I have been to MM 3 x's since they opened in Cottleville. And it is delicious. The salads are phenomenal, the pizza is great. The servers are helpful in breaking things down for you and providing options. You can basically customize each half of your pizza any way you want. Order from the menu, or build your own. The most recent time I visited MM, we customized our pizza 1/2 for the kids and 1/2 for the adults. Everyone was happy. We will be back. Especially since they are on the no-wait App, which it is the ONLY way to go. (Those complaining are expecting StL style pizza, and this gratefully is NOT it). read more

We had our son and daughter in law's rehearsal dinner at Mellow Mushroom and boy, did we choose a great place! They had us all set up for 25 people beautifully when we arrived and was quickly introduced to our amazing server, Katie. Between her and her crew of helpers (for lack of a better word), we were taken care of so well. Tara, the bartender also tended to us with quick and excellent service. The general manager Ahmad checked on us several times to be sure we were happy and everyone was taken care of. Food and drinks were quickly and deliciously served and enjoyed. The atmosphere is so fun and upbeat. I don't think we had one problem (except us being 7 minutes late - so sorry about that!!). We go to Mellow Mushroom as a couple and a family and now we can add as a wedding party and extended family. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! read more

Still some kinks to work out (only 2 weeks open), but great none the less. Awesome 80s theme, jamming some of the best 80s had to offer. Food was great, maybe a little too much garlic on the Wholly Shiitake pizza than the other locations I've been to across the US. I expect a chunk of garlic per bite, not 10 chunks of garlic per bite. Again, still working out the kinks. Regardless, this is some of the best pizza out here! If you're wanting to try MM I would give it a month. It's packed, loud, a little frantic right now. You're looking at minimum 1 hour to sit, and another 44-60 for your pies. Btw, the waiting area is badly planned. It's wayyyyy to small for a place like this. That said, you can go to the bar and get a drink while you wait... think outside the box. Get a drink. We got the Kosmic, Wholly Shiitake, and the BBQ. Kosmic was outstanding as was the BBQ. The WS was over garlicky but normally this is our favorite at other MM locations. We'll be back! Especially when that patio opens! Forgot to mention the bar area is really neat. Lots go great beers on tap! Also they have some slushy drink machine which is something I've never seen. Although it's a pizza place I think its definitely a good bar to sit at and have a couple of drinks with a friend or a date night close to home!!! read more

It's a good spot, we come here around once a month. Our go to is the Cosmic Karma pizza and we make some slight changes to it, perfecting it for our palette. I also end up doing the surveys on the receipts to get $5 off for the next time, so it's not too heavy on the wallet. Definitely a positive experience every time we come here! read more

***UPDATE*** 5 months later, my husband talked me into going back to MM, so VERY MUCH better!!!Ethan was our server, he was excellent and on top of everything for us. Talked to the Managers (Jordan & Josephine), they were both very accommodating and apologized for the experience we had last time!!! Our food came out in a timely manner and was outstanding!!! Josephine even said she would look into stocking Gluten Free beer since my husband needs the GF pizza! Definitely redeemed themselves!!! Thank you MM, we WILL be back!!! Mellow Mushroom...it was our 3rd attempt to eat here as the wait times were 45 mins. or more, use the yelp app. to be put on the waitlist!!! It all started off pretty well, the server spoke about the gluten free pizza (why I was there) and we ordered. Then things went downhill fast, (or I should say extremely slow). A half an hour after ordering our server came back to ask me what I ordered... first sign we were not going to get our pizza anytime soon. After an hour my husband got his GF pizza (he says it was good), 15 min later my oldest son got his pizza and I got a pizza I did not order. Had to send it back. 15 minutes after that my youngest son got his pizza. So now we are not eating as a family. By this time I'm done. Finally 30 min later 2 hours in, I got my pizza that was not cooked all the way. We let the server know and we got a "my bad". It's to bad really, I was looking forward to eating at this place. My husband said the GF pizza was good, but service was bad enough not to go back. What ever happened to good timely service? To top off this experience our bill was wrong, we were charged twice for my pizza (the one that was messed up)! O well, off to find a new pizza place that has GF pizza. We went here today. They were moderately busy but the kind waitress did let us know when we ordered that they were overwhelmed with carry out orders and it would be awhile before we got our pizza which was fine with us. The pizza was good but when we were leaving the bill we had ordered a beer and wine before we left which hadn't came to us for over 20 min after we paid our bill. We ended up just leaving and told them not to worry about refunding us. I can't imagine how much longer that would have taken. I didn't get so much as an apology from the hostess and was told 2x when I called that my order would be "5 more minutes". Very good pizza and calzones/ Strombolis. Nice atmosphere and the wait staff were friendly.

Mellow Mushroom is definitely my favorite hand crafted pizza restaurant. I make the drive from downtown St. Louis ever couple of weeks. The environment is fun, vibrant, and friendly. All the staff including the owner hussle to keep their guests happy at all times and to keep the wait down. My family loves to get pizza here. It's one of the few places in St. Charles County that has really tasty vegan options. We always get the buffalo chicken pizza with buffalo tempeh instead of the chicken with the vegan cheese. So stinking good. We also love the veggie calzone and the tofu hoagie as well. We have eaten here twice. Wait times are still long... def plan ahead and checkin online. Pizza was ok... not a lot of flavor, too much sauce and cheese. It appeared somewhat undercooked ‐ cheese was barely melted and the bottom wasn't crisp/crunchy. The appetizers however were great (artichoke dip, bruschetta, etc.). "Shoo fly, you bothered me" This was my first time to a Mellow Mushroom restaurant and will be the last time, at least for the one in St. Charles, MO. The flies in the restaurant were disgusting. We asked our server if we could move to another table, but she stated that the flies were on each side of the restaurant. She commented on how the delivery people would keep the door open and the flies were becoming a problem. It's pretty bad when you have to cover up your pizza with a napkin while you are trying to eat it, so the flies wouldn't land on it. Can you imagine the fly situation as the cooks are trying to prepare the food? The manager came over to ask how everything was and she didin't seemed to concerned about the fly situation or the fact that I said I would never dine here again. It's a shame we had to eat so fast and really didn't have a chance to enjoy the food. read more
