountain View for all you do to honor our loved ones!

There's only so much that you can really say about a cemetery/funeral home, right?…read more Well..... The grounds are well kept, there is plenty of parking, and most of the staff is very compassionate and friendly. I will mention that one receptionist in particular was very rude to my mother when we arrived. My Mom began to make her way toward the service we were attending and the woman at the front desk was very snippy with my Mom and told her not to go near the room where the service was being held. She said "It's not ready yet, the family is still setting up!!" My mom asked if she could just sit on the chairs outside the chapel and wait for them to finish setting up, the lady said "NO" with lots of attitude and frustration. I was completely beside myself on that type of behavior! So we sat in the front lobby on the chairs provided. There are 4 chairs in the main lobby, which suited our needs. Just when I thought I had already seen it all, the same woman gets up from her desk and storms over to the chapel area where the service would be held.... Muttering under her breath, walking briskly, and pulls the doors closed... Then continues back to her desk to sit down. I'm not sure if this is her normal behavior, but it could be argued that her personality type doesn't exactly jive with the typical crowd that attend a funeral home.... They also offer water bottles to guests & have a snack machine in the lobby. There are several rooms available for funeral services, which are spacious and comfortable. I will say that I was surprised to see that the pews are not bolted into the floor... I used the back of the pew to help myself up after a service & it disturbed the bench in front of me... That was embarrassing. All in all, the place is exactly what you'd expect. Aside from the rude woman that greets you as you enter the building. We have many relatives that are buried here & others that have been cremated. Aside from Fridays experience, I have never had a complaint about my encounters here.

We have actually used this mortuary in the past and had a much better experience when working with a different funeral director. Unfortunately, this time was completely different, and the experience we had with Monica was extremely upsetting. Monica lacked empathy and did not take the time to guide us through the process or explain our options. We specifically requested a viewing for my mother-in-law, and later were told she was not viewable. This was devastating, especially because we were then told it was due to us not requesting embalming, something that was never clearly explained to us. As a grieving family, we didn't even know what questions we were supposed to ask, and we relied on the funeral director to walk us through those decisions. Communication was also very difficult. Monica was rude on the phone and did not show understanding or compassion. When we expressed concerns or asked about alternative options, nothing was offered and there was no apology. When we ultimately decided to switch to another mortuary, the only response we received was that we would still have to pay. The lack of care, guidance, and empathy added unnecessary stress and sadness to an already painful time. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Tempe Mortuary to families looking for compassionate and supportive care.

If one wants to post an obituary on that site, one has to email it in a Microsoft Word file (as I was told by someone there) to East Lake Mortuary. Recently, I wrote an obituary for my brother and emailed a Microsoft Word PDF file to East Lake Mortuary. Days later the obituary was posted on the East Lake website by someone at East Lake. However, the version of the obituary that was posted there is different from the original obituary that I wrote and emailed to East Lake. The version of the obituary that was posted there has many typos, such as, many capital letters written in words where the letters are supposed to be lower case, no space between some words, and no space between paragraphs, except for one place where there is a space between one paragraph and the next one. None of these typos were in the version of the obituary that I had written and emailed to East Lake. Apparently, someone at East Lake Mortuary manually copied the obituary (that I emailed to there) on to the East Lake website, but the person who copied the obituary did not do a good job of it. Obviously, this should not have happened, and it could have easily been avoided. This obituary that is currently on the East Lake Mortuary website should be taken down (deleted) and then rewritten correctly on to the East Lake Mortuary website.
