I visited this mellow mushroom and it was the first visit to the chain itself. My gf and I grabbed a seat and were taken care of immediately (keep in mind this was trivia night, and it was busy). Our server was polite and knowledgeable of the menu; described what each item was being considerate it was our first time. The quality of the pizza was great (whole wheat crust and fresh everything). The menu options seem like bizarre combinations, but I think they pull it off very well. I will have to say mellow has become a number on my list of best pizza places. Yes, the setting is very adult chuckles cheese like, and the servers wear ANYTHING they want (corporate chain without the strict policies), but worth it. read more

The pizza here is so good but I almost walked out because of the wait. I called in the order and they said 30-35 mins on the phone. I arrived 40 mins later and it took another 15 mins. The first time I was here they tried to give someone else my pizza as I ordered take out (it took an hour for a small pizza). This is why I called it in this time but still a long wait. read more

I am originally from McDonough and since moving away I have realized the few quality dining options this area has. My wife and I were struggling to find somewhere that was not dominated by chain restaurants when we remembered the new Mellow. For having multiple locations Mellow Mushroom is great and definitely your best option for finding more than satisfying food and decent selection of local brews. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a few of the Atlanta areas best crafts beers as well and the classic pizza. I am a purist and chose the cheese, tomato and basil. I know its heresy for a place that puts curry on a pizza but I like mine the way God originally intended it to be. I have no hate for more exotic styles and no judgment on those that do but it's not always for me. Either way, everything they make is fresh and tasty. Super slow when you dine in but amazing pizza. Carry out is faster but doesn't taste as good. I think olympia pizza on 138 is better!

This is one of my favorite pizza places. I think I've tried all of the different specialty pizzas they make and they have all been good. Well... Thai Dye was a little weird with the cucumbers, but it nothing that the Esperanza dressing couldn't fix! The patio is nice and the service is usually very good. Only a couple hiccups with slow service, but even without us complaining the manager realized that it was slow and comped our appetizer one night when it was particularly slow. Food was still hot and good though. They must just have been backed up. They have gluten free options available for pizza, which is nice. They also list the gluten free toppings you can get to build your own pizza. Wish they had gluten free options for their burgers or sandwiches too. The waiters are very nice too. They are usually very friendly and very receptive and attentive with food allergies. Sometimes they have a guy who walks around and makes balloon animals for the kids, which is weird, but cool. Nott a huge fan of the live music on Thursdays. Not sure if it's every Thursday, but I have avoided it on Thursdays since we made that mistake once. The one night we did go on a Thursday there was a huge wait for customers to eat outside or to move from their table from inside to outside. Ate at this restaurant for the very last time and I really liked it. On a regular afternoon went there for lunch. Got full on the apps. Took my steak sandwich home. While eating the sandwich for dinner I bit something that was foreign. I saved it so I could show the restaurant. Did not realize I had broke off a piece of my tooth until the pain forced me to the dentist. Long story short and $900 later, I brought the situation and the foreign matter to the attention of the restaurant management after several attempts to get to someone who is actually in a position to help. They do not seem to have a central website. All I asked for was to get reimbursed for the crown I did not need before eating their tainted meat. The district manager tried to deflect responsibility to the meat supplier. Ruby Brake said she would follow up and get it taken care of. I have called her every few weeks and still nothing, not even a letter informing me that they are not going to be able to reimburse me, nothing. I have been nothing but patient and calm with them. I can not support a business who does not take the safety of their guests seriously enough to keep their word and follow up. read more

Mellow Mushroom by far has the worlds greatest Sallad. Order the Greek Salad with Jerk Chicken on the side. It is to die for. THe calazones were amazing as well and the artichioke pizza is very good. A must eat. read more

The parking lot was full and there was a crowd at the door (it is Saturday night), but the hostess took us right to a booth since we were only two. Door crowd was large parties and there was not as much seating for them. The House Calzone was chock full of mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, & mozzarella cheese (very tasty), & the top & bottom crust was thin & crispy. It seemed to be whole wheat which was very good with a nice flavor, however where it was folded over was very thick & did not cook long enough so that area was rather doughy and I had to leave about a third of the calzone on my plate. Good atmosphere. Close to home. I usually go with my family during the day and the day staff is very nice. It is a family place so expect crying babies and screaming toddlers. I like their patio during the summer. Good pizza. They usually have a big bar selection. They also have specials every now and then. Their Greek salad is wonderful. I love their own specialty dressing for the salad too. I get the meat lovers pizza or a calzone. Never been disappointed. Always a friendly waitress with a smile. Wife I and visited this location for the first time on May 3rd and it was great. Our server, (Yaay Amber!) was very attentive and had a great demeanor. Our order came out wrong and the manager immediately came out, apologized for the mix up, gave us a fresh small pie to replace it and gave us the misorder for free! I am traveling to Florida and visited. I have been to mellow several times in Ohio but knew it was original to Georgia. I got to say the food was ok but the service was pretty bad...(as observed by an out of state 20 year front of the house vet). Omg!! Had a Fantastic Surprise Party for my 13 year old and Michael our waiter was AMAZING!!! He was so attentive and thought of everything before I could... he took the stress out and allowed me to have fun!!! The food was great! The open mike (Grammy Award Like) singer was phenomenal!! Beautiful and talented. But Michael was amazing, he was able to handle my group and my guest tables without missing a beat! So thankful to him and the entire staff of Mellow Mushroom. My daughter and a friend went there tonight, placed an order for vegan pizza and modified some of the toppings. They waited a very long time and it came out with incorrect toppings. On August 14th my husband took our family to dine in for my birthday. My mother-in-law also pasted on this day. And this is why my review was late. Unfortunately, I don't remember our server, but he did an oustanding job. The patio was nice and clean. We chose to dine inside due to the heat. We got inside and I was very impressed. They were jammin 80's music(my era). It immediately lifted my spirits. The was friendly and laid back too. I love the design of the whole place. Neat, clean and friendly service. Their pizza OMG the BOMB! We also had a salad which was so darn good. We tried the artichoke dip and yessssss it was delicious. My husband advised the staff that it was my birthday without me knowing. So at the end of our meal I was surprised with an ice cream sundae and they sang happy birthday to me. I was so elated by that surprise. Considering the unfortunate family tragedy, my family was still willing to celebrate my birthday and I couldn't have been more pleased to have celebrated at the Mellow Mushroom. Job well done AGAIN. I loved Mellow Mushroom growing up and was excited to see one come to boring town-USA on the south side but the service is sub-par and the decent pizza is quickly knocked down by the expensive price tag. I'm feelin' my fellow Yelpers on this one. I first experienced Mellow Mushroom on Peachtree in Buckhead. It was a quick stop, but seemed like the atmosphere was welcoming and the food was great. Then i visited Midtown and had a slammin' hawaiian bbq chicken pizza. I was hoping to get the same result on Eagles Landing, but no such luck. The food was mediocre and the service was too. Maybe Stockbridge isn't ready for a Mellow Mushroom just yet. read more
