Went for the first time tonight and will definitely be back. We had a meatball pizza. It had a soft, doughy crust and plenty of toppings. They had a good selection of beers and I tried a local porter on tap. Our waiter, Kyle, was great. Very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. The restaurant was clean. There was a good buzz but it wasn't too loud. It was a little higher priced than some pizza places but worth it. I highly recommend this place! read more

I love this place. The pizza is so good. I always sit at the bar, and the service is great. Beer prices are a little high, but there is always some kind of special, that helps. Also the shrimp po' boy is on point. Yum!! And the beer cheese with the pretzels is delicious!!!!!! read more

Went to meet some friends from high school. Kevin was our host. We all ordered something different which makes for a confusing order Good job. Great beer selection, I love their Greek salad. I'm not a huge red sauce fan, so cosmic karma is usually my go to for pizza. The calzones are huge! Always take half home. Everyone is friendly and the decor itself is pretty neat. read more

The pizza doesn't match up to the prices they charge. I've eaten at three or four Mellow Mushrooms in the south. Never good. However, my family likes it, so we go. It's pretty bad when Domino's or Papa John's is better, but I'd really rather have either than suffer through another MM experience. read more

I love Mellow Mushroom. At this particular location near Acworth I've found that if the parking lot is close to being full ... move on to another restaurant. We insisted on finding a parking space one night last week. It was not a good evening that followed. First of all our "fifteen minute wait" turned into thirty minutes. We sat for a long time when we finally got our booth. No beverages, just the menu. Finally we were able to order and after forty minutes or so our waitress approached with no pizza. It was very loud in this part of the room, but "they made your pizza, something, something, something, would you like a free appetizer?". We were starving. She brought us an amazing spinach dip. We finished that. More waiting. Then a pizza arrives. Not the pizza we ordered, but a pizza. In short (too late for that), we had a free appetizer, then a ... free pizza. After a manager studiously avoided being anywhere near our booth, the problem of the wrong pizza was apparently recognized in the back and our bill arrived with charges shown only for a coke and a beer. I would much rather pay for my pizza and have at least an hour of my life back. read more

Wish I could've given this place a better review. Generally enjoy Mellow Mushroom and wanted to give the Acworth location a try. My husband and I came for lunch today and were sat immediately and then forgotten about. There was one other table in the restaurant who already had their food. We sat for 15 minutes without anyone even coming to get our drink order, much less food, and then decided it wasn't worth it. There wasn't even an employee in sight to try to complain to get service. The hostess disappeared, no wait staff ever showed up, and no manager in sight. I hope the food is better than the service, I guess we won't know. read more

I have been a customer of this Mellow Mushroom for many years and recently had a bad incident happen. They have some new types of hoagies that are very good but they do not indicate in the advertisement of them that they cost more and are not a part of the M-F value meals. I found this out when I ordered one of them during the week as my value meal and the manager (who I know) did not tell me. When my bill came, it was $18.00 and some odd cents and was shocked. The manager had broken down the bill into each part such as hoagie, tatter tots, drink, and so on. I made him change the bill but was shocked at his rudeness and being so cold since I was a devoted customer. I did complain to them but have plans on going to the corporate office and take it further up the line to ensure I get justice. Also, will start going to another Mellow Mushroom in my vicinity. Avoid this Mellow Mushroom and go to another one in town. read more

Went there twice, never again! Way overpriced for what you get. Both times handed them coupons. Both times had to get the manager to honor them. 2 small pizzas + coffee+hot tea+1 appetizer = $58 after a free appetizer coupon?! That must have been one heck of a fantastic pizza... Too bad since they are just down the block from us. We won't be going back there again! read more

Grest pizza for take-away or in house dinning. The Acworth location is convenient with plenty of parking. Try the Bruschetta with light balsamic glaze it is a tasty starter. The menu lists several house special pizzas, as well as, build your own. The staff are friendly and the wait times are accurate. Neat décor, worth at least a trip. Service was a little sub par; server was nice, but the whole process seemed to be less than well managed. I'm simply not a fan of doughy pizza. I appreciate the ingredients being better than most, but it just wasn't "great" pizza. It all depends on your preference of pizza. An experience,sure. An often repeated visit, not so much. read more

This is being generous. I am a 30 year veteran of the F&B industry, this is out of my character to even write a review. If I didn't I would be doing this restaurant a great disservice. I love Mellow Mushroom always have from the Original in Sandy Springs. I live out in Acworth, not known for their restaurants, service or quality of staff to pull from. Prime example, I entered the restaurant at 2:00pm with my fiance and our 7mo. old son. Greeted by a very friendly host staff and seated right away. I went to the restroom and withing 4 minutes returned to the table (on the patio) asked her if she had been greeted---NO, our son was fussy so I gave him a bottle, at this time a server had greeted a table next to us and two other servers had interacted with the two tables on either side of us. We were never acknowledged. My son finished his bottle and at this time it is 2:17, seventeen minutes had passed, my fiance looked at me and asked me what did I want to do, I said its my day off and I want some good pizza, another 5 minutes passed and still no greet. I understand things happen, I understand staff gets busy, but for three servers to approach every other table within the vicinity of our table and no acknowledgement I don't get it. This to me is poor management, poor training and poor awareness. Wonder why Acworth has so many restaurants come and go, here is a big contributor. Here is the big finish, we pick up, packed up and decided to leave, upon passing the Host/ess stand, one of the hosts placed his hands over his mouth in embarrassment, the manager or maybe owner (I really hope not), stood in the middle, I mentioned upon leaving that we were never greeted, he could have cared less (paycheck manager) then his said oh, if you would like to stay and we just continued to our car. This is why the F&B industry struggles, poor management, poor operators, poor food quality and a staff that has no clue about service (poor training). Love Mellow Mushroom Pizza, this is a huge piece of property and I'm sure with a big overhead. I wish them the best, even though my review probably doesn't represent that. I never write reviews, I just never return. I would like to think that I know service, and if that was the manager, better improve his awareness level. What really upsets me, we settled for another restaurant were the pizza isn't half the quality. read more
