Was here with a group of about 15 tonight. The food was consistent with other mellow mushrooms. The crust is a little doughier than pan crust with a large edge crust. I split the white pizza (added grilled chicken) with a friend and it was very good. The waitress had trouble keeping up with our group with items like drinks, clean plates, napkins, etc., and really looked like she could have used some help. I think there are likely better casual restaurants in town but if you want pizza this is a fine choice. read more

I have to go to mellow mushroom every couple of months to get my "real" pizza fix. Perfect crust, abundant toppings, & tasty ingredients. I was pretty disappointed the last time we went on a Sunday after church where the order got made wrong so we had to wait for another one to be made entirely so 45 minutes after getting the order in the waitress stood visiting with another female, and one of the cooks while our pizza sat there, cooling to room temperature. Since we were starving by that point, it did make consuming it easier but I would prefer to choose whether to burn off the roof of my mouth, myself! Hoping it was just an off day. This was our third visit and we hadn't had any real issues till this last one. Still worth the torture for the pizza though. read more

This is the 2nd time we ate here. Last night was terrible. The 1st thing the waitress told us was she was also taking care of a 35 person party. My husband asked what kind of beer they had and she handed him the menu and said, "I'm Tired". It took an hour from the time we ordered until the time we received our food. Someone besides our waitress brought out our food. My calzone wasn't even warm, the cheese wasn't melted. The Mountain dew was watered down, we had to ask for silverware. We didn't see our waitress until we were given the bill. She never asked how our meal was. She grabbed our credit card and the bill off of the table and then returning the receipt and the card back to the table without even saying Thank you or have a good night or anything else to us. Stopped into this Mellow Mushroom back in January for lunch. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cool and very unique which made for a fun experience. My only complaint was in regards to the interior temperature. It was January and relatively chilly outside (38F). I had a very hard time getting warm inside and the fact that the restrooms are not part of the main restraurant (you have to go out of the restaurant to a side hallway) made them even colder. I got a gluten free veg out pizza thanks to a gluten intolerance. It was my first experience at a mellow mushroom- I don't often get GF pizza and was happy with my order. The flavors were a little bland but not bad by any means. In comparison with a Dominos pacific veggie pizza however, Dominos trumps on flavor. Our server was friendly. read more

I went with a couple of friends. It was the first time there for all of us. The place looks amazing. I loved the atmosphere. The servers were great. I got the Italian hoagie and it was just ok. If I went back I'd try something different. One friend got a calzone and it was massive! It looked very good. My other friend got pizza and seemed to enjoy it. I should have asked them to rate it! Kim is the BEST bartender there! I love coming in there & seeing her! Raelynn is also a fantastic server! I frequently come into Mellow because of their great service, the great liquor and beer selection, and the pizza - which is phenomenal! The beer selection is always changing and I love it because I get to try new things. This pizza place is like no other! 10/10 on the crazy (yet delicious) pizzas, 10/10 on service, & 10/10 on the rest of the menu! Some of the best food in town! The only reason I didn't give them a five star is because any of the beer off the tap has a horrible taste about it but I don't care at all because the food is incredible! Expect a long wait time often! What I like to do is sit at the bar Dry Grounds and order from Mellow and have them walk it over! They are so kind to do that and dry grounds doesn't mind at all! Perfect for a warm day! They have lovely outdoor seating. As for eating at mellow the coke factory id a timeless setting! A but echoey in there and not the best spot for an intimate date but excellent all the way around! read more

We ordered the Mellow Chicken Salad hoagie, Thai Chili chicken wings, mellow mushroom soup and the Funky Q chicken pizza. We also got a free pretzel bites from Yelp. The only thing wrong with the hoagie, there could have been more salad on it. That being said, the chips too you off just right. The wings were devoured and my son chose not to finish his soup so he could have some pretzel pieces and chicken from the pizza. The pizza was "delicious"! The sweet tea was perfect and it came with a biodegradable straw! Very thoughtful. Service was impeccable as well. Thank you Mellow Mushroom for the ambiance and sustenance. read more

Opening Night!!! This is probably the most anticipated restaurant opening in Paducah's history. It is at least the most hyped in the past ten years. On the whole, it earned these 5-stars and here's why. Mellow Mushroom's pizza is just outstanding. If you have ever been to another location, you already know this. You can build your own, but the house varieties are great. The kids wanted the Mighty Meaty. It was full of pork and stuff...not really my scene. Our other was the Wowie Maui and it is amazing. It's not like the other Hawaiian pizzas, it has pesto and chicken. Just wonderful! You know what else is wonderful? Getting the pretzel bites for a tasty appetizer, then keeping the extra beer cheese to dip your crusts in. Do it, don't look back. The drink selection is awesome, forty beers on tap with a huge variety of local, craft-domestic, and imported. Service tonight was good, but there was a bit of a wait between the appetizer and the pizza. It looked like there was quite a line of servers waiting to use the touch-screen register. Maybe there is a learning curve to get through. On opening night (and it was packed from the time the doors opened at 10:30 am) a little bit of a wait is just fine. The location is right in the heart of Midtown Paducah in a restored Coke Bottling Plant. Also in the same building as a tea & coffee shop, a yoga place, a music studio, the best brewery around, and an art collective. How's that for hipster?!?! The Mushroom is covered in original art and the renovation has kept the original art deco feel, but made it contemporary. Well done, designers! The coolest restaurant ever! Their pizza is amazing and they have good pretzel bites with beer cheese.

We've tried to like this place several times. First time we came we had 4 guests. We waited 45 min for pizza (which was expected) the real kicker was when it took an hour to get my salad while everyone else was done with their pizza my salad came. With no apology. Second time I came I ordered a veggie burger when it came I asked if it was a veggie burger bc it looked like beef. The waitress swore it was. Thankfully my husband tried it. I was right it was beef. I sent to back and again it came after everyone was finished. It was a veggie burger on just a bun with no dressings. She took 10% off a whole 90 cents. The last and final time for us was at the bar where the guy bartenders refused to wait on my husband bc he brought a barstool up. Fantastic selection of preplanned pizzas and a HUGE list of ingredients for a BYO. I went with red sauce, salami, anchovies, banana peppers, mozzarella and green olives. A second to none crust. My favorite spot in Paducah! The building is beautiful and has a unique history. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable. My family and I (a party of 10) made a reservation a couple days before. I'm glad we did, as it happened to be "Bingo Night" (which was very popular). Our food was outstanding...I would highly recommend the Great White pizza. The menu has options for everyone, including vegetarian/vegan!
