We have ordered here over delivery apps about 3 times. Each time they have messed up the order. Just received our delivery today which had a salad made incorrectly and in the wrong size. Called the restaurant, manager said deal with it through Uber Eats, not their problem. Previous time we had a delivery, they completely forgot one of our pizzas. Stopped at mellow mushroom and Saint Augustine saw Joe passing and we're like we need to eat there for dinner. I got a small pizza with dairy free cheese pepperoni and pineapple and my mom got a small cheese pizza with marinara. I also ordered a sprite and she ordered a Coke zero. I love the ambience of this mellow mushroom- so the inside of this mellow mushroom meets local living with funky art around state of Florida there is a giant triptych on the wall of like alligators dolphins surfers and ocean items there is a giant fossilized alligator on the wall; in the bar area there is like a Mural around the top talking about the Spaniards coming over and the Indians in Florida with a bunch of trippy mushroom drawings. We Love their pizzas and salads! I like that their food is consistent at the different franchise locations but they all have a lil twist on their menus. This location can be a little tough to get to though. They offer some good lunch deals and have trivia on Monday nights. It can get a little loud when it's busy. Worst Mellow Mushroom. Ordered 2 different salads, spinach artichoke dip, wings, smash burger, tots and pizza rolls The dip was cold in the middle had to send back. Wings....they didn't have any. Smash burger.... fair. Asked for mustard brought back as eating the last bite. After others were finished, I hadn't received my food, Had to ask where the pizza rolls were. "Oh you did not get those"? Brought them to us and they were cold. Just looked at me ....I said here touch them. Then he agreed. Inquired about what the issue was and asked to see a manager. We do love this pizza so we cameback again! They are very busy, Saturday at 7:20 PM, 50 minutes waiting time. I ordered my strawberry lemon limeade, no alcohol but still strong so I mixed with half a glass of water and oh Boy, I am addicted. I love the great white pizza, that didn't come cut all the way through, I hope next time they do. My family decided on created their own pizza, pictures here. I just visited the Murabella location in St Augustine and ordered to go for the very first time and I was not impressed with the food portions. I ordered an Elevated Cobb salad and I waited 35 minutes for it which is not an issue for me. But when I received the salad, it was nothing like I expected as I paid close to $20 and it was a very small Portion for the price I paid, similar to a side salad from McDonald's which you pay only $6 for. I ordered a chicken add on I only received one small crumbled piece. The website picture for this item shows several slides of pieces of chicken that I was supposed to receive and I did not. . The staff was very friendly and I did inform them that I would not be visiting again as I can go next door to Zaxbys and receive and amazing high quality and larger portion of a Cobb salad for half the costs with many add one for less cost! The associate did not even offer to refund my order and I just walked out after kindly discussing my unhappiness. So I do not recommend Mellow Mushroom for any salads as they are cheap on their quantity and portion size such as chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato, etc and for $19.90 with tax and approx. $2 tip, I should have received a better salad. I have attached picture of what my salad should have looked like from Mellow Mushrooms Website, and the salad I actually received, and the high cost of this small side salad when it should have been made with better quantity of food and a bigger portion size for the higher costs However, the location is very beautiful inside and the waitresses and bartenders are very nice. Look, I'm a little shocked at this place's rating. My mom offered to have a sleepover with our kids so we went to Yelp and looked for a 5 star place for a date night. It was awful. On the way home we passed Mellow Mushroom and I was starving so we stoops in and the service was AMAZING. Sat down at the bar and Brian IMMEDIATELY looked at me and said "I'll be right with you darling". He talked to us about beer, we had the best pizza ever, he let me order beers and mix them (it's a thing I do), he talked to my husband about whiskey... we just wanted something in our stomach before we got home and instead were like 4 drinks deep and wondering why this place only has 3 stars on Yelp? Look, the location could be better. This intersection is awful. But the service and food is worth it to come here. Thank you Brian for turning our date night around. Rushed to open with very inexperienced staff particularly the kitchen team. Very slow food at peak times and wait staff routinely messes up credit card charges. Been twice due to other people choosing and had the same poor experience both times. Recently went in to check the place out. It just opened and I live right around the corner. This is not a food review as much as a service review. First of all, the place was packed. Parking lot full, SRO at entrance etc. We asked to sit at a high top and were seated right away. There was an abundance of staff (rare these days), and all were quite friendly. Our waitress came over, took drinks, explained the local menu (nice touch), etc, and then I watched her go to 4 more tables - none of which were near each other. Not sure how they divvy up zones, but apparently there are none. Seems like there's a way to make things easier for the staff. No issues with timeliness of order, or frequency of her visiting us- all was great. While sitting at our table, enjoying our food, watching some golf, a party of 18 (not a typo), walked in and wanted to set up an impromptu party. I watched 4 servers, and a manager do what they could to accommodate. They were able to sit down in under 30 minutes. During the process the staff were yelled at by multiple people in the party, wanting to know why it was taking so long. Then, when sat, argued further about the location. You just walked in. 18 of you. No heads up. And they accommodated you. Your behavior? Shocking. You should be ashamed. The staff never lost their cool. As merely a spectator to this debacle I wanted to step in and say a few NSFW words with the apparent ring-leader of the party, but I did not. Instead I thought I'd write this review instead. The food was as you expect for a Mellow Mushroom. The service? Far beyond expectations. Entire team acted like they'd been through the Ritz-Carlton training program (IFYKYK). Hat's off MM crew. I was thoroughly impressed (as was the couple behind me, who assumed party of 18 was all named Karen....or so their comments implied). Can't wait to go back. The service is impeccable. read more

With the new Mellow Mushroom now open, we thought we would give it a try Thursday before the dinner rush, arriving just before 5pm. We were seated promptly and gave our drink order while studying the menu. We opted for five sweet Thai-chili chicken wings and a small Cesar salad to start off. Then we moved onto a small Buffalo Chicken pizza and a small house special. With the limited crowd at the time our food arrived in a timely manner. Everything came out cooked properly & all quite tasty. The service was friendly & professional (I apologize for not remembering the lady's name). Talk about the best experience I've ever had at a mellow mushroom... Sarah claimed it was her first day serving alone . But you wouldn't have even noticed she had recommendations on the menu and told us about all of the specials they had! Sarah was an absolute blast! She comes with accents upon request and even knows sign language!!!!! How cool is that! I would highly suggest asking for Sarah if you choose to dine at this establishment, you will not regret it!!! The staff said they were very busy but we didn't see that, the wait staff just disappeared and didn't return. We had to look for them and when we found them they still didn't care.
