I was disappointed with my experience at this Menchie's location. The frozen yogurt flavors tasted off and were not enjoyable, which left me with very few options that I actually wanted to eat. Compared to other froyo shops, the selection and overall quality felt lacking. The toppings selection was also very limited, and I was surprised to find that toppings were only available in pre-packaged containers. Having to purchase an entire cup of sprinkles seemed excessive, wasteful, and inconvenient when I only wanted a small amount. The staff working there were quite young and friendly - although I was appalled they asked for a tip upon check out. It's a fully self service place. For those of you who've never been the Menchie's you pour the froyo yourself and you can sample the product before you make a decision. But buyer beware - it will always cost you $10 even if you get the smallest amount of yogurt but load up on toppings. I love a topping though - and got the original tart and the dole whip pineapple which is my absolute favorite. There's actually a lot of room to sit indoors and outside. I have always loved Menchie's and have been looking all over to try to find a location in Dallas ever since moving from Michigan, so I was so ecstatic to finally find this spot in Allen! Walking into the store was just as I remembered it from up north and the flavors were pretty similar to the locations up there as well. The only thing I did not like was that the toppings were in small containers and it was not necessarily build your own to your liking. The staff were friendly and if you go on Mondays (Monday Yummday), you can fill up your cup as much as you want for the price of $7.99! The inside was clean and there was a good amount of space to sit and they even had a little bit of seating outside. Frozen yoghurt is always a great treat for the entire family. They have a great selection on frozen yoghurt flavor. The yoghurt is smooth and not too overly sweet and makes a great base to add some topping at the end. The great thing about Menchis is that you can add/mix any flavor, toppings as much as you like and pay for your dessert based on weight. I also appreciate that they offer all the toppings prepackaged in little plastic cups with lids. So no little or big hands get their hands touching everything! They have many indoor and outdoor seating area and it is conveniently located at Watterscreek. Parking might be a little hard if you come just here for frozen yoghurt. Anyways, the manage or owner, got so mad at the kid in front of her friends asking her "is this what you are only getting?" "Are you going to buy anything? If not throw those away!". Mechie's Frozen Yogurt is a delightful spot to grab a quick cold bite with the family. I find myself always stopping here after we leave the shopping area and spending a few quality family movements building tiny frozen memories. At some point, yogurt is yogurt is yogurt. But the yogurt is simply the reason you show up, the great attitude and personalities that I experience when we dine here are why we come back. I love watching my kids build their yogurt with all sorts of colors and tastes that I will "never" try... LOL It's great to see kids be kids, which is what we all become when there's ice cream or yogurt involved. They always have a great variety of flavors, the staff is always super friendly, the place is always clean and they experience is always wonderful. There is no one to open the store. Even if you have a pick up. You're out of luck. The owner needs to open the store when employees don't show up. Sadly we came to Menchis to use a gift card that was purchased for us and when we came in and got our frozen ice cream the store manager told us their gift card system was down & there was no way to look up what was left on the card or use the gift card for our purchase. Disappointed since we can't make it into town often we asked Lauren the store manager if she would be willing to give a discount or offer one of the yogurts for free and she said there was nothing she could do. She doesn't have a discount option for her screen. If she's the store manager why doesn't she have access to discount or comp the yogurt? Since our kids already pilled on their yogurt we couldn't exactly walk out because that's not the right thing to do. Upon repeated requests ultimately store manager Lauren did nothing to compensate for their system inquiry being out of service. Poor, very poor, customer service. Menchie's was the perfect conclusion to an otherwise boring weeknight! I really wish there were more locations! This little froyo shop is nestled in the Watters Creek shopping complex in Allen - right across the street from the kids' playground and open field creek area. Brightly lit and decorated, it's sure to catch anyone's eye. They have 2 options for cups: waffle cups and regular cups. I haven't seen waffle cup options at other places before so seeing that was a first. What left me more impressed than other froyo places was the custom MTO froyo cakes, myriad of topping options and of course all the fatty dessert flavored froyo - close to 10+ varieties. They. Had. Nutella. Squeeze. Bottles. The toppings included: boba, several varieties of Hershey's toppings, fresh fruit, brownies, cheesecake, candy pieces. Definitely more variety than at other places. Some of the flavors ranged from cake batter, red velvet, cookies n' cream, dulce de leche, and marshmellow. Dulce de leche was perfection. Went to Menchie's for the first time and decide to try their flavors so I picked up their FREE SAMPLES and went to try some. I got two samples which I did not like so I decided to sit at a table to wait on my friends. As I'm waiting at the table by me self the manger/owner comes towards me and tells me "are you going to buy anything? If not then I'm going to ask you to leave now!" I told him that I was waiting on my friends but he told me that they already left (but then I later found out that they got kicked out from the same person) and if I'm not going to buy anything I need to leave. Which I didn't mind doing, but he followed me out and got on to me. He told me that what I was doing earlier when tasting the flavors they had that it was "STEALING". I tried to tell him that I was just getting samples but he kept saying I was "STEALING" and if I'm not going to buy anything then I shouldn't be using the samples unless if I'm going to buy something. This was my first time to Menchie's and it was amazing! This is a unique froyo chain because they have so many topping options that other froyo places don't have. Firstly you can choose if you want a regular cup or a waffle cup. Then you pick from their yummy flavors, and choose from 20 toppings. They also have chocolate syrups, caramel, and Nutella to drizzle on top! I got the cheesecake, chocolate, salted caramel pretzel, and birthday cake flavors. I went all out on the toppings choosing Kit Kats, Oreos, gummy worms, and Nutella drizzle. I highly recommend this place and will be back! read more

Please beware of the management at this business location. My daughter and three of her friends visited this frozen yogurt shop on 09/17/2022. My daughter and her friends were immediately under surveillance by the shop manager and/or owner from the moment they walked through the door. While sampling a couple of the frozen yogurt sample selections, the shop manager approached my daughter and her friends within minutes of them being in the store and stated, "you all need to buy something or leave because you all are holding up the line." Although, they were not in a line and nor was anyone else in a line. He then said to my daughter and her friends that "those samples aren't for you all." One of her friends informed the manager that they do intent to purchase a yogurt. The manager then proceeds to walk away. My daughter and her friends hurried up and made their selection and started to build their yogurt that they were going to purchase. They were in the process of applying the toppings to the yogurt when the manager approached them again and started loudly and repeatedly telling them to leave the shop while motioning with his hands for them to leave. My daughter and her friends put down the yogurt that they were making to purchase and exited the shop. The shop manager then stood in front of the doors to make sure that they could not reenter. In total, my daughter and her friends were only in the yogurt shop for about 5 to 7 minutes before being made to leave. Also, when my daughter and her friends first entered the shop, they were told by the non-management staff behind the sales counter that they could sample the yogurt selections. So, it's really shameful that the manager and/or owner would try to deter them from sampling by telling them that "those samples aren't for you all." It was at this time that they noticed another group of teenagers that were also sampling the frozen yogurt as they were; however, the shop manager did not ask the other group to hurry up, did not ask the other group to purchase something or leave, and did not tell the other group that the samples were not for them. My daughter and her friends are really hurt by this type of treatment aimed at them from an adult, and don't understand this level of mean-spiritedness. They have had little exposure to this sort of thing before, and therefore its difficult for them to understand this level of hatred that was directed towards them. However, I along with other adults can understand exactly what this is and why this happened, given how cruel, mean, and bigoted people can be now days. read more

Came here for grand opening. Mad respect to the owners for being patient, there were a couple of rude, immature teens/children in line and they kept their composure and smiled. The inside is surprisingly not as small as I thought it would be, and it was nice and clean. There were lots of flavors to choose from and the toppings were plentiful. I really enjoyed the chewy brownies as they were soooo yummy. I didn't get to look at their prices as their grand opening had free fro yo so I can't comment on that. Their staff seemed joyful and I liked how centered they were on family. One comment I'd like to say that doesn't relate, they had free tshirts for the first few customers but all of them were a size youth medium ?? We love this place! My favorite thing about this is that all the allergens are listed for the frozen yogurt. They also take care not to mix for example a gluten-free flavor with one that does have gluten. Same goes for this sorbet. Store Vegas with sorbet so someone who is dairy free can get something safe. I love Menchie's! I don't know why but It's such a cute yogurt chain. They had them in L.A. and I would go get my sweet tooth fix about once a week when I lived in Santa Monica. I remember telling family and friends that I wanted to open a Menchie's in Allen Texas or Frisco after hearing they were a franchise. This was back in 2010!! There was maybe one branch in north Dallas. Unfortunately, I was a broke student then! And now a very broke adult with student loan debt...shortly after the Menchie's franchise took off!! I didn't really understand what IT was about Menchie's I favored soooo much more in comparison to the hundreds of other froyo chains you see everywhere!! The CEO of the company sums it up in an interview with the Los Angeles times, Other chains "all sell a product and focus on that," he said. "We sell an experience of making people smile." Yes! So simple yet so smart! As a customer I have so many options and choices now more than ever! In order to keep me as a repeat loyal customer it's almost more important to focus on my experience and how I feel when I eat there or shop there. Menchie's definitely always brightened up my day!!! I'm instantly happy when I walk inside aNd grab my color changing frozen yogurt spoon! They have the right vibe! And it's not such a mystery to me anymore why..... This area is just killing it!
