    Mellow mushroom bar
    Katie F.

Stopped at mellow mushroom and Saint Augustine saw Joe passing and we're like we need to eat there for dinner. I got a small pizza with dairy free cheese pepperoni and pineapple and my mom got a small cheese pizza with marinara. I also ordered a sprite and she ordered a Coke zero. I love the ambience of this mellow mushroom- so the inside of this mellow mushroom meets local living with funky art around state of Florida there is a giant triptych on the wall of like alligators dolphins surfers and ocean items there is a giant fossilized alligator on the wall; in the bar area there is like a Mural around the top talking about the Spaniards coming over and the Indians in Florida with a bunch of trippy mushroom drawings. No let's talk about the highlight of our meal our server was attentive, kind, and very nice. Sarah is phenomenal server; she needs a raise. She's amazing and very good. SARAH IS PHENOMENAL 100/100

I only stopped in here for a drink and an appetizer and it was good. There are drink specials and a happy hour. I just had a domestic draft beer served nice and cold. My wife and I split an order of the cheese bread. Enjoyed everything here.

We do love this pizza so we cameback again! They are very busy, Saturday at 7:20 PM, 50 minutes waiting time. I ordered my strawberry lemon limeade, no alcohol but still strong so I mixed with half a glass of water and oh Boy, I am addicted. I love the great white pizza, that didn't come cut all the way through, I hope next time they do. My family decided on created their own pizza, pictures here. They do have live music on Saturdays after 5:00 pm, very nice very nice. We had a great time here today.

If you can't do it right why bother?! Mellomushroom get your kitchen in order!!!

Server, John, was fantastic the kitchen needs to be fixed and the bar tender is non existent!!!! This place will not last

The burgers were way overcooked and super thin. The parking lot is awful not enough spots.

With open lines of communication, they were communicative, ensuring that our needs were met. I was very impressed with how they ensure customer satisfaction. This was my first time here, but I came with friends who had been here several times. The chicken wrap smelled outstanding and looked great. Very robust with chicken! The meatloaf my friend said was phenomenal and interestingly enough they do make it with milk. The Philly cheesesteak looked really great. The chicken pot pie however I will say was definitely not a fan favorite here. I had a different vision of pot pie, which this was not it rather it was the fact on the salty side from me. Not sure what the base was but flavor wise it definitely was not for me. But on a positive note, it was made with white meat chicken. The biscuit on top not a fan favored either. Overall, the five stars goes to the outstanding service we received and the reviews of my friends and their meal. They were very gracious here at the restaurant with taking care of the pot pie since it was not eaten. When I return (and it's a customer service that is bringing me back) I'm gonna try the chicken wrap because it smelled fantastic and looked great

I've included a screenshot from Google Maps to help out with finding them. I went with the Crab Quiche, which was decent. It comes with a side of hash browns which were fantastic. I normally wouldn't go on about hash browns but these were REALLY good! The thing that held the quiche back from being great was that there wasn't a whole lot of crab meat. Lauren had the Breakfast Burrito, added sausage to it and asked for a side of Pico which is something she learned from a previous visit. She's had this burrito before and loves it. She was going on and on about how much she loves it today as well. She actually said "I wish this place was closer to our house because we'd be here way more often" to which I replied "yeah but we have University Diner right by our house, so we're not hurting". Which leads me to a very funny situation: A gentleman showed up at our table like 30 seconds later and said "Hi, I hear you guys go to University Diner? Do you know Andrew? He's my son". We were like "YES! We know Andy!" but the funnier thing was like Lauren had a revelation and said "OH! THAT'S why I love this breakfast burrito so much!" After living in both Texas…read moreand New Mexico (both of which have slightly different Mexican food), you get a "flavor" you desire when you eat Mexican food "anywhere". Some would argue that it all tastes the same, but to me, it doesn't. Honestly, I think all Mexican food tastes better in any Southwest state/area. But here on the East Coast, you have places that are pretty spot on and close. We have tried our fair share of restaurants, and not all "rice and beans" (for lack of a better term) are equal. Anejo Cocina fits the bill of being pretty darn good, a step above, and the flavors are "there". Always start off with embracing the chips and salsa. They offer them to you; take them...enjoy them!. The chips and salsa always set the stage as to what type of meal awaits. I am happy to report the Chips & Salsa are absolutely delicious here. Moreover, if you're feeling froggy, they have a tad spicier habanero salsa to offer upon request. We have eaten our way around the menu, but I must say, my favorite is always the Chili Relleno. It is always cooked to perfection, and they use the correct cheese. Any meat item you order will be enjoyable; the seasoning is perfect! They have a full bar and happy hour. I'd like to mention they offer pitchers of beer here, which seems to be hard to find these past few years. There is a large parking lot shared by other strip mall businesses; however, there is more than ample parking. It is easy to find and to get in and out of. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The service is always top-notch, and the prices and portions are fair. Anejo Cocina always offers a very inviting atmosphere, and the Mexican Décor is pretty cool.

We had a couple of huge Sangrias then started with the Queso Fundido. There was a TON of chorizo in it as you can see from the photo! After that I had the Birria Burrito, which was also enormous. I liked it a lot but didn't even come close to finishing it on account of the huge-ness. Lauren had the Chicken Chimichanga with shredded chicken. She liked it a lot and also had a hard time getting through just over half of it due to there being just so much of it. We've been to a few other locations but this one is our favorite for some reason. This review originally appeared in the Jacksonville Fun, Eats & Drinks Facebook group.

Our mixologist was named Talon; he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He started by asking us what we usually like to drink (spirits and flavor profiles). Once we gave him the information he needed, Talon proceeded to make us some amazing cocktails. I absolutely loved mine and could have drank them all night. I tried some of my friends' drinks and they were all excellent as well. We ordered several appetizers to share (guacamole, wings, empanadas, and mojo chicharrones), everything was very tasty. Talon came back over to ask us what options we'd like for our second round or drinks, so we all went with something different than the first order. Every cocktail he served us was really good and based on our individual tastes and preferences. I wish I lived in the area because I would go to Odd Birds regularly. The night we were there, they had a secret disco going on in the main dining area which sounded like a fun idea. I loved everything from the drinks, food, and interior decor.
