I've always had great food at Melt locations! This location in Hoover is very inviting and relaxing. They have some of the friendliest staff and delicious food of course! I ordered the Mac Melt with fries as my side. Everything was perfect about it! The worker asked me if I wanted any sauces, and I didn't think I needed any. When he listed them off to me and said jalapeno ranch, I gave it a try. It was amazing! Definitely add some sauces to your fries if you can! They are a game changer!

Such a cute restaurant. Everyone was so friendly. I ended up ordering the patty melt. The bread was so delicious but the flavor was slightly lacking. The cucumber salad was delicious. I also got the burger kids meal which my son loved! The way they set it up was adorable. I loved that they had outdoor seating and a little bean bag game set up so that the kids could be entertained. I would definitely come back.

What a great lunch! They have indoor and outdoor seating. The honey baked goat cheese is amazing! The strawberries and pecans add to the flavor. The sandwiches are delicious. The Buffalo chicken and patty melt are so delicious and the ham, turkey and cheese melts are made to perfection. The Mac and cheese was good and the fries were crispy. We all enjoyed our food and the experience.

This a real nice place to sit and relax while having a good sandwich. I came in to see what the hype was about. I was greeted when I came in pretty fast and she was very friendly. They have a little something for everyone on the menu. I had the ragin cajun chicken sandwich. The chicken could have used a little more spice but it was juicy. The sandwich needed something else because it was a little dry. The slaw needs a little work also but overall, it was an ok sandwich. The fries were right out of a bag. Nothing special but they were hot. I might try it again but it's not on my radar.

Hands down the best & most flavorful sandwich I've ever had. Chicken pesto with mozzarella and tomato on sour dough with a side of mac-n-cheese, which was excellent too. A little pricey for sandwiches, but it was worth it. It's in a neat little area as well with many other restaurants. Employees were very friendly. There were games for kids to play and several TVs.

What makes a better summer lunch than Melt's Flyin' Hawaiian sandwich with French Fries? Add in honey mustard and Diet Coke and I'm a very happy girl! If you haven't been to Melt before, you should consider giving it a try. We've eaten here a few times for lunch and have enjoyed it every time. The food is tasty, the service is good, and the atmosphere is laid back and very casual. They also have a small patio with outdoor seating, so I will probably bring the dog the next time we come here. The Honey Baked Goat Cheese appetizer is AWESOME! Be sure to order it, even if you're not a huge fan of brie. It is truly exceptional. My husband and I have different approaches to eating. He always gets the same thing--the burger. But he says it's really good and why get anything else? (As a FYI...the burger comes on Texas Toast, which he says is a positive). Me? I like to try something different on each visit: the Ole Smokey sandwich and the Chicken Pesto sandwich are both tasty, but I especially enjoyed the Flyin' Hawaiian sandwich (pictured). However, we both agree that Melt makes EXCELLENT French Fries. They are a steak-cut and cooked to be crispy outside and soft inside. Not too browned, either--they are golden both on the plate and on your palate! The only downside is that the parking can be a little tricky. We have had the most success finding a spot behind the restaurant

4.5. What a great find! When we were not able to go to our first choice restaurant (that one was was overcrowded graduation night) we found this gem of a joint. Great service! Incredibly friendly greeting when we arrived. Courtesy exhibited by all the staff and servers a nice selection of "not your run-of-the-mill" sandwiches. And, probably some of the best hit crispy outside, tender inside fries we have had in a long long time. Could even be number one on our list.

I love when a restaurant has simple offerings and does them well. This is a casual, unassuming chain. Went here with a colleague for lunch. In a nice shopping area with free parking. We started with the fried pickles. My first time having them sliced longways and thin. I really enjoyed them..came with a ranch drizzle on top. The cheeseburger came on texas toast with a side of chips. YES I ate all of it. Lol. Very reasonably priced. Worth a stop if you're in the mood for a simple burger.

Went this Sunday right after noon, we walked in right before the big rush. Food was served very quick, even though it's counter service, they bring your food to the table and our food runner thanked us for dining with them..it's the little things. Food was delicious! Husband is particular about his reubens, usually he tries them and says they are "ok" he couldn't stop raving about this one, I secretly think he wished he had another! Usually a great experience, but this one, not so much. The rajun cajun chicken sandwich had the pesto chicken on it. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, I was told the Cajun spices have been changed due to complaints they were too spicy. I advised the staff that this chicken was not Cajun at all, and was the wrong chicken for this sandwich. no one bothered to even look at my sandwich. Apparently they did not believe me as no one followed up with me. I did not finish my sandwich, and and left with no other customer service offered. Just very disappointed. read more

Outstanding ! Family was in town for baseball tournaments. 9 year old loved his grilled cheese and older kids enjoyed their sandwiches and really loved th fries. Wife and I enjoyed our sandwiches and fries but our appetizer was the highlight! Goatcheese and bread was EXCELLENT ! read more

I had the patty melt and she had the Buffalo chicken salad. The patty melt was great, very cheesy and I chose beer-battered fries as the side. The Buffalo chicken salad was huge, came with dressing on the side. Very good. We ate inside as it was raining but there is patio seating available. read more

Maybe it was a case of unmet expectations? Compounded by employee shortages? Whatever the case, this did NOT work out for us. It took about ten minutes to order three burgers because the person taking our order didn't know how to operate the system. We got three burger plates on "gluten free" buns... which aren't buns, they're gf bread. When the food came, we had an extra side of fries, which we didn't want but assumed we paid for since they didn't read the order back and you don't get an itemized receipt- and our bill was $42 for three burgers with water. On that note, you also have to pay for a cheeseburger, hold the cheese. The fries were amazing. The hamburger patties were burned and only tasted like char. The gluten free bread was weak, and the burger toppings were wrong. But maybe it's just the economy? ‍ read more

I have been to the Melt in downtown Birmingham and loved it, so when I heard a new one was being built right down the road I was so excited. My friend and I went for dinner one night and it was just as great as I hoped. The chicken pesto is to die for. The only downside is they do not have healthy options for sides such as fruit. The atmosphere was inviting and charismatic. I definitley can't wait to go back! read more

Love love Melt!! So happy it is in our area now.most sandwiches here are really good and the Mac and Cheese egg rolls and the fried Oreos are the best EVER! Highly recommend. Melt is sensitive to COVID and everyone wears and mask and the tables are distanced. If you haven't had Melt, you need to try it! read more

First time there. My son and I got the Mac & cheese egg rolls, baked goat cheese dip and he got the Mac & cheese melt and I got the chicken pesto melt. Mac & cheese egg rolls the sauce was the best thing on the plate. In my opinion the Mac & cheese had no flavor; couldn't even taste cheese. The goat cheese wasn't bad but it was so sweet the tang from the cheese was gone. My son enjoyed his Mac & cheese melt. The fries were just ok. The chicken pesto had no flavor. The staff was very nice and helpful and it was very clean. I was however a very turned off when I saw a guest drinking out of their cup with no straw and then go for a refill. The staff told me there was not a soda gun behind the counter to get a refill so I went without. Covid is still out there people. Take my opinions as you will. There were a lot of young children so maybe that's why the hold back on seasonings ‍. We may go back just to taste the fried snickers and Oreos. Not a place I would recommend. read more

We order from Melt once a week and have yet to be disappointed. Food is consistently good and we love all their combinations of bread and cheese! Our go to favorites are the Ragin Cajun and Goat Cheese appetizer. Our friends are deeply committed to the Cuban. I would highly recommend any of the dishes and they do a great job on the to go orders. read more

Wow super impressed with Melt (Hoover location).. I guess I always imagined that everything would be just super heavy but we've ordered the nachos, the Cajun chicken sandwich, the strawberry salad... and of course the fried oreos. All absolutely delicious! The salad tastes like how you wish your salads would taste when you make it at home (haha simple but perfect)..The nachos were my FAVE and we got them to-go and they surprisingly held up very well. The chips were so yummy, the BBQ was tender and soooo flavorful, jalapeños were crunch and spicy, and the sauces/cheese were sooo yummmmmm! Loved the ratio of everything because there were enough toppings to go with all of the chips! Shared with hubby and we were both super full after. Next favorite are the fries.. so potatoEy with a crispy outside batter and perfectly salted. The Texas toast was comforting and hugged the sandwich well. Oreos are BANGIN don't skip them. Ordered food to go through Yelp/ Grubhub. I've only ever had food from the Melt Food Truck. The order was ready before the estimated pick up time. We both ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was great!! The beer battered fries were amazing as well! The food was still pretty warm, to where we didn't have to reheat it-- huge plus! Will be back soon to dine in, maybe try their outdoor seating. read more

One of my favorite restaurants!! Make sure you get the macaroni and cheese egg rolls! My mom and I decided to pop in after a day of trying on wedding dresses and looking at venues! The inside was very packed, so we sat outside. The wait went by really fast, and they brought the food out to us promptly. I love the downtown Melt and I was surprised that the new Hoover location was just as good, if not better! My goto is the grilled cheese and the mac and cheese. Tried the Patty melt for the first time and was surprised when they asked how I want my burger. Asked for medium and they nailed it which doesn't happen often. Also tried the Goat cheese dip and will definitely be on my regular list. read more

The food I've gotten is okay but the service kind of turns me off from this place. I've been twice in the last month or so and each time the person taking our order has just been rude, short, acted like I was bothering them with ordering. I understand it's probably not a fun job but as a server myself even just seeming neutral is fine to me! Just not rude. I got the Ole Smokey sandwich and the turkey was way too salty for me. The Chandelier Lounge is a super cute karaoke lounge that I feel is welcoming to both young adults and more mature adults. There is limited seating, however, you can always get a section if available. Thankfully I haven't had an issue with seating or comfort for either visit, but this was the main complaint you'd hear from people waiting or standing around. There's only so much a business can do about this. Wings were pretty good (took a while), service was friendly/smiling, bathrooms were clean, space flowed. I'd recommend the chandelier lounge to others rather you're singing on the mic, in the crowd, enjoying a drink or food, or grabbing a hookah.

Our waiter was great and had lots of suggestions. We ended up with the blackened chicken pasta and pimento cheeseburger. The burger was cooked to perfection and tasty. The bun itself was a little thinner than what I am used to but still good. The pimento cheese was not my favorite, as it seemed to lack something. The sweet potato fries with caramel sauce were delicious and great accompaniment to any burger. The pasta was just your average dish. They did have a nice cocktail menu... Ended up with a blueberry lemon drop martini and absolutely delicious. Will we be back? Yes... There are some other things we would like to try.

The service was on point, with several servers keeping our table stocked with wine and food. We tried several different appetizers for the group. The baked Brie was divine and I also really enjoyed the Caprese skewers. We got a large charcuterie tray to share, but I forgot to grab a picture of it. It was loaded with meat, cheese, olives, fruits, pickles, nuts, and chocolate. Everything was just delicious! We also appreciated that on Wednesdays they have half price glasses of wine!
