The container of beer cheese they give has gotten smaller, but it's still enough. There were a good 18-20 bites. They're a wheat pizza dough, not really pretzels, but their beer cheese is 10 stars. She was extremely territorial over HER Full Patio Party, "My Party"... like we cared. Who says that?! But our server more than made up for her- he was super nice, genuine & accommodating!! We ordered a large order for my child's birthday party Saturday March 7th from the Mellow Mushroom in Suwanee Town Center, and they were fantastic. Everything was ready exactly on time, the order was organized perfectly, and the pizzas were fresh and delicious. Ordering for a big group can be stressful (especially needing the pizzas 1 hour after they opened on Saturday) but they made it seamless. Unbelievable experience. My sister and I went to Mellow Mushroom to pick up our order -- two calzones, wings, a salad, and two cookies. We decided to pay together and clearly placed both cookies on the counter, asking for them to be added. The cashier only charged for one. When we returned to pick up our food, several employees gathered at the counter, and the cashier announced that we had "walked out with two cookies but were only charged for one." Instead of politely clarifying the mistake, she accused us of stealing -- over a cookie -- after we had just spent nearly $40. We were embarrassed, disrespected, and made to feel small for something that could have been handled with basic courtesy. We're two Black women who came in for dinner and left feeling profiled and humiliated. Think twice before supporting a place that chooses to publicly accuse paying customers instead of treating them with respect and understanding. read more

Mellow Mushroom #3 on my journey to rate every Mellow in metro Atlanta. Suwanee Mellow is a good one. I knew I was in for a treat when I parked in the shadow of a giant slab of the Berlin Wall, just 20 feet away from Mellow Mushroom's front door. So far Suwanee is the only Mellow that offers Soviet-era artifacts on the side. Our server was incredibly pleasant as well, and the lava lamp chandelier has become the new standard in Mellow decor-- my home Mellow in Decatur offers no such lighting contraption. Pizza tasted typical of Mellow, and the pretzel bites came with both the beer cheese sauce and marinara, a little spice of generosity not offered by all franchises. Mellow Mushroom Suwanee was remarkably put together. Well, compared to other Mellow Mushrooms that is. Our server was kind and prompt, and despite the fact that our family practically closed down the place (totally not our intention) everyone was really sweet and friendly towards us. The pizza was perfect and didn't take forever to come out (another + considering Mellow's normal wait time) and the appetizer of pretzel bites was delicious as well. A big shout out goes to the decor of the place, which went way beyond the call of duty. Generally Mellow Mushroom prides itself on a a a neon meets futurism meets stoner meets... mushroom (?) type aesthetic, but Suwanee really out did themselves with this one. The two girls working at the front didn't seem very welcoming -- they appeared uninterested and gave off a negative attitude. When I asked a question, the response felt dismissive, as if they didn't really want to help. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere right from the start. I usually enjoy Mellow Mushroom. First off, I like mellow mushroom and recommended this for my family that has rarely been otherwise. The services was slow, the dishes when they came to our table were dirty, and the food was mid at best. The cheese that came with the pretzel bites was grainy, the meatballs were tough and had an unfortunate taste. The pizza was good as usual but the family's takeaway was that they would not want to come back. Two young kids that are hard not to please and they do not want to come back. I think a serious review of quality control is needed. read more

Don't waste your time trying to find another pizza restaurant because this is hands down the best in GA! I usually had pizza crusts unless it's pan -pizza from Domino's. This place crust is soooooo soft. We ordered the buffalo and it was very delicious. I didn't try the cheese but im sure it's good. We ordered take out so we had to warm up the pizza. My first time at any Mellow Mushroom and it was great! We went at lunch on a Wednesday and were seated immediately. There were a handful of customers in the restaurant but not crazy busy. The guy who seated us was Ashon (at least that was the name on the receipt. He did introduce himself but I have a horrible memory. Haha) and he ended up being our server too. He was fantastic with his attitude and helpfulness. Never being there before, I was excited to see they had a bar. Ashon gave me a suggestion on a drink (I didn't get an itemized receipt, so I don't remember the name...something like a strawberry slide? It had vodka and fresh strawberries on it) and he was spot on. It was delicious! We ordered cheese bread to start...so good. Loads of cheese and it was toasty. Served with a healthy container of marinara on the side. For meals I ordered a Mighty Meaty pizza (I was able to substitute the bacon and ground beef for onions and black olives). My daughter got a Pacific Rim pizza with a small Cesar salad and her friend built her own pizza, also with a small Cesar salad. I tried the salad and it was a great Cesar. My daughter always needs extra dressing, which was totally no problem. The croutons on the salad were huge and tasty! My pizza was SO good. It totally exceeded my expectations. We all got the thin crust, which was the perfect crust. I don't know what they make their crust with but it's addicting! There's almost a hint of sweetness in it, but not obnoxiously so. I often leave the crusts when I have pizza, but not these crusts! I had ordered a medium size so I could take some home to someone. I'm glad I did because I ended up eating more slices than I planned. (I also had more that evening...I can confirm it tastes just as good, cold, a few hours later!!). Throughout the time there, Ashon came back and checked on us and refilled the sodas at the table...and at the end, he offered a to go cup to the girls so they could take soda back to work. The restaurant is very cool looking...so many fun things to look at including a lava lamp chandelier and a hilarious sign to the bathroom. I was really disappointed. Service was unbelievably slow. It look over 15 minutes just for our server to ask our drink order. Then it took over an hour (since being seated) to receive our food. But When I come to a pizza place on a Friday night at 8:50pm and I'm told that they are no longer open for in restaurant dining amd that I could get a pizza to go. It's total BS. Who closes on a Friday night at 9pm. Their website, says 10,pm , Yelp has 10pm. The only place with the hours closing at 9pm. Was a sign on the door. Holy Shitake!! I love this pie! It's so tasty and has a crunchy buttery-cheesy crust thing going on....need I say more?? Seriously all the pies are yummy, my hubby had the " house special" because he likes a lot of meat on his pizza. The decor is fun and funky, lots of things for kids to look at. There's a huge park/open field area in front so if you want to get your pie to go there is picnic tables outside on a nice day. There's even a pizza box garbage can out there so a lot of people must do it. You won't regret a visit here! read more

Surprisingly, my second time here and I forgot to post a review from my last visit. If you're wondering, Mellow is always a top choice to go for great, consistent pizza and local craft beers on tap for me. This location is in a hot spot in Suwanee Town Center. Outdoor seating is available and booths/tables inside. The bar area is small but cozy. We grabbed two spots at the bar to avoid the wait. Will say, the service was ok but bar area could've used some cleaning. We opted for the Great White pizza, mainly bc my girlfriend wanted it. I always stick to their cheese or pineapple/jalapeño. It was good ... not something I would've gotten on my own but still good. I opted not to drink this particular time but my gf let the bartender recommend a beer and it was a great reco! Kopparberg Strawberry-Lime Cider. Wow! I was happy with the visit just from that standpoint. Overall, a great mellow to hit, although a little smaller inside than most. Still love the uniqueness of them all. Get a lil Greek salad if you do pop in, those are very filling and not "lil" at all. read more

Love the Shroom bc I'm a hippie at heart so love the decor all the colors and posters and t-shirts bring a lot of memories back ! Our server Kenia was wonderful checked on us just enough...brought banana peppers free of charge bc I forgot to add them to my avocado half hoagie on wheat with extra cheese add mushrooms which was DELICIOUS and so full of veggies that I had to eat it with a knife and fork! My friend got the full steak n cheese hoagie on white and he too had to eat with a knife and fork bc his was packed too! We didn't get any pics bc we were starving and dug in immediately . We decided to stop by this passed Sunday in Suwannee, We ordered a thin crust meatza pizza and it was all of that and a bag of chips. The sauce and the crust was great. I have gone in and picked up and order a couple of times and it seems that some of the staff don't care or want to be there while others are trying to make up for that. Ordered pretzel bites, the first batch was raw inside and the cheese was dark and congealed. Im not sure what kind of bread they use here but it looked like wheat and tasted funky. The waiter forgot my daughters meal, and seemed clueless to any question we asked. The pizza was inedible and the pretzel bites sat like rocks in my stomach for hours. Service was as bad as the food and the staff hovered together chit chatting within arms length yet managed to efficiently ignore us completely. Total fail. read more
