Vinny, I give you 5 stars because for the locals in Nocatee you can be that 5 star, it's almost there. I do not like or want to give a mom and pop (which is so badly needed here) a negative comment, but... every time I go there the service is slow to acknowledge I'm even there. No fault of their own and never thought it was, always felt bad for how over-worked they are and you need more people helping them!! Who you have working there now are amazing but they can't handle everything on their own!! Please hire more help!!!! read more

We had an appointment in Ponte Vedra after work recently so while we were down there we had dinner at a place we've wanted to try for quite while: Vincenzo's Cucina. They're located at 3787 Palm Valley Road in Ponte Vedra Beach. We started with the Arancini. There were two things that surprised us about it. First, it was way lighter than we expected which ended up being a good thing. I almost voted against it as an appetizer because it's usually a heavy app but I was happy with how light their take is. The other thing is that we were both surprised by was peas being included. Then again, its been a long time since we've had this app so that could be more common than we remember. I ordered Chicken Marsala which came with another surprise, in a very good way. Maybe it's just me but I find that a lot of places go way too sweet with the sauce on this dish. There certainly was a sweet taste to theirs but not overly so. More like a hint, which was good by me. The portion size was very big. So much so that I took half home for lunch the following day. The noodles were VERY good too. I'm no expert so I can't say for sure if they make them there but it certainly tasted like they might. My wife ordered a 12" Hot Honey Hustler Pizza. She's had variants of this type of pizza at a few places around town over the past year. She's actually had to kind of piece it together more than anything by ordering hot honey on the side or adding other things on. So she was excited to see they offer it like she wanted it right out of the gate. She said when you look at the photos you'll probably think it's too much on a pizza but it's not. When you eat it, it's actually well balanced. She liked the quality of the crust too. She took about 3/4 of the pie home, so she'll have some great lunch tomorrow as well. Like I said, we rarely get down to Ponte Vedra but we had a reason to be down there tonight so I'm glad we remembered to stop in at Vincenzo's while we were in the area. Great pizza and a beautiful outdoor patio - as this summer season takes off, I was looking for a place with an outdoor patio under protection from the hot Florida Sunshine. Vincenzo's is an ideal location. We enjoyed the How ya doin pizza and great service from Gina. Pricing is reasonable, dinner averaged about $25 per person all in, including tip, tax, drinks and a 3% credit card surcharge. Overall, this is wonderful tasting pizza at a reasonable price in a beautiful setting. We'll certainly be back. read more

Today we decided to make another visit to this somewhat new restaurant and try their pizza. They have both 12 and 18 inch specialty pizzas. There are about ten different options to choose from. We went with the How Ya Doin 18 inch pizza. It came with pepperoni, sausage, onions, green peppers and mushrooms. It was very tasty and the crust was sturdy enough to support all those wonderful toppings. Service was fairly quick. We sat outside on their little patio and it was a nice quiet relaxing experience. read more

Vincenzo's is a new favorite spot of mine!!!! I stumbled across this hidden gem on a Sunday afternoon and felt so welcomed! I was greeted by the owner who was very kind and made sure I was greatly taken care of. I could tell this is definitely a local spot and the food was authentic Italian-- which I'm always looking for ;). I sat at the bar and ordered a ceasar salad and tortellini. My food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were great! My pasta was so flavorful and it was one of the best salads I've had. The overall ambience is casual. They had football on the TVs and more of a bar vibe (but I did go mid afternoon on a Sunday) overall though it felt very communal and everyone was so so kind! It really is the small touches of hospitality and attention to flavor that make a hidden gem like this shine! I'll definitely be back and will absolutely be recommending this spot to friends in the area :) read more

We ordered take out pizza for my son's birthday. We ordered 3 different pepperoni pizzas - because why not - it's his favorite!!! The Grand Sicilian Pepperoni, Regular Pepperoni, Nona Grande Pepperoni. All were delicious and they were all different - in a good way!! Each one was a favorite of someone's so ALL the family was very happy! The greek salad was also very good. Needs help badly. 1. Was seated without menus and we had to get our own from a table behind us. 2. The water here unless it's bottled stay away. Smell and taste horrific 3. Manager (who tried his best) asked us after 20 minutes of sitting at our table, have we been helped as our waiter/waitress never came to our table. 4. Wine is overly priced. Looked up a Chardonnay $8.99 in store $40 sold as a bottle, what a mark up!!! 5. No pepper or salt shaker at the table and I had to go to another table for the ketchup. Positive note, they did give me a bottle water not charging extra. Manager did allow substitute, side salad instead of fries. The Don - cheesesteak was bland and unappealing. I believe the entire roll was 6-7 inches for $18!!!! Ouch no bang for that buck. There was one end of the sandwich but the other side didn't have one. Looked like they made 2 sandwiches out of one roll. Bathroom was atrocious. It was a unisex bathroom that had toilet paper on the ground all over, handle needs to be replaced, lock on door was not highly secure, no paper towels to dry hands. Sorry will not be returning. I ordered a Vincenzo's pick up order via Door Dash. I was looking forward to trying their Fagioli soup, a nice salad and a pasta dish. I received the wrong soup that had old chunks of chicken and broth with cut carrots and a few bits of penne pasta- wrong soup (Turns out they were out of fagioli and substituted this & didn't mention it). I ended up putting it down the drain. I tried the salad next. They left out the salad dressing with my order so I used what I had in my refrigerator, no big deal. Immediately noticed how brown the cucumbers were and they tasted rotten as well. After three bites, I became concerned about the rotted salad ingredients and threw it out. Geez! Lastly, the simple pasta dish was a no-go as well. My stomach was already doing flips from the garbage food that was passed as restaurant food. ALL went in the trash. I called them about the soup and figured it was just a simple mistake. I was told they were out of the soup I ordered and they replaced it with the simple carrots, few chunks of questionable looking chicken(?) and few bits of penne pasta which was not a fair trade in price. Simple mistakes are fine but this was a quality of food issue and causes me concern. read more

Vincenzo's cucina took over Napoli's on Palm Valley Rd and we've decided to try it. We went in about 4:30 pm for an early dinner. The decor did not change much but it looks like the wines have. We decided to have beer . We tried Southern Swells IPA. The menu had homemade gnocchis which my husband is always on the lookout for. Not sure the gnocchi's were actually homemade, although good. I tried the linguini and clams . All very good and very filling. The service was good, Alison was very attentive and handled the register, take out, and sitting customers, asked us how our dinner was, refills, dessert, and water. read more

Started out with a beer from Southern Swell IPA. Nice that my pint glass was chilled. My starter was Pasta Fagoli. This bowl was smaller than expected but the flavor was spot on. The decor was a lot like the former owners. Big screen tv's sports memorabilia and decorated for Christmas. Our server/bartender was Alison she was helpful and attentive to our needs. Quick late night stop for dinner. The bougie meatballs were delicious. Tasty and the sauce was not spicy and made from scratch. The penne Bolognese was an entree not an appetizer like the meatballs. It was abundant for two. Yes we have leftovers:). The meat sauce was tasty but there could have been more bolognese with the pasta. I think this was our last visit to Vincenzo's. I now know why he left NJ as they would never put up with the horrible service they give. Went in for 2 pasta dishes and 1 soup with 2 sodas and the soup came out 42 minutes later. The pastas came another 23 minutes later and felt like we were there for 2 hours. The food was average at best and bill was almost $80 which is a rip off. The table next to us had 6 people and the only think they received for the first hour was 1 cheese pizza and the father was really upset and food finally stated coming out. Its the worse run restaurant I have ever seen. I hope they get better of they are fine. Not going back. Try Andiamo as its a real restaurant. read more

Waste of time. Walked in at 5:00 pm, not real busy, sat at bar for more than 15-20 minutes. No service, water, menu or a " I'll be with you shortly". We observed a bartender/waiter pouring drinks behind the bar. She walked past us numerous times without so much as a hello. A waiter was behind us waiting tables in bar area, not a word even when I made eye contact. When I asked the bar tender if they were short handed she replied, No. She actually went about her business like we didn't exist. Never seen that before. This review is for their catering service. I had them cater a party for 34 and it was great. Vinny showed up on time, he set up the food exactly how I wanted it. He said they'd bring more if we were running out, but we ended up with leftovers, so we had plenty of food. The food itself was delicious, I had several people compliment me on the food and asked where it came from. I love food. Which really helps when you spend a lot of time, you know, reviewing food. I also love to see restaurant owners who care about their food and about their customers. And fortunately, Vincenzo's Cucina is run by some awesome folks who do care. About their restaurant. About their food. And about their customers. Vincenzo himself is a larger than life guy who appears to have never met a stranger. He's talking. He's shaking hands. He's hugging. If he were running for office he'd have my vote! Wanting to make people feel welcome is a huge positive for me, and everyone is very, very welcome at this restaurant. The space hasn't changed much from the former Italian restaurant that used to be in this space. Nice bar, two seating areas. The menu is pretty big. The pizzas looked awesome but we only got subs. I had the Elaine's sub. Thick chicken cutlet with vodka sauce and pesto and mozzarella. It was hot and tasty and the pesto worked well with the cutlet. I also thought the sub roll was great. Fresh and soft and it definitely complemented the chicken and the sauce. The side of fries was very good as well. The pizzas looked like they came in two sizes. Large and humongous! But they all looked good and something we definitely need to try on our return. They were doing a lot of take out as well. Our waitress didn't seem too familiar with the handheld ordering device, but another manager was over quickly to assist. Again, all were friendly and genuinely wanted us to have a great meal. It's easy to get disillusioned about big chains that don't really care about you or the food. Vincenzo's Cucina is a most welcome change from that and I will definitely be back! read more

I have waited until our 4th visit to review this restaurant. This is a new Italian restaurant in Ponte Vedra Beach, owned and run by a Bonafide New Jersey Italian named Vincenzo. Vincenzo has a passion and a lot of heart for quality and service. Like most new establishments, there are operational start up issues with the staff and process that must get worked out. They have improved tremendously since our first visit. The food was excellent. Everything is freshly made. This evening we ordered fried mozzarella appetizer. I was expecting the typical sticks that the restaurants buy and drop in the deep frier. We were pleasantly surprised when the waiter brought out what was clearly homemade fresh fried mozzarella! It was excellent! The red dipping sauce was fabulous. We ordered as main dishes Chicken Piccata, the Italian Stallion Stromboli , and spaghetti and meatballs. All dishes were very, very tasty. The Stromboli in fact was the best I've ever had! Our waiter was very good but was overwhelmed with the crowd (reinforcements finally arrived to help him out) so our service was slow, and the food took awhile coming out. Those around us seemed to be getting served faster. It happens. The environment was comfortable and not too loud to have a normal conversation. So for this review it's a 5 star for the food, and the service on this visit was a 3 to 3.5 stars. They are improving with every visit. We definitely recommend Vincenzo's. We were headed to a restaurant in St Augustine for date night but read about Vincenzo's Cucina on NextDoor and as a YUGE fan of authentic Italian cuisine (that is food for those of you that don't know that word), my wife and I decided to give Vincenzo's a try. We called ahead just in case and got an 8:30 reservation on a Friday evening. Upon arrival, there was one dining table available with all the rest occupied by couples and families. The environment is authentic and welcoming. Our server, Allison, came over immediately to take our drink orders and was very warm and friendly. While waiting for our appetizer (Bougie Balls) I saw the owner Vincenzo making the rounds, talking to patrons and asking if there was anything that he could improve. While waiting for our drinks and appetizer, we reviewed the diverse menu and I suggested we might order a pizza to go for the next day. My wife wisely suggested we wait to see if we would have left overs. Our drinks were delivered quickly and Vincenzo made his way over to speak to us. We asked about the upcoming cooking class at the restaurant and he excitedly explained it to us. From his enthusiasm, it is obvious that he loves what he does and that he is dedicated to making a visit to his restaurant a memorable event. My wife ordered the Chicken Pesto dinner with house salad (blue cheese dressing). I ordered Chicken Alfredo Louie with Caesar Salad. Both salads were incredibly fresh, well proportioned and the dressing were home-made delicious creations. After the first bite of our entrees, my wife and I just looked at each other and nodded with that approving grunt of approval that you make when you don't want to do anything that might disrupt the wave of incredibly tasty goodness. Our dinner was somewhat devoid of conversation as we both focused on the excellent Italian meals before us. The servings were extremely generous and soon I had to push my plate away as I was completely full (and should have stopped several forks sooner). At the end of meal, needless to say, we did not need to order any food for the next day as both of us had over half of our meals left to take home. This will be our new date night destination and we look forward to trying all of the other menu offerings.... likely equally as delicious!!! Excellent dinner! Place is an eclectic mix of sports memorabilia that comes from then amazing story of the owners son's connection with the Jimmy V foundation and an inspiring story of survival vs childhood cancer. The food was excellent! My wife has a gluten allergy. The pizza was terrific. Crust, sauce and ham to die for. I had the vodka penne (gluten free noodles) with shrimp. The vodka sauce was exceptional. I especially appreciate that the chef must have put it into a high heat bake because the top noodles had that "crusted" look and taste that only baking can get. Those noodles that, if you grew up with an Italian mom like me, you risked getting your knuckles cracked with the wood spoon from stealing from the serving dish! read more

I write with a heavy heart. I wanted it to be good. It's nearby and I like a nice pizzeria/trattoria. My wife and I walked out (paid the complete bill and tipped appropriately) without touching more than a third of our meals. For starters, the ambiance missed its mark. The fake brick job is poorly done and the tables without tablecloths or white paper coverings look greasy. Pillows meant for back rests along the wall were ripped (the place is new). And we were greeted upon entering by an upright vacuum cleaner in the hall. Ok. They are new and maybe they haven't worked out the kinks or put pictures up on the blank walls. The food must be fantastic. Sadly, No. The Caesar salad that reviewers raved about was uninspired and garnished with store bought croutons...no anchovies in sight or taste. But the entrees....inedible. My veal piccata looked like it had been slimed by a chef bought off by the caper lobby. Salty and over lemoned, what made it inedible was that poor sauté job on the grey meat. My wife's little neck linguine (not fresh for sure) had the weirdest spice/acid taste. It made me forget how bad the tap water was. I am sorry for the owner and don't want to destroy a man's dream but my loyalty is to the consumer. One and done..... the rest of the story...after my review the owner direct messages me three times: first threatening legal action, then a mixture of plying a guilt trip and bragging about how many meals he served. A month later, he responds to my review in public with lies. Perhaps he should spend more time in the kitchen and less in social media. read more

I've been here several times before and have not had as negative an experience as I had today. Sunday afternoon and the owner is the only one working. He very clearly does not care about the dining experience or the cares of anyone around him . He walks around shouting at the tables of people he knows, reminiscing of his days up North. The only positive thing I can say about this current trip to Vincenzo's was we were seated promptly. We ordered Mozzarella Carozza and Garlic Knots for appetizers. The knots are hosed down in oil and the Mozzarella tasted like it was cooked in old oil. We asked for utensils and napkins, which were never delivered. We had to eat with nothing but our hands, as the owner was still galloping around the dining room reflecting on the North. I reached to a newly cleared out table to grab some napkins, and that angered Vincenzo. "Just take them" he bellowed over and over again. It's at this point a group of 20 elementary students and a large collective of their parents showed up to an already filled dining room. The owner started moving tables around, shouting, and placing them in any crevice he could find. We waited for our entree, hoping that once everyone was seated, it would calm down. It did not. We asked for our food to go, which enraged the owner. "Is something wrong?" He asked. I said no, I just want to take it home. He angrily said go eat in the other room, to which again I asked for it to be wrapped up so we could head out. He insisted on knowing what's wrong, so I told him it was extremely loud and we wanted something quieter. He told me to stop being an asshole and don't come back. I agreed I would not come back, if I wanted Chuck E Cheese I would have gone there, not a place that would charge me $100 for a subpar meal. He continued to rant; he could not wrap his head around why I was not happy about not receiving silverware or having to listen to the children he had running around his establishment. He continued to bellow about how he is trying to make a living and how this is Ponte Vedra Beach. I live here, I know where I am. But where I will not be again is this place. To top it off, when I went to pay for this "meal" he clicked the 15% button on the kiosk, as if he deserved the $14. Do yourself the favor and go somewhere else. If you want pizza, there are plenty better than this. If you want a sports bar, go somewhere else, there are plenty better. If you want a narcissistic, unaware, washed up owner who yearns for his days up north this is your place. I hope this place is on its way out. Ponte Vedra Beach deserves better than the "best" this guy has to offer. read more

The pizza was ready when we arrived and still piping hot when we arrived home. The pizza had no flop and was very tasty. The ingredients were fresh and the quality was superb too. My boyfriend & I made reservations for Valentine's Day, got sat at a 6 top table to then have another couple also sit at our table. We were moved. We waited over 2 hours for our food, never got our calamari starter. Our waiter Allison passed us multiple times saying nothing, it seemed as if it was her first day serving ever. Then we're brought food out another tables food & told our food will be out soon as she's literally telling the kitchen what needs to be made. so, it's a Friday night at 6PM ... we walk into this restaurant for the first time since new owners have reopened ... feels like a bit of chaos as we weren't sure where the line was for seating - but we see a man calling out table headcounts - I hold up two fingers and he says, come with me ... so seated very quickly. and then a lovely young man fills our water glasses and we sit ... and wait ... and wait ... we talked about leaving, but could tell the single waitstaff serving the entire dining room was hustling, so we wait ... 25 minutes later ... she gets to us and apologies about being so short-staffed ... it has been my experience - if short-staffed, do not take on more diners even as empty tables sit ... but, I digress - we put in our order ... husbands house salad with house dressing comes out pretty quickly - he says, it's good. and then we wait ... and we wait ... as do all the tables surrounding us ... I am guessing the owner stopped by many tables as he was called over and he made plenty of apologies and offers to have "food" on him ... one couple had their salad and said, just put entrees in box to take away (side note: they were sitting there when we arrived and still sitting when we left ... 2 hrs later!) ... anyhoo ... after another 25-30 wait post salad, our pasta entrees arrived. Food was very tasty & plates extremely hot ... our bill including a 15% gratuity was $72 ... you be the judge ... 2 hrs from start to finish with no alcohol, 5 ravioli, 3 meatballs, a slice of lasagna and house salad ... hmmm ... not even a bread basket offered as we waited. I know staffing is an issue everywhere - I see it, but gotta manage the expectations of your customers - the server was absolutely hustling - the takeaway orders were coming in and the kitchen was seemingly overwhelmed. And the price point - well ... it is what it is ... Overall, the aesthetic changes from the previous owners looked good. No condiments on the tables, no fresh grated cheese, ground black pepper offered either. My husband got up and went to serving station and got container of parmesan cheese and pepper.
