Mellow Mushroom Snellville is Mellow #12 on my quest to dine in all the world's Mellow Mushrooms. This Mellow is a vintage mellow straight out of 80s/90s America--a little oasis of happiness and cheer on the unzoned stretch of concrete and chains that is state route 78. Our server was super pleasant, even when we accidentally stayed well past closing and precluding her from conducting her tip out. The food was tasty as can be and quick too-- "hot and ready" as Little Caesar would say. I would say I'll be back, but I don't plan on driving on state route 78 ever again unless I'm fleeing Atlanta in an apocalypse. But if that day ever comes, I'll stop at Mellow Mushroom Snellville on the way. read more

We finally dined in at Mellow Mushroom after ordering delivery from here so many times, and it did not disappoint! We started with the Little Greek Salad, which was fresh, crisp, and the perfect light starter. The buffalo wings with ranch were flavorful with just the right amount of heat, and the ranch paired perfectly. For our main, we did a create-your-own medium pizza, and as always, the crust was perfectly baked and the toppings were generous and tasty. The food was consistently good (just like when we order delivery), but dining in gave us the full experience -- great atmosphere, friendly service, and everything came out fresh and hot. I always see this place in passing but never ever stopped in. One day I decided just to make a special trip to see if it was worth the visit. Upon entering I was greeting by a young lady who seemed very friendly. This reminds of a hang out place for youngsters lol. It was not crowded at all and there were families eating and enjoying themselves. Our waiter was male, and he said he had been working there for over 20 years. I wish I would have remembered his name but he was real cool and full of suggestions. They not only have pizzas there but they have burgers calzones, hoagies and etc Of course we ended up going with some pizza and it was delicious. They allow you to split the pizzas so one side can be whatever you want and the other side can be different. We got one side "The Merry Prankster" the other side was "Mighty Meaty" They both were delicious. We will definitely be returning to try some more of their pizzas and maybe a sub or two. I did not check out the bathroom so dont know how clean they were. The inside it self was clean and when some of the guests left there was an employee that would come out to clean the table and the floor. The prices are somewhat reasonable and the portion sizes are good. It is a nice little neighborhood pizza spot and I will be returning. read more

We have not been here in probably 5 years. everything was so good. the magic meatballs had some heat. they were a little pricey but really good. pizza was spot on. crust was delicious as were the toppings. I've been driving past this Mellow on my way from Decatur to Athens since I was a kid, but until now never had the chance to stop by. Well I finally did and was totally enamored. The Snellville Mellow has this cozy, old-style feel that the new Mellows don't have anymore. We were basically the only people in the place (accidentally arrived a bit late) but our server was amazing, and stayed super friendly and helpful the whole night. At the end we accidentally stayed till after closing and she was still super gracious with us. Pizza was great as well, per usual, as were the little parmesan bread bites. My impression was that this is a really well-run Mellow, and if I'm ever in Snellville again I'll be sure to be back. read more

I know people love mellow, and back in my gluten-full days, I could enjoy it. There's better pizza but in towns where the pizza is generally terrible, I understand coming to mellow. Unfortunately, I am now in gluten-free days and the gluten free pizza at mellow is terrible. It really is. The crust is just awful. It's too chewy and has the taste of undercooked dough. Making me an even bigger pain in the rear is the desire to stay dairy free, but mellow has a dairy free cheese option. That's great, but they literally only sprinkled it on my pizza. More than half of the pizza had no cheese on it. Why? Look, I know this is a very specific order that won't apply to 99% of you. I also realize that I am killing a restaurant that is trying to cater to vegans and gluten free and I don't like doing that. I really appreciate the options especially when it comes to pizzerias. I wish I could give a better review, but their gluten free crust needs a massive improvement. read more

I ordered from uber eats. My order was incorrect. I called the store and was told my correct order would be ready in 7-8 minutes. I got in my car and drove to the store to receive the correct pizza. I arrived 10 minutes later. My pizza was not ready until 19 minutes after my phone call, speaking with the "general manger". He never apologized for the inconvenience or for the time and money he cost me. I wasn't offered anything. I spoke with him the next day and he said "I gave you a free pizza". ??????? Good franchised pizza spot in town. There are locations in other towns as well. If you like some of the others, this place is worth a try.

The pizza was very good, and the service was OK, but the ambiance made our visit to this restaurant was awful. We arrived at 5 pm, got our pizza an hour later, and we ended up in the middle of Trivia Night, even though we specifically said that we didn't want to participate. The people in the booth behind us were very loud to begin with, and got louder as the time passed, to the point that we couldn't stand it and asked to be moved. We were told that the only seating available was outside, which wouldn't work for us. When we spoke to the manager, his response was basically not to come on Trivia Night again. This is a wonderful Pizza place in Snellville; right off Hwy 78. I love the typical Mellow Mushroom decor. The bathroom is clean and the servers are friendly and professional. The best part is that there are a few of the servers bringing food and cleaning up tables and you could ask any of them for help, and they work together and willing to assist. That is great management. When you could put a team together and the team work as one unit, you'll always have good experience. The Pizza are great. I used to live in Loganville and would frequent this location often. Since moving, I only get to go thru Snellville about every other month. I had to get my hard working fence builders lunch and decided to enjoy one of my favorite salads while I waited. It was excellent as always! My server was so sweet (Tori) and helpful. Once I ordered a spinach salad, she knew I was expecting one that is no longer on the corporate menu but you can still get it! It was delicious as always and it's been years since I had one. There are other fancier Mellow Mushrooms but I love this one because it's more intimate with a large patio that they are currently expanding and making nicer! Well, after, leaving the Olive Garden in Duluth, Georgia and not getting weighted on we decided to stop at the Mellow Mushroom and get pizza. We were seated very quickly and given our menus. However just like Olive Garden, we sat there and waited. The people walked by us several times, but no one acknowledged us, or even said a word to us. So after about 10 minutes we got up and left. Ultimately, we ate at a chicken place. I would love to leave a review on the food but again I can't because we never got any.. As the test of the restaurant will I come back ? Absolutely not! I've worked too hard all my life and I've gotten to a place now where I don't need to be treated like this. One more thing I noticed, when looking at other reviews of this place . I noticed that the owner was more than happy to respond to any five star reviews. I was visiting a friend that was staying in Snellville so I had a find a good place to eat since I don't stay in that city. After some googling I decided on this place because you can rarely go wrong with pizza. The restaurant is a cute building with enough seating and interesting decoration and even a seating area outside. We sat inside and were quickly helped by the waitress who asked what drinks we wanted and gave us some time to order. We split a small pizza where I got ham and bacon while my friend got Roma tomato's and the mushroom trio. The pizza tasted great. The serving size was perfect, especially since a small is normally for one person and we ended up splitting that and were still satisfied.
