Iced Frothy Coffee (coconut milk & SF caramel)

We were heading back home after a night in town and wanted to stop for breakfast on the way home. We were dressed to somewhere else down the street then I saw the Tiki Cafe sign and checked out the Yelp. We made a quick u-turn after passing and stopped in. Unfortunately there was a quite a wait as it's a small place and tables are limited but we figured we'd get a coffee and be patient. Good choice that was. The friendly cashier suggested that we check out the surf shop next door while we waited to pass the time. She said it was locally owned which we thought was good. My husband got a few things in there then got the call our table was ready. We headed back over and were seated in one of the booths. Our food came out pretty quickly after we sat down and ordered, which was nice because we were pretty hungry. We both loved everything, and my husband couldn't stop raving out how much he liked his breakfast sandwich. After eating, I headed back over to the surf shop because my eyes were burning from the smoke in the restaurant, I'm not sure if something burned in the back or if they just need better vents but it didn't deter from how delicious the food was. Overall, we will definitely be back on our next weekend trip!

And empty plate because it was so good.

It was all so good! Try the rum cake! So buttery, not too boozy. The brekky bowl and the curry was wonderful.

Pros: Ambiance was so cool. Outside was a dingy little strip mall, inside was a legit tiki bar with giant ocean murals all over the place. Very chill. Service was very nice. I think some of them were related to each other, so it was a friendly, family vibe. Food was very good! There were a lot of good items to choose from, and we had a couple of their awesome sounding sandwiches. Very quality stuff. Cons: No cons. A very good experience. Tips: If you like monte cristos, get the waffle cristo. Wow it was good. The ciabatta they use on their sandwiches is hearty, but not too tough. Don't be afraid of it. They have a habanero honey. Also don't be afraid of it. It's not too hot. It's delicious.

This place made it pretty high on a nationwide restaurant list recently, so when it was an option for breakfast on the morning of the start of my vacation driving down to Key West, it was a no brainer, we had to come try it out. And thank goodness we did. Talk about a diamond in the rough. The place is in a boring looking strip mall, but step inside and you're transported to an island tiki bar. It's very cool in there. Surfer murals, ocean life on the TVs, and the giant tiki bar that holds the open kitchen. Very nice vibes. The service was also full of very nice vibes. Very friendly people who were quick to point me in the right direction on the menu. Coffee refills kept coming very timely. No issues. As for the food, wow, very unexpectedly good. I had the The Waffle Cristo (ham and provolone cheese in a waffle sandwich with habanero maple syrup, dusted in powdered sugar, served with roasted potatoes). So good. Waffles made a great sandwich bread. The ooey gooey cheese, the slightly salty ham, and spice from the habanero syrup, this just all came together into an amazing little dish. I also got to sample Mr. Billy's Sandwich (scrambled eggs, tiki bacon, roasted fresh pineapple, pepper jack cheese, on a Hawaiian ciabatta roll). Unfortunately, an even better sandwich. The ciabatta was sturdy, but not dry or tough. And the tiki bacon... One of the best things I've ever eaten. Candied, or spiced, or both, thick cut, it was easily the star of the show during my visit here. You just get the tiki bacon when you come here. Overall, I'm glad I identified this place. I was very happy with my experience here, and if I'm ever anywhere near this area again, I will be coming back.

This place has a cool theme and the inside is unique. That being said it's very small and has limited seating, so more than likely you will be waiting. While we were eating, many people walked in, looked around and walked right back out the door. Because it's so small and there's not a lot of airflow, the smoke from the kitchen is like stagnant inside. The waffles, potatoes and bacon were good, have to go and try something else another time. The coffee tasted burned and therefore we did not finish it.

Stumbled across this hole in the wall and so glad I did! It's a cute, small, cozy restaurant and the waitresses were very nice and gave good recommendations. The frothy coffee was TO DIE FOR. It was so good, I went back the next day for more!

This sweet cafe has been on my check it out sometime list and I regret not coming here sooner! This beachside gem is a woman owned healthy spot with booths and a tiki structure to greet the customers adjacent to the kitchen. Definitely family friendly but we met a friend for lunch after deciding we all wanted whole, freshly made items. Due to several dietary restrictions I was very happy to find items I knew I wouldn't regret later. The owner was present working alongside the staff who kept everything going smoothly. Everyone loved their food and the prices were very reasonable. Highly, highly recommend this well run restaurant that is open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Just check the times open as they do close for a couple of hours to transition from lunch to dinner for example.

Nice little place perfect for breakfast. It has a couple high top table and some booths. It is a smaller place so don't expect large tables to fit a big group. Breakfast came out quick and delicious. The server was friendly and efficient. My husband got the vegan curry it was a bit pricey for what you get but it had good flavor. I got the 2 eggs your way. The egg whites scrambled were fluffy and perfectly cooked. I also got crispy bacon which came out perfect and potatoes with a crossiant toasted. It all went together well. I was very pleased with our dishes. I was a bit bummed the banana bread wasn't ready cause that is what I really wanted. Also no smoothies were available at this time either.

We found this place place while being on the go and I'm glad we did. It definitely seems like a place where locals go. Our server Bridgette took care of us and was very fast pace. There is limited seating so it's possible you'll be waiting but won't be for long. It was a very tropical beach ambiance inside and even the music matched it. The food was tasty, my favorite thing were definitely the potato's. I would come again

Wow!! This place is soooo good. I had an amazing coffee and breakfast sandwich. My server was wonderful and made the experience all the better. Can't wait to be back!

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more For me, Historic Downtown Melbourne has become one of my most-visited hubs for socialization, especially in south Brevard County. Thanks to the brilliant people at DTMB or Melbourne Main Street, the area has been improving. I definitely like the new businesses coming in, taking a slice of history in their own sake. Once such place is Villon Coffee. Originally, a "food truck" as the are more of a coffee truck, Villon Coffee (which I will shorthand simply to Villon for the remainder of the review) has expanded to the point they now have two brick-and-mortal locations. The one I like to frequent is, of course, Historic Downtown Melbourne. Now to be fair, they are an a-okay coffee shop, but mostly because of how management runs it more so than the vibe and staff. The vibe and staff: excellent! Definitely have a lot of good things to say about Ally. However, how management (whom I never seen onsite whatsoever) runs the location, is no bueno! Though an address is given, Villon is located on the southside of New Haven Ave. that runs though Historic Downtown Melbourne. If it helps, they are more on the eastside of the town stretch just west of the train tracks. Villon is a smallish location consisting of a main serving room and a "waiting" room that showcases their wares for sale. The waiting room also has an island table and couch, which works well as board games (though most of them are incomplete) are available for guests. The pinball machine, Godzilla, requires 50 cents to play. The main serving floor has bar seating along the storefront window, serving counter, and the side window. As for decor, a lot of yellow, black, and greys in modern art triangles and flowers that highlight their color scheme. Also, the restroom is gender neutral, which is fine as it is a single-person restroom. Usually clean and stocked, but not the best looking restroom. Ever seen a grungy warehouse look in a restroom but was still clean? That's what Villon here has. This is where things are critical. For some reason, management usually has only one person on staff. Now to be fair, most of the day only needs one person, but during rushes, you'll end up waiting. This is not a food truck which is understandable why there is a wait, but an actual brick-and-mortar restaurant. And given its small size and menu, you'd think they would be able to keep rotation on goods up to par. There have been times I came in in which Ally has said they don't have something or another. This goes for their food which I am unsure is either premade or storebought. Needless to say, they don't have the space to cook anything from scratch, so everything is "heat and ready to serve." There is a couple of coolers with bagels, and oatmeal bites ready to eat, though. But the food that really stands out is the wares made by Chef & Summers. They are delicious, but sometimes, they can be sold out. Villon is also quite innovative in their drinks, more so than any other coffee shop I can think of locally. Ergo, they get the hit-or-miss judgment a tad bit more, but because they are being bold more so than being either good or bad. Overall, Villon, as mentioned earlier, is an a-okay place. The staff does the best they can with what they have and what they are given. But I guarantee you they'd be better with more management support. Since I have visited this place numerous times prior to my initial review, I can definitely give Villon a solid three out of five stars with the aforementioned points above. If management helps improve this location, then maybe, just maybe, I will give them a fair shake and update my review. Until then, good place to stop by if you are in the area and you just need a stop to go to, but definitely better coffee shop options out there. My suggestion: The Sun Shoppe at the west end of Historic Downtown Melbourne or Apocalpyse Coffee Roasters heading north on Babcock St. right at the intersection with US-1.

Pricing is reasonable and they have these muffins that was pretty much the same price as my drink but they are big enough to share. Service was quick and the staff friendly. Since you didn't get your Starbucks bear cup protest by going here instead: you won't be disappointed! J/k Oh, I forgot to mention my friend grabbed this cute shirt for me because I packed all long sleeves for my trip and it was hot. Unfortunately,…read morewhile the service was kind, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, the food was one of the most disappointing meals I've had in a very long time. We tried several different things across the menu, and unfortunately none of them landed. The chicken tacos were incredibly bland and lacked seasoning or flavor. The sushi was especially disappointing and felt more comparable to something I could pick up prepackaged at a grocery store than what I would expect when dining out. The salmon with fingerling potatoes was easily the best-looking dish, but unfortunately the flavor didn't match the presentation. Both the fish and accompanying vegetables were dry and underseasoned. The biggest disappointment was the ramen. Before ordering, I specifically asked whether it came with a soft, gooey egg and was told yes, so I ordered an extra. Instead, both eggs arrived completely hard-boiled and unseasoned. The steak was overcooked, and the broth had an overwhelmingly strong balsamic-like flavor rather than the rich, savory flavor I expected based on the menu description. We also browsed the marketplace, which was very sparsely stocked during our visit, and the items that were available seemed considerably overpriced. I can only speak to what it looked like on the day we were there. I do want to give credit where it's due: everyone who took care of us was friendly and welcoming, and we visited during happy hour, which made some of the pricing a little easier to swallow. Unfortunately, even at happy-hour prices, the quality of the food simply wasn't there for us. I hate leaving reviews like this, especially when the people were so nice, but after trying multiple dishes and being disappointed across the board, I can't justify more than one star. Sadly, this is not somewhere I would return.

Plenty of seating and the area near the counter seems to be a bit cooler. An extensive menu with plenty of choices. I settled on the T Street wrap which was chicken salad in a spinach tortilla with carrots spinach and avocado. Flavor was pretty good and plenty of crunch from the carrots. The chicken salad was a tad dry for me so next time I will ask for extra mayo to add in. It came with tortilla chips (from a bag I would imagine and they tasted like it) and some of their homemade beet hummus. A hard pass next time. Not my thing apparently. Also it says it comes with tomato. Missing on my wrap. Just noticed reviewing the menu. That may have helped with the dryness. They had a cooler that had drinks in it, but the bottle of tea I grabbed was warm. They also have a thing of water you can help yourself to. But it could have used some ice. It was room temp.
