In the current market, it is standard for reputable shops and major brands like General Motors to offer at least a 24-month/unlimited-mile warranty on parts and labor. This dealership's 12-month limit is significantly below industry standards and shows a complete lack of confidence in their own technicians' work. If you value your time and want a repair that actually lasts, take your vehicle anywhere else. Always confirm the parts and labor warranty terms before you hand over your keys.
