I'm vegetarian and don't eat eggs, so I ordered the Mexican Chilaquiles without egg. They were super helpful and substituted the egg with beans and mushrooms, which I really appreciated. A lot of places will just remove the egg, so it was nice that they actually replaced it with something. The chilaquiles were flavorful and filling. My husband got the Quesadilla Mex with veggies, and it was HUGE! It was thick and stuffed really well. He couldn't even finish it. It came with salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and a small basket of fries. For the price, I think the portions here are really good. I also got the iced Coko Moko Latte with coconut syrup, chocolate, and a shot of espresso. Really liked this one! The coconut and chocolate went surprisingly well together with the coffee. The location is convenient too, close to downtown Metuchen and Whole Foods, and they have their own parking lot, which is always a plus around this area. Good food, good portions, friendly service, and a really nice brunch date overall. We'll definitely be back!

Maria's got a glow-up, y'all!…read more The old spot was cute. It was cozy. It was also... tiny. For a place this popular, finding a table on the weekend felt like winning the lottery. But now? SO much more room to breathe. Maria's moved into the old Latin Port space at 87 Central Ave, and they've been in the new location for about two months now. You can actually walk in, have a seat, and not feel like you've accidentally walked into someone's living room. I popped in today for a quick latte to go and went with a hot Coko Loko (that's latte with coconut syrup and a lil' hint of choc). And just when I thought I was done, I got this little surprise at the end: fresh coconut flakes in the final sips. If you're a coconut person, you'll want to try this one!

He also really enjoyed the seasonal Berry Cloud Fizz beverage. I ordered the chicken scoop that was absolutely delicious. 2 Crispy chicken breasts topped with yummy bacon jam all on top of a delicious Belgium waffle drizzled with maple mustard syrup. It was not drenched in syrup which was great, the perfect amount of sweet and salty. For our appetizers we ordered the cauli tempura with the sauce in the side as our server Mericis suggested after my concern over the spice level; and I'm glad she mentioned it because one dip into the sauce and it was not for me. She joyfully suggested other sauces (garlic mayo, aji verde & chimichurri) that were delicious but the garlic mayo was my fave. We also got the nori roll which is one of our fave apps here. The sauce drizzled on top really takes it to the next level. For drinks I ordered the seasonal dulce plantain pudding latte -- yum! Loved every bit of it, especially that it wasn't overly sweet. Our server, Mericis was great. Always attentive, patient as I tried to figure out what I wanted to try next after coming for my 3rd time, and overall great vibes. She made our experience an amazing one on top of the delicious food and drinks we had. Will definitely return! Also love they have printed menus now!

Here's a polished, friendly Yelp-ready rewrite:…read more I stopped in for breakfast at this little gem, and it did not disappoint. The moment you walk in, the aroma alone pulls you in. From the outside it looks small, but there's a roomy back area with plenty of seating. The coffee was fantastic and came in a small carafe--perfect for two cups, though they offer larger sizes too. Their frittata selection is impressive, with so many delicious options. I went with the bacon, egg, and cheese topped with their famous cheese sauce. Trust me, you need to try it. We also ordered the Egg Benny--omelette pieces topped with home fries, bacon, sausage, and that same signature cheese sauce. Another winner. Ask for their jelly!!!! Wink wink!!! Our server was wonderful--constantly checking in, refilling our water, and making sure we had everything we needed. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. You won't be disappointed.

My wife ordered the Smash Burger. A delicious two-patty delight with a special sauce. I had the Loaded Potato "Pizette." A 14 inch flatbread with mozzarella cheese, pillowy home fries and garlic aeoli, this was delicious, the bread perfect, not too hard, not too soft. We'll be back to try the more breakfasty side of the menu. Recommended!

As soon as we sat down, our server was incredibly welcoming and attentive. I asked him for a drink recommendation and told him what flavors I usually enjoy, and he immediately suggested something that ended up being absolutely perfect for me. The drink didn't take long at all to come out as well! Everyone at my table ordered burgers, and we were all impressed. The portions were generous, and the burgers were cooked just right. They were juicy, flavorful, and satisfying without feeling overly heavy. We paired them with fries and onion rings for the table, and both were sooo crispy and delicious. The restaurant itself is beautiful both outside and inside. It has a really inviting vibe, and you can tell they put effort into creating a space that feels stylish but still comfortable. When we arrived, it wasn't too busy, which made for a relaxed lunch experience. While we were there, near the bar area there was a group of people celebrating something with a DJ, and the energy over there looked like so much fun!! Overall, great service, delicious food, and a fun atmosphere. I'll absolutely be coming back!

It is a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and cute simple decor that has a communal feel. The specials menu had some fun and exciting choices for st Patrick's day! There was also a listing for blueberry pierogies which we decided we just had to try. I think the concept is exciting and new- but the inside of the pierogies were only blueberries which weren't very sweet. We thought it could be even better with the addition of a sweetened ricotta, cream cheese, or mascarpone inside to compliment the berries. There was a drizzle of some kind of icing which was tasty and went well but there wasn't enough of it. We ordered our meals from their regular menu. They must have polish roots because pierogies and kielbasa show up on the menu a few times. I saw "pierogie omelet" and was sold. You can tell their pierogies are freshly made and it makes all the difference. I probably wouldn't get the omelet again because it was kind of a lot happening at once, however, next time I go I think I definitely would like to get the pierogi platter they offer because I enjoyed the kielbasa and pierogies so much. My sister got a strawberry arugula salad with crispy chicken. I did not try it but I tried a piece of chicken and it was deliciously crisp. She said everything was really good and the strawberries were perfect and ripe. My mom, who got the protein pancake with fruit on side agreed. My other sister got a tuna wrap which she also enjoyed. I also like that they do a 1/2 tea 1/2 lemonade with your choice of flavor. I got the raspberry and it was delicious - not too sweet but the flavor was there. Our waitress was a gem and we never felt rushed.
