The problem is that they wanted to rob me on the price of Freon - they wanted $1950 for 13# of Freon that I just bought a 25# drum for $326. I told them that I would provide the Freon. They refused to do the job. This is really bad business for both them and the Trane Company. i am a retired HVAC and Refrigeration engineer and technician and even asked for them to get the compressor from Trane and I would install it myself. They refused that as well. They are set and determined to rob senior citizens with excessive markups on Freon.

Loganville HVAC had the best prices and were super friendly on the phone. Other companies wanted to charge over double just to come out and see if there was an issue and over double for freon per pound. In addition to having low prices, Loganville HVAC doesn't charge any of that visit fee if they determine there needs to be work done, where as some companies charge half that fee in addition to an hourly labor charge. Loganville HVAC's hourly rate is super reasonable. We were told that they would come within a two hour window and they were here an hour into that window. Our service tech was friendly and efficient. He was done within an hour. Payment is done by cash or check. We'll definitely call Loganville HVAC next time and recommend them to anyone. Whether or not you choose Loganville HVAC, our best advice is to call multiple companies and get quotes for visit fees, labor and any possible additional charges (e.g. freon).

They also tell that you to install other products to get the unit to work correctly. They will not disclose all that needed to do the job currently. They will wait until there is a problem. They will cleverly tell you, you need more things done in order for the BRAND NEW unit to work. For example, they gave me an estimate to install a new unit. They couldn't get the unit to work correctly. They then came back and said I need to spend 1500.00 more to get the unit to work. Please note this was not disclosed when they came to my home for the estimate. The old unit didn't have the product in question to work so why would the NEW unit it????? It was only disclosed after they couldn't get the unit to work. They charged me 199.00 dollars to clean the ducts but never cleaned the ducts. If you get upset and tell them what you really think of their work. They tell you are being disrespecful. What was disrepect is them having their employee stand up in my chair with his dirty shoes on to get into the attic. I guess they don't have ladders. A transactional relationship…read more I own 2 businesses in ATL and chose Moncrief based on what I perceived their reputation to be in ATL for a simple AC drain line & pan clear and clean at one of my locations (2 yr old unit) and to get a maintenance agreement going for each location. Appt was easy to schedule and I was informed a $199 fee would be due for the trip. Having lived on this earth 50 years, my experience has been trip fees are applied to work performed- NOT SO WITH MONCRIEF. First tech arrived with the wrong size ladder and couldn't service our location and immediately left- no problem, mistakes happen. The lack of same day follow-up from scheduling was a surprise. A text appeared next day that someone was on their way. Tech quoted $363 to clear the line and clean pan and informed the $199 fee was on top of that. I asked abt the maintenance agreement and he informed he would quote but they were absolutely inflexible to view these agreements or transactions together. Why would I reward the business charging me $563 for a drain line clear and pan clean with 2 annual contracts? Spoke to someone else but needed to transfer me to another "department". I led service and sales in a Fortune 500 and was never this inflexible with valued clients. I asked that my recorded call be shared across the org with feedback on their practices, I didn't need to route their org.

When I told him the house temperature was 7 degrees off from the thermostat, he did not acknowledge this. Checked the unit again, and found a defective part of less than a year old. Thankfully they agreed to replace that under warranty. After 3 weeks, a former Total Comfort technician showed up and replaced the defective thermostat, with what seems to be a decent one. If you use these people make sure to ask for one of the good old boys from TC. I give 5 stars for him, but zero for the ACS person although he was a very nice boy.

When we needed to install a new unit, Comfort Solutions was definitely priced competitively and awesome in getting everything up and running. We've had a few manufacturing issues, and Comfort has responded exceptionally well to ensure that our unit was kept up and running. This locally owned company does it right...they stand behind you and their products and services, no matter what. Strongly recommend them for servicing, new units or annual maintenance contracts. They are definitely the way to go.
