Dont know how someone took these out of the oven and put them in a box to deliver instead of the trash. All cooked differently, uneven, burnt yet soggy. The gluten free pizza was actually comical. Did someone let their kid cook these in an easy bake oven

Ordered a burger that came with tots. Or at least that is what I thought I ordered. When the food finally arrived, my burger was missing condiments and was served alongside a bag of chips. I asked the waiter about the tots from the menu and he said they were still being prepared but he didn't want me to wait on the burger so he brought chips. When the tots finally came they were clearly pre-frozen and nowhere near as described on the menu. Burger was fine and the pizza was good but the tot thing was overly disappointing. They also forgot other parts or our order along the way.

Pizza was delicious. Food was fresh and prepared quickly. Bar tender was so sweet and attentive. Definitely Worth a quick walk.

A little better than what you expect from a typical MM experience Cheap happy hour that is worth it - $7 pretzel bites & $2.50 PBR on draft The staff were stretched thin but proactive so a little bit of a longer wait

Two of us really liked this place, the rest thought it was fine. There is a lot of colorful painting in this place. It's very casual and appeared to accommodate groups quite easily. The cheese bread was delicious. We loved the Holy Shiitake pizzas. The flavors were great. I recommend going with thin crust. My one niece ordered the soft pretzel trio and felt that they were too hard. She ate the inside but not the outside, kids, haha. My mom had the meatball trio. She loved the presentation and did mention they had a bit of a bite to them. Staff was friendly. If I see another mellow mushroom, I would 100% go back for pizza.

My wife and I went here on Halloween. It was GREAT! The food was excellent and our waitress was awesome! We will definitely return the next time we are in town.

I visited on a Tuesday around lunch time. I did a pick up order for 5 slices and 4 salads. When I arrived the food was not ready so I sat at the bar to wait, which is where I was directed to go for pick up orders. The restaurant was very clean and I really liked the open kitchen concept so you're able to watch as pizzas are being prepared. Lots of indoor seating space and a few tables outside for those not too hot/humid Savannah days. I enjoyed both my pizza and salad, my only issue was the wait was nearly 40 minutes on top of the 25 minutes I was told when I called and placed my order. The restaurant was not busy, however there were only two people preparing the food and they seemed to be overwhelmed.

Don't have your posted hours going until 11pm if you're closed before 10:15pm. Fine not to be a late night option, but don't pretend.

Not what it used to be. Boring atmosphere and rude staff. Food mid. What happened to the old mellow?

I was debating between the Fried green tomato BLT or the Caprese Grilled cheese then our server Kristin suggested the mussels and that is what I ended up with and I am so glad I did. These were absolutely the best mussels I've ever had. The sauce was not the traditional garlic/shallot wine sauce but had more tomato and basil reminiscent of warm bruschetta. I had to borrow my husbands spoon to get every bit of that sauce after I finished my mussels. My husband had the famous shrimp and grits which he absolutely loved. He noted it wasn't overpowered with sausage like most other restaurants do but had a perfect balance of flavor. My mom got the lamb burger and also loved every bite. She loved lamb so as soon as she saw that she had no doubt what she was going to order. Both my husband and mom loved every bite. I can see why The Public Kitchen is so popular. The restaurant has some indoor and outdoor seating with a mix of tables and banquets along the walls. It was comfortable without being too crowded. This was my first visit to The Public but It definitely won't be my last.

Open only until 2:00 PM, if you're looking for breakfast, brunch or lunch, this is the place to be. Arriving at just about noon, the place was packed, but not unpleasantly so, with customers that quickly moved through the ordering process, past the register, and to the ample seating, of their own choosing (with limited outdoor seating available; but not preferable at the time, due to the spotty showers that also choose to attend). Beverages are provided as payment is being made, leaving no thirst unquenched. Needless to say, seating is immediate. With a cup of rich, flavorful, house blend coffee in hand, my daughter, Son in Law, and I found a seat with a great view of the market activities happening outside only moments before our meals were served. The Italian Panini, chock full of succulent mildly spicy meats and lettuce, covered proportionately with dressing (yes, I was given my own bite size sample) , was my daughter's choice; a visually appealing (although not personally sampled) breakfast platter was the pick of the day for my Son in Law; and, Salmon BLT, composed of one thick, juicy piece of salmon, bursting with flavor, accented by a slice of smokey bacon atop a crisp bed of lettuce, slathered in a mild, but tasty, mustard based sauce, between two halves of a soft , flakey, croissant that more than rivaled the size of an average hamburger bun, was my choice. It did not disappoint. At just under $45.00, before tip, all of this seemed like a bargain. If there could be a downside to this experience, and I would say there couldn't be, it would be that, when visiting Savanah, choosing the place to eat jus became a bit more difficult, with Goose Feathers now in contention.
