There's a porch, little tables tucked into different spaces, and none of it feels staged or designed to manufacture some trendy "coffeehouse aesthetic." In fact, I noticed something while sitting here: I don't see electrical outlets conveniently positioned at every table. I don't see a sea of laptops. Instead, I hear locals talking about doctor appointments, seeing the grandkids this weekend, and how ridiculously hot Augusta has been. People are simply here. I came in expecting to grab a coffee and leave. I have places to go and things to do today. But I sat down. Then I started looking around. Then I realized I didn't really want to leave. At some point they had probably been calling my drink for several minutes and I hadn't even noticed. And then I ordered a second coffee. That might be the best review I can give Buona Caffe. The coffee itself is absolutely on point. The staff knows what they're serving, makes thoughtful recommendations and genuinely seems to care about getting it right. But what makes this place special is everything surrounding the cup. It almost feels like they don't completely realize what they have here -- or maybe they do and simply have no desire to make it anything more than what it already is. As this part of Augusta continues to grow, with new homes and businesses coming into the area, I hope places like Buona Caffe remain exactly as they are. Sometimes you need a place between where you've been and wherever you have to go next. Somewhere neutral where you can sit down, let a little time pass, decompress and breathe before heading back out onto Central Avenue. Buona Caffe is that place.

My daughter and her friend was just there tonight, while her friend went to go to the bathroom,a black male approached my daughter,was harassing her,tried to take their pizza and my daughter's money,I have not ever felt so concerned about being my daughter being out even if she's grown,than I am now, she was very distraught, upset,I told her that she should have called the cops but she didn't want to cause a scene I don't care if she would have or not when it comes to my daughter. It's sad that she can't feel safe going anywhere without holligans acting like they can't being rubbish and bullying a young woman,then to think about trying to take her money,how low can one be. When one is tempted to find themselves saying "worst pizza ever" or "most $@#!ed pizza" it's very easy to feel like you are in the right. The hard part is to remain thoughtful and to be mindful of the what the words really mean. After all, when one is so full of bile, and not yummy pizza, harsh statements can so readily. How can this one pizza joint be the "worst ever" when there is any other location still in existence? We all know that the next time you're forced by bad luck or an ill-timed child custody hearing to hack down a piece of dry or underdone icky crust, it's going to be the worst time ever. Too bad the pizza is NEVER consistant, if it comes out burned completely they still serve it and expect you to eat it. It is hard for you to get them to re-make you one that is what you ordered. My order was scheduled to be ready at 6:56 PM, and I arrived at approximately 6:55 PM to pick it up. When I walked in, there was one customer ahead of me checking out. After she left, the employee turned away from the register and began doing other things. I waited patiently, expecting someone to acknowledge me and ask if I was there for a pickup. Two other employees approached the register, but neither one acknowledged me. About five minutes later, another customer walked in, went to the bar, and sat down. The same employee who had helped the customer before me immediately acknowledged him and gave him a menu. At that point, I finally said, "Excuse me, ma'am, I'm here to pick up an order." Another employee came from the back and acknowledged a different customer who had walked in after me. She then went to the back and brought that customer his pizza order. Meanwhile, I was still standing there waiting for my order and wondering why I had been completely overlooked. Finally, a third young lady came out with my order. At that point, the employee who had been at the register asked me, "Have you been helped?" I replied, "FINALLY." She smiled and walked away. I took my order and left. Unfortunately, this experience left me extremely disappointed. It wasn't the wait for my food that bothered me--it was the lack of acknowledgment and basic customer service. A simple "Hello, we'll be right with you" would have made a huge difference. I have no problem being patient when I'm acknowledged and know what's going on. But standing there while employees help customers who arrived after me, without anyone acknowledging me, is frustrating and unacceptable. Based on this experience, I have no intention of returning to Pizza Central in Evans. I hope management takes this review seriously and uses it as an opportunity to address customer-service expectations with the staff

I got the 10 in with Alfredo sauce, artichokes, black olives, chicken as sausage with a balsamic glaze drizzle...fire! And my son had the cheese pizza which he dramatically proclaimed it was the best pizza he'd ever had. I don't come to a pizza joint expecting 5 star service but if I could offer a word of advice? Don't create a barrier for people trying to patronize your establishment. A simple "how can I help" could go a long way. But other than that solid pizza and I'd come again.
