My cousins friend told her to go to menchies. So my cousin and I decided to give it a try. It is so cute! Reminds me of a Hello Kitty store for frozen yogurt. The cute little mascot they have it adorable! Instead of asking for sample cups they have a silver tray filled with them out in the open for customers to grab. It's nice incase the cashier is busy or not there. I was so impressed with the flavors and the great amount of variety toppings. Everyone that works here is very friendly as well. This Menchie's location is near my nail salon, so I stop in after my appointments like 98% of the time. I love my sweets and it's just too tempting being in the same little shopping center with them LOL. I really love froyo, and even more than that - I love all the toppings! As far as the quality of the frozen yogurt, it's good but not the best for sure. Quality wise, I think both Yogurtland and Pinkberry are much better for the chains and Yogurt on the Rocks in PB is the best overall in my opinion. What had me hooked for the longest time to choose Menchie's over the others was that they had chocolate covered pretzels as a topping selection. About a year ago ALL locations stopped carrying the chocolate covered pretzels which was the hugest disappointment to me. No one had an answer as to why they stopped, so the only think I can think of is that my business alone wasn't enough to encourage them to still serve them LOLOLOL. I think I was going once a week for a while when they had them, that how much it meant to me! The Yogurt flavors change frequently, they have a large selection of toppings and sauces. I always get a waffle bowl too and one time they were out and the young man working actually made me a fresh one right then and there! Every single time I have been in there, the staff have been great!! They say that the cones are no extra charge, but you are paying by weight - so you are paying for your cone LOL. I have never left Menchie's spending less than $5, even when I am trying to keep it small. One thing I love is that they have a rewards program and I have cashed in $5 credits a few times. I get emails with coupons sometimes too and it's great because the coupon is under your phone number so you don't have to print anything or remember to bring it with you. Rancho San Diego is way waaaay out of my way normally but there are locations all over. This place offers week day deals, like an after school special. I went in on a Sunday evening - no special offer but was very pleased with the flavor offerings. They had 2 sugar free flavors, 2 sorbets and many tasty frozen yogurt flavors. I had the sugar free devils food cake (chocolate) with almonds, strawberries and Hershey's hard shell chocolate. It was delicious. I gave 5 stars for two reasons: 1, Customer service was great. I love this location! It is always so clean and tidy! Their yogurt selection changes but they have a lot of the same flavors all the time. My favorite of all time is the Oreo flavor! I love the waffle bowls but they aren't always fresh, so I usually ask the employees to make me a fresh one and sometimes they do and are very nice about it and sometimes they get annoyed, which is weird, because I defiantly do not want to pay to eat a stale waffle cone! This was my first time coming here, I seen the special for kid's happy hour on the window and door when I was driving in the morning in the area. I was excited to pick my daughter from school and bring her here by 2pm after our library trip. I walked in, Katie politely welcomed my 2 kids and I and also informed us of the promotion. Explained the the 8oz was for the kids and they can fill it up and be a flat $3 each. I filled up our 8oz bowls and as I went to pay, Sam, then asked to weigh the cups and said there would be a charge of $13.03, I was surprised because I was under the impression it would be $3 each flat and of course perhaps tax. I told her that the other girl, Katie, told me they would be only $3 and I thought these were kid sizes (they were); Sam then said no all of the cups are the same size and so therefore will be charged accordingly. I said ok I'll pay the price but I won't be coming back here again. I sat my kids down to eat their treats. They're still eating as I type this review and since I sat down other customers came in and only paid $3 and not have to weigh the cups. Not one employee,Katie or Sam, has came up or acknowledge their error and offered a refund. So therefore I am extremely dissatisfied in their customer service and Menchie's can have the over charge as my donation in hopes they would offer customer service training. I was in this establishment for 40mins, not once was apologized to for their error as they charged all kid's bowls only $3 flat after my transaction and Sam said absolutely nothing to me. I drove almost 6 miles to just come here to have a nice treat with my kids and instead I spent my time to enjoy with kids posting this review. Next time I'll be supporting a family owned local business closer to home back 6 miles away from Menchie's. read more

I came here a second time. The first time I just stole 2 spoons from the siblings. I went again and boy are flavors lacking or off. I don't know what it is, but it isn't anything like yogurtland or the yogurtmill in el cajon. secondly, the prices are a little higher than what I usually pay for yogurt. We got two cups that were some what filled, perhaps half and it cost 11 bucks! When I go to yogurtland we fill that sucker up and for 2 cups it has never exceeded 7-8 bucks. Compared to YL, Menchies is *SO* expensive. I went there yesterday and got a pretty small portion of just yogurt, no toppings and it still came out to $4. My boyfriend and I went again another time and we both got a regular-sized portion and minimal toppings and it came out to more than $15! Damn. They have a great deal Friday night where the cost per cup is $5, regardless of portion and weight which is pretty awesome, I continue to come here on occasion because I like that Menchies changes up their flavors so frequently and has a low-carb option (YL, take note!) but their prices really turn me off.
