    Ceasar with fried calamari

We had a wonderful dinner on a busy Friday night. Their computer system was down from a power outage but they had various ways to pay. Our waitress was wonderful and cocktails were fun for the holiday season. The food was good but nothing stood out as outstanding. We had a birthday in the group and they served a little cannoli that was sweet.

Zoe was a wonderful server was great at assisting with special dietary needs. I met a friend for dinner who had never dined with you before. She loved it! This says I updated my review from 11 days ago.. not really an update.. it was another awesome visit

Caesar salad (normally dressed, but I like it on the side)

The first time I ate at Fusco's was the day that Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson both passed away. I remember that T ordered mussels, and I had seared ahi. We were so impressed that more than a decade later we still rank Fusco's amongst one of our favorite local restaurants. Technically, my review is 4.75 stars .... but since I like the owner (a no-nonsense, hands-on former Brooklynite) I rounded up. Most entrees are served with either a Caesar or Mista (field green) salad. Everyone at my table ordered something different. The general consensus: delicious! ** Sausage and Peppers -- a wonderful choice. Served with a soft hoagie roll, I tore off pieces and topped the bread with the goodies on my plate. After the fact, I realized my dish was supposed to come with marinara sauce. It didn't. But I probably wouldn't have used it anyway. ** Gamberi Fra Diavolo -- Ellen asked that her shrimp and pasta be cooked mild vs spicy (thus the fra diavlo!) No problem! ** Zuppa di Pesce -- Another winner with shrimp, mussels, clams, calamari and tomato broth served over spaghetti ** Short ribs -- one of the evening's specials. A perfect choice for our friend who leans towards basic American fare. For dessert my husband and I shared cannoli, three minis per order. Based on a Yelper's comment that the shells are partially filled, I asked our server to make sure they didn't skimp on the ricotta. Perfecto! As good as what I get in NYC. Our friends shared a chocolate souffle. Plated with a scoop of ice cream it was a pretty presentation and according to Ellen, tasted as good as it looked. Fusco's has a dedicated following. Reservations, particularly for Friday or Saturday evening, are strongly suggested. If there is no street parking, feel relatively confident you won't be towed in the lot across the street, when the medical facility and neighboring pharmacy are closed. One last comment: during the height of the pandemic the restaurant wasn't open for lunch. If they're back to their former hours and you like decadent bad-for-you Italian cold cuts -- yes please! -- consider the Mulberry Street sandwich. No restaurant I've been to duplicates its deliciousness.

Nice little Italian place, we sat out on the patio when she was quite comfortable with the ceiling fans and heaters in the winter time. Service was extremely pleasant. We had the butternut squash ravioli and A Pepperoni flatbread very good. The only thing a bit confusing it is next-door to a pizza place with the same name so if you were looking for the round pizzas this is not your place. It would be nice if they would offer a few of those pizzas at the restaurant. In downtown Acworth which is a cute upcoming area.

This is an excellent dish. Duck is very tender, perfectly done. I gave 4/5 stars because one of the servers accidentally stepped on my foot and did not apologize, and the manager saw this and gave me a dirty look. I felt extremely awkward for the rest of my meal as I saw them looking at me afterwards. Otherwise, excellent food

Now that our daughter lives in north GA and we are in south Atlanta, get togethers are tough. But for a combined birthday celebration we settled on this gem. There were 7 of us and I reserved a table, which was a good idea. With 3 adults, 3 finicky teenagers and a VERY talkative 5 year old, our server Kayla had her hands full. But she never lost patience, never broke character. She memorized our orders, and despite many, many changes to the "official" menu, she got it all right. Catering to 3 vegetarians and one gluten-free diet, we ordered pastas, pizzas, salads and more. My Italian husband's Shrimp Diavolo was the best he's ever eaten, and I loved the special, which was Beggars Purse Pasta stuffed with cheese and pears! My 19 yo grandson took several bites and was sorry he hadn't ordered it. A less-sophisticated 15 yo didn't care for his pasta so they graciously changed it for him, and the 5 yo also gave her pasta to another sibling and then asked for a child's pizza. The gluten-free spaghetti tonight was spaghetti SQUASH, perfectly done, healthful and delicious. We all managed dessert, and everyone got something different: tiramisu, cheesecake, gelato, cannoli and chocolate souffle! Definitely our most-expensive meal out with all this crew, but also worth it. Next birthday we're bringing them one at a time!

I had two lambs with mash and you had Mahi with veggies. I also had Chianti red wine with it which combined well.

I've been to the two locations (Acworth and Calhoun) on several occasions, always order the veal parm. It's always fantastic. The veal is very well seasoned and tender enough to cut with a fork. Every single time!! Four stars due to the lack of greeting every time I've been there. Four stars because the servers tell you they'll be right back with something but you have to continuously remind them. Great ambiance in both locations. The cooks in the kitchen move the food very quickly. It is always served hot. Their servers, however, are what's keeping this from being a five-star review. My advice to the servers, especially when you're NOT busy: 1. Greet the customers as we enter. 2. Be friendly other than when you're taking my order. 3. Fulfill your promises timely. 4. Remember, you are in a service role. Your service directly impacts your restaurant's reputation and repeat customers. I'll keep coming back for the food. I will continue to be critical of the service until it improves. I look forward to the day I can give Doro's five stars.

On the inside it's a quaint dining area with a parlor style, very simple chairs and tables. You've got full view of their pizza oven which is engraved with Vesuvio on the front. Sparsely decorated with vintage and photos reminiscent of Napoli Italy. They host Neapolitan style pizza which includes simple and fresh ingredients and a thin crust making it easy to fold a piece of their pies together to prevent spills. There is a small fridge with drinks on the side. You go up to the counter, grab a menu and tell the cashier/hostess what you want and you pay right at the counter. Tipping is optional. We ordered the margherita and porcillina pies. The first had all the expected toppings. I really liked the taste of the fresh mozzarella and they didn't heavily sauce it so it was a delicate balance. Topped with marzano tomatoes and basil was so delicious. The second was topped with Italian sausage and spicy salami. Just a slow heat that wasn't overpowering which I really liked. The crust on both were very evenly cooked, a wonderful blend of chewy and crispy. I also didn't feel like these pies were heavy. They didn't weigh down your stomach afterwards. I was also eyeing their homemade bruschetta which I think I would try next. The prices here were also quite good, no higher than 16 dollars making an affordable night out. The simplicity and freshness of the food makes it worthwhile to visit and try for yourself!

No table service! No iced soda drinks. AND EXPECTING A SERVICE TIP. LOL. Owner and customers need another trip to Naples to sample real Neapolitan pizza. I give the owner a good attempt to bring Naples pizza to Atlanta. Too many try, too many fail. This joint has a chance with a few improvements. Ditch the thin paper picnic paper plates for starters! If you desire to use paper plates with no table service, then reduce your prices. Keep up the good work. You have a good following, just make a few minor changes that would make a big difference. Or maybe a paper plate self service joint is what you want. If so, the pizza will only decline in service.

Not sure what happened but in 2024-present the food is not good. The service keeps getting slower and terrible. It took like 20 minutes for drinks to come out, an hour for the food. I also hated when the bill came the server circled the tip suggestions, like he demanded the tip. While we still tipped, I felt the service was very undeserving of 30%.
