Had a smog check performed here. The smog passed the emissions part, but the car codes were not cleared. Many places will not charge for a failed smog, but I paid $50 for this fail. I would not recommend going here again unless your car has no issues. I had changed my own battery and apparently that was why those codes wouldn't go away. Not sure if the mechanic would've been able to clear it electrically, but there was nothing actually wrong with my car. I didn't feel like they really cared about the situation. They offered half off for a re-take, but if that failed I would be down $75 for a failed smog. read more

Just went today for my smog check & could not be happier with the service. I'm assuming the owner helped me today & was so patient & helpful. I was serviced very quickly & was able to stay in my car while he performed the smog check for me. I spent maybe 25-30 minutes total at the shop. #130 for 2021 Mena is probably the nicest mechanic you will meet. Although his price is higher than the average price out there to get a smog check you may choose to come back to get that personal touch of service. No appointment necessary. There was no one else there when I came in. I drove up, Mena introduced himself and explained how it was going to work. Very simple. I gave him the DMV paper work and he asked me to pop the hood, leave the car running and let him record the mileage. In 10 minutes he was done. He charged me $58 for the inspection. He was able to file my registration and get it paid with my card too. Now I just need to wait to get the new sticker in the mail. Done!! And it should be that simple. Thank you Mena. read more

I have never seen a business with 5 stars before, so I knew so had to attest to its reputation. I requested a quote via Yelp and was responded to within 10 minutes, after business hours. The next morning air got my smog check by a wonderfully delightful gentleman. He was kind, understanding, and very patient. It was pouring rain that morning and he did the whole check with me inside my car dry. He helped me understand parts of the car that needed a second look at. I had him replace the intake hose since we saw some wear and tear on it. He was extremely delightful to do business with and fully understand why this gentleman has 5 stars. This is a review from my heart, because that is what the gentleman asked me to do. So here you are. I drove up I waited about 10 minutes. I was in and out in no time again about 10 minutes. Maybe 20 minutes altogether. I will go back to this place every time for my smog check here on out. I think it was a little pricey than normal places but it was also down the street so I guess I am paying for convenience. I did not even have to get out of my car however I am not sure if the gentleman working there knows what a personal bubble is because he was very close to me even though we just both had masks on it felt a little uncomfortable.
