This is a great dog park for Wilsonville. I mean it's in the heart of things being at the park. It has two sections, a small dog area and a large dog area. Works out great to keep the playful dogs together and to keep the shy dogs separated as well. There is plenty of room for your four legged friends. There is water available, although it is shut off currently for the winter. The large dog area is LARGE and open. There is a fire hydrant, some trees, a few picnic tables, and lots of grass. The small dog area has a picnic table, a few trees and plenty of grass for the tiny furry friends. Both areas are fully fenced so there are no gaps/holes in which you would need to worry about unless your furry friend is a digger. There are usually always plenty of friendly dogs to socialize with and as mentioned plenty of room if your dog just likes to smell the flowers. I thoroughly enjoyed living close to this park while I was living in Wilsonville. It does get a little muddy where the tracks have worn down some of the grass but other than that not really any other concerns. read more

Great dog park and I really appreciate having more than one entrance for anxious pups. Plenty of amenities, spare balls, a wash station and rest room, and water bowls around. My dog loves the space to get to run at the end of the yard away from the large groups of dogs. Wish more owners picked up after their dog's but every time we visit it's well maintained. Decent dog run in a very nice park What it has going for it: - separate small & big dog runs - water source in both runs - decent entrances and gates in both runs (2 entrances for big dog run - good size dog runs - canopy in both runs - trails around dog runs What it has going against it: - gets muddy after it rains - ground cover is grass and dirt - human bathrooms are in park but not near dog runs (port-a-potty in parking area) - limited seating - limited shade So came to dog run right after it rained overnight. This place was a muddy mess and wouldn't let my dog in. Both runs are a good size but fencing in both could be more substantial. Change out ground cover, add more seating and shade and this is a 4 star dog run. Add better fencing and human bathrooms next to run and this could potentially be a 5 star dog run. read more

Warning: please keep an eye on your dogs. Yesterday, July 12 in the late morning my dog ate marijuana that was dropped in the park. We were there for about 2 hours and by the time we got home(literally the second we got out of the car, no time to eat something at home), my dog was severely ataxic behind -- little control of her hind end like she was drunk, and not panting even though it was almost 100°. I thought maybe concussion since she'd bonked heads playing with another dog, but $140 at the ER vet later we had a confident diagnosis of THC toxicity. I'd smelled someone smoking weed in the disc golf course nearby, so maybe they flicked it over the fence... I'm not sure. Either way, we won't be back, and please heed my warning and keep your eyes on your pups! read more

Memorial Dog Park - Dog Parks Near Me - Wilsonville, Oregon

This is a very nice dog park down the way from the baseball fields. Go to the main entrance of Memorial Park, at bottom of the hill turn left, go past the cool barn and park in the dirt parking area. You will see the signs, doggie bags, path from there. Memorial Dog Park has a big dog section and a small dog section with separate, double gated entrances! The dog park has fresh water that they rigged to come out of a red Albertville, AL fire hydrant, trash and bags provided, a nice, solid covered area (like a park shelter) with multiple picnic tables.....plenty of mature trees to hang out underneath. Signs everywhere to remind people to leash up, clean up. The big side has a swimming pool (maybe donated by a dog owner). Fence does have large gaps (just the nature of the fencing) that Chihuahua dogs would totally slip out of. The fencing is also the kind that is 4 inch by 4 inch holes....which is also not suitable for small puppies, ect. But, it is just me and my adult sized Schipperke who can't get out anymore, so I can go here. The park is down a path with no visual of the rest of the city park. You might want someone else with you if late at night....not that it is a scary place, but....jus' sayin'. Nice job Wilsonville! read more

There are two enclosures at Wilsonville's Memorial Field Dog Park. One is a huge field for large, energetic dogs that has a hill, a central faucet and wading pool, as well as tables in shade and in sun. The other is a smaller area for small/shy dogs, mostly treed, with shelter and table. NOTE: In summer/autumn 2020 there is construction work on a sewer system that prevents weekday parking near the dog park; one has to park to the west of the tennis courts and walk about 120 yards across grass to reach the dog park. read more

Great park overall. Lots to do. Off leash dog park is located at one end of a vast park including trails, ball fields, and picnic areas. Some work is being done as they are moving the dog park area a bit away from the current location. As a result there is a chunk of the dog park blocked off which is a bit of a pain. I live close by this park and have been coming for years. I like that it's rough, by also fenced in. It's not so big that you loose track of your pup, but plenty big enough to stretch two and four legs! I have a small dog, but I rarely use the small dog area. It's rough, full of holes, often has long grass, and is often empty. We come to play with other dogs and get out energy. But running in the small dog area and you could easily twist an ankle! The big dog are has a great walking path around the perimeter so both people and dogs can get exercise if they want. Most of the dogs and owners are well behaved. But you do get some that are not. Having a little one, I scout out the group first before coming in. My two biggest complaints are the one or two aggressive dogs I have seen in bad fights. I've seen one dog in two separate fights that sent both dogs to the vet! The second is people that bring their kids. I like kids. My dog likes kids! But a boy brought in a burger in the park! He dropped a chunk in the entrance area and didn't pick it up even after I asked him too. My dog spent the entire visit trying to get under the gate to get the hamburger crumbs! The second was a little girl about three years old. She kept attempting to pick my dog up after I had asked her not too. She couldn't hold her properly and dropped her! Then I caught her hitting my dog! Not hard, but not acceptable! And where in god's name was the parent? At the other end of the park on her phone! Please either leave the kids out or be an attentive parent!!! My dog is not a toy!!! read more

Really beautiful park. Definitely putting this on the traveling list to visit again. We are always impressed with Oregon facilities.

Pros: Large space. Poop bags that people actually use! Small and Large fenced areas. Perimeter is fenced. People are pretty considerate with their dogs and behavior. Cons: Barely any shade, careful if it's hot and your dog's overheats. A lot of the field turns to mud when it's raining, so if you go on a wet day bring a towel. There are many holes from dog diggers/gophers, I've seen my dog run and trip/fall on his face, can be dangerous for smaller dogs. I go once a week here, and it's one of the better ones if you're from the area. read more

I've taken my husky here multiple times. I love the trails this park offers and the kind people who frequent the dog park. My biggest frustration is that dog owners ignore the small dog park and bring their small dog into the big dog area and get bullied around by the bigger dogs. And instead of the small dog owner taking charge of the situation and removing their dog they point fingers at the bigger dog. It's super annoying and very ignorant for them to bring their dog into the big section. read more

My pups love this park. It is hidden from the rest of the park so it's just dog people which if you are one you'll appreciate that. It has a nice little path that you can walk around the perimeter while the pups play. Suggestion for those new to the park, bring a towel if you don't want dirt in your car. There is a water fountain in the middle and it tends to get a little muddy. read more

I love that there's a small-dog area--most dog parks don't have that. It's pretty well-kept, & so far, I haven't seen any "problem" dogs or owners. Always a nice way to meet other dog-fans. Lovely trail to get there. read more

This is a really great dog park. It's a pretty big fenced area so active pups have room to run and there's a smaller fenced area for little dogs or pups who are not as we'll socialized. It was muddy, but what can you expect for November in Oregon. It's clean, folks respect the scoop the poop rule and there's not garbage lying around. read more

I love this dog park! Such a great place for dogs to be dogs! Please don't bring children to any dog park though. There is a wonderful kid park there for them to be kids. Everytime I'm there, I see children running inside the dog park. My dogs loves kids but he's not gentle with them and will knock them over. Its not safe for children!! I don't have many places to take my dog off leash worry free. This should be one of them. Leave the kids behind. read more
