My cousin came to town and this was our 2nd stop while visiting the Magic City! The Mac n' Egg Rolls were delicious as always and we got the Patty Melt and 3 Amigos. We finished off with their deep fried double stuffed Oreos. We were so stuffed when we left and finished every bite. The staff was very helpful when we were trying to make a decision. Plenty of spaces to sit inside and outside and would recommend parking in the back (plenty of space there). read more

Although I'm not vegan, I tried the beyond burger as a vegan option at Melt in Hoover. The patty is plant-based & surprisingly delicious as a beef alternative. The pickle was a nice touch for crunchiness. I ordered it for pick-up to bring at home so the pick-up service was fast & convenient. The restaurant has a laidback ambiance to it. No visible Covid precautions were placed but that is not surprising nowadays. read more

We love melt and now that it's so close to us we order it pretty often. The chicken pesto is one of my favorite sandwiches, buffalo chicken salad is a tad too salty though. My husband loves their Cuban and food truck nachos. Our last order we decided to try to fried Oreos which were pretty good. I didn't enjoy how much breading was around the Oreo. They were baseball sized so it really took away from the actual Oreo taste. Still a local favorite and go to restaurant for us! read more

It's been on my list to visit the Melt location in Avondale, but I never made it. The new Hoover location is less than 10 minutes from my house so I visited the new location instead. The menu was quite diverse and surprisingly they had a nice small selection of alcoholic beverages. The service was 5 star. I had a very tasty sandwich. I cannot remember the name of the sandwich but it had ham, cheese, chorizo, and a (what I call) a flat egg. The bread was toasted as well. For a $2 upcharge, I had a side salad. I enjoyed my visit and will definitely return. read more

I am giving two stars because the food is great when you eat in the restaurant. I use Uber-Eats frequently and have ordered Melt a few times. I will never again as long as they continue to use those white containers. Bread ends up soggy, as well as the fries. Temperature is off. Texture is gross. Plus, its 2023. Get with the program and quite using that crap. read more

This place has one of the best Cuban's I've ever had. Their fried pickles are a family favorite and the baked feta has to be tried. Great fries and the fried snickers are sinfully good. You can't go wrong with anything I've tried on the menu. read more

I wanted to walk out as soon as I walked in. It was cold and uninviting. The selections really weren't for me, although I did find several things appealing. Overall, the food of everyone in my group, including me, was really good. The tables and floors could have been a good bit cleaner as there was sticky on the tables and we had to clean our own. The staff was nice. They didn't do more than seemingly necessary as the boys were busy chatting amongst themselves....I guess the reason we had to clean our own table. Will I return? Possibly, but it may not be my first choice. I'm not a huge fan of a bunker theme or super hero's but that's on me. I would however, place a pick up because the food was great! read more

I have done curbside pick up a few times. It has been quick and easy. I got the cheese burger customized. It was delicious. The sauce is yummy. The fries are so-so. The burger was fresh and cooked to perfection. Glad there is a closer location. Good addition to Hoover! read more

I am a vegetarian so it's not easy to find a good veggie burger. My first time trying the beyond burger at melt I was blown away. They cook it with a chargrilled flavor which reminds me of being at a backyard bbq. It is a must that I visit at least once a week. I haven't been disappointed this far and I don't expect to be. Just tried this location for the first time. Really good! Same quality as the Avondale location. I got the chicken pesto sandwich, which was delicious, and the pesto was fresh. The fries were also hot and crispy. Unlike the other location (I think), this one is fast-casual, so you order your food at the counter and they bring it to you. Service was really good and friendly though. There's limited parking here, but not too bad. Would definitely recommend! read more

My family stopped by Melt for dinner on a Friday night during a softball tournament. Virtually no line, plenty of places to sit, great service, and great food. You place your order at the menu. *If it's your first time going, look for their menu online* the We ordered the Mac n' cheese egg rolls for the table (6/10), food truck nachos (8/10), chicken parmigiana toasted sandwich (6/10), and the Hawaiian (8/10). Also ordered the side salad with balsamic and it was delicious. Our food arrived quickly and everything was perfect. We will definitely return the next time we're in the area. read more

Our foods was good, but it was not super great. We had the food truck nachos to start. They were really good! My husband had the Buffalo chicken sandwich, which he liked a lot. I had the pesto chicken. It was greasy. My daughter had the Mac and cheese melt. She liked it fine. We may give it another try some day. read more
