Only 1 person working at a time on a weekend day is probably difficult to get things restocked but we just won't be back as this was the exact issue the other 2 times. This Menchie's Frozen Yogurt is located in the same plaza as Walmart, specifically right next door to Jamba Juice and nearby Panda Express, Sees Candy and Crumbl Cookie. My husband and I decided to stop by Menchie's Frozen Yogurt this past Monday to take advantage of their buy one get one free deal for National Frozen Yogurt Day. We came in around 1:35 pm. There was one employee at the register. We got a cup and started to fill it with frozen yogurt. Currently there is a special limited edition flavor, Hi Chew Raspberry flavor. My husband started to fill his cup up several flavors, where I was being rather choosy since I didn't want that much. But I could tell just by looking at my husband's cup that it probably weighs a lot more than mine. So we walked to the register to weigh his cup and then mine. My cup was 0.8 oz lighter than his but I didn't want any more frozen yogurt so I decided to start adding toppings. But had to reweigh the cup again to see where I was at in terms of weight. Then decided to add fresh cup strawberries and then brought it to the register. During that time of weighing my cup twice (please note that there was no one waiting to pay yet, the customers in the store were still filling their cups with froyo and toppings), the employee at the register was rather annoyed with me. I don't know why since I am not holding up anyone from paying. She rolled her eyes at me. I thought it was ironic that she wore a shirt that said "you make me smile" but yet she was frowning the entire time I was there. You'd think with a job that is really easy going in a place that is supposed to bring smiles, employees would be friendly. I have gone to a few Menchie's locations back home in Southern California and have always had stellar service and wish they could teach this girl a few things. Oh and if you are wondering, the Hi Chew Raspberry flavor taste just like the candy. It wasn't bad. Currently it cost $0.69 per oz for frozen yogurt and toppings. read more

Menchies is a great place for some yogurt any time of the day. They are forever changing up the flavors with retaining some of the classics. Their toppings are always fresh, and I've never had a problem with one. I know that there are a lot of kids that come through the store and let's be honest kids are really messy, but I wish that they would wipe down the tables more often and mop the seating area. Every time I go through its always sticky... that my only complaint but regardless of the floor the yogurt is always great, and the staff is always nice read more

I LOVE MENCHIE'S!!! Especially in hot weather. I've been to so many locations while traveling that I feel like I can be a poster child for the franchise! On one of my most recent visits I drove out of my way to get to the Lodi location from the 99 on my way to Sacramento. I was sooooo disappointed. This was the first time and location that I experienced what tasted like really, really watered down froyo. I had two flavors that I eat very regularly and I'm sure that something was up. Wanting to test to make sure, I got some salty fries from nearby to test that it wasn't just me. I am NOT mistaken...it was bad. Really weakly flavored :/ I also went to another store the next day and tried again with the same flavors. I had to know! Thankfully, it was perfect! I'm grateful that I only experienced this at this location...but...This is heart breaking bc now I'm cautious about buying it from any location...it's not cheap! My family and I are out here visiting the grandparents, and we thought we'd walk to frozen yogurt for an after-dinner treat. Menchie's did not disappoint! Covid stuff: They had several ordering stations available with little aisles that made social distancing easy. I took my two kiddos in and we ordered next to a small family. A group started to come in afterward and our cashier right away politely asked them to wait outside. I really appreciated how quick and polite Destiny was in following safety protocols. Destiny showed us where the flavors and toppings menus were located, gave me some recommendations on flavors, and quickly got our four orders. She even gave my kiddos stickers (such a sweet touch). The actual yogurt: delicious! I had cookies and cream with marshmallow topping and cheesecake bites. It disappeared almost as quickly as my children's orders did. This place is brand new and I heard about it's opening from a friend. The workers are friendly and seem happy to be here! The facility is clean, probably because it's a brand new place. The manager is very informative and friendly. They offer lactose free and gluten free products. The cute little frozen yogurt mascot is very family friendly. They even have a chalk board, crayons, and stickers. It's pretty neat that they offer waffle cone samples free of charge. They proudly let you know that their waffle cone is made each and every day. You can definitely tell that it is fresh. The waffle cone is crispy and lightly sweet. I don't usually order the waffle cone, but the density of this waffle cone prevents it from becoming a soggy mess on the bottom of your bowl. Nice! Onto the frozen yogurt! Probiotics are in this stuff, so the bacteria is actually the healthy kind! So you can feel better about eating this as opposed to ice cream. So I have a little bit of an aversion to frozen yogurts because they are often sour or tart. Not so with this place. I tried a few flavors and each flavor was lightly sweet but not overpowering. The strawberry did not leave me with a sour punch face at all! Sweet and not sour. The consistency is lighter than ice cream, very good stuff! I had the strawberry and cheesecake swirl. I was told the cheesecake has actual cheesecake in it. Even better is the fact that there are cheese cake pieces you can add to your strawberry cheesecake frozen yogurt and add some graham cracker crumbs for that all around strawberry cheesecake experience! The music is playful and rated "G", so you don't worry about what the kids could potentially hear. Smile points on the smileage reward program is pretty neat since there are Menchie's everywhere. It is all via phone number, so no silly card to have to keep track of, but if you really want a card they provide you one. This is a place I will definitely return to!! read more

We walk into Menchie's and the place screams of happy brightness because the place is well lit, the music is upbeat, and there's cute artwork of little mascots. Menchie's took the yogurt dessert and took it to Epic Level! I enjoyed my yogurt in a large cup with the freshly made waffle option that contoured to the inside of the cup. The workers allowed us to non-discriminately sample any of the 12 Yogurts using a small disposable shot cups and the ability to mix two complimentary flavors. I like the ingredient info on the yogurt specifying if the flavor: was Nonfat, Gluten Free, Kosher, No fructose corn syrup, and number of Calories among other nutritional things. Next I stood there for awhile debating which of the 32 toppings I wanted and nostalgically felt like a kid in a candy store. I then moved over to their 12 fresh cold toppings and realized that the Mochi was one of my favorites. This is then all topped off with a 3rd layer of toppings with 6 types to choose from including marshmallow and reece's. But be careful! The price you pay is by the weight of the cup. Although the cup felt heavy, I was pleasantly surprised that it costed less than I anticipated. Other pluses were the additional Merchandises (like lip gloss and plushies), a Foam Hand Sanitizer where the bowls are located, and the workers saying "Have a Smily Evening!" on our way out. My husband and I decided to visit this location again, hoping things had improved. There was a little boy about 6 years old who was dipping his dirty hands into all the fruit toppings (disgusting). The young girls who work there were oblivious to this and didn't even notice or change out the fruit until we said something to them. Hannah- the girl worker who rolls her eyes at everybody and everything- was very unfriendly and likes to make fun of people by being condescending and gossipy to her fellow workers who then join in on the snarky attitude. The deal breaker, however, was the fact that customers were still coming in at 9:50 and they had taken most of the toppings out and cleaning/readying the store for closing before anyone was even finished getting their yogurt. The whole experience was negative and egregious and we will not be going to this location anymore as it is a completely unprofessional business with young, immature girls who need to grow up and deal with customers in a more positive and sincere way. read more

I quite enjoy this yogurt place and it has been the first place that has ever had dairy-free yogurt! However, the dairy-free choice isn't always there. Hopefully one day they'll get a permanent dairy-free vanilla yogurt. The customer service is kind of average, the only I didn't like was when I have been there a couple times at night the staff are always on their phones and don't really acknowledge the customer. I went into the store to use the restroom, and my part and I were kicked out for using the restroom because we all had to go pee. The closing manager said we could not be in there and proceeded to be super unprofessional and not very manager like. If she had a real issue she could have went about it completely differently, but she chose to be completely rude and unprofessional and kick us out for using the restroom. We just stopped by to check this place out. It's worth the stop. It has anything you can think of regarding a sundae type thing...but you're charged by the ounce. I tried the Salted Caramel Pretzel, the Vanilla Yogurt which has protein in it, and some kind of cake. It's kind of overwhelming with choices...but you can sample whatever you like. The shop is clean...service is friendly..and it's all do-it-yourself. There are tables and chairs to sit and enjoy. By far my favorite froyo place to come to! Employees are always super friendly and social with you. It's always lit here anytime of the day. I love the diverse selection they have, it's constantly changing so there are times it leaves you heartbroken because a flavor you come to love is gone, but it's quickly healed with a new yummy flavor. With that, it allows you to step out of your comfort zone and try something new! I love the info labels on each flavor because it allows to know what you're consuming. My only complaint is the seating, it's a small shop so it doesn't seat very many people who come in huge groups. Nice little yogurt shop, this is my second time visiting the shop the first time was during grand opening so I wanted to wait to place my review and I'm glad I did because the first review would not of been so great. They have about 12 flavors to choose from and some of the flavors change weekly last week I had a fruit punch and it was amazing and fortunately it was one of the flavors they changed so this week I went with a pineapple sorbet, I don't really like the tart flavors but they do have quite a few of those to choose from if you do enjoy those. This week some of the new flavors are mango, pumpkin and an M&M which my daughter says taste exactly like M&M but she still stuck with her favorite cake batter. And lots of toppings to choose from and syrups to add to the top. Everyone is very friendly and the shop is really clean. Tables inside to eat and a handful outside. read more

Menchie's in new in Lodi, and dropped in to give the new yogurt place a try. Our visit was Friday September 30th, at about 7:30 PM. Just as we walking into the door, a nice young man behind the counter greeted us with 'welcome to Mechie's. Being first timers, my wife and I stopped and looked around to get a feel for the place. The place was very clean, and the topping area was organized and well stocked. As we started to walk past the counter, that same young man asked if this our first time coming in. My wife said yes, and he explained the system to us. My wife got a waffle cup and I took a plan one. We went though the line, and found 12 different yogurt choices. We moved to the first topping station, and located a large selection of toppings and sprinkles. Moving to the second station we found fresh fruits and such. The third area we located tasty syrup's. Then to the pay station, where we received a buy one get one half off card for our next visit. We took seats at an indoor table (tables outside as well) and enjoyed our froyo. From my seat I was able to watch the operation in action. Three polite and courteous staff members helped customers and insured the place was neat, clean, and well stocked. Being new I was surprised how well the three employees worked together. They had a steady flow of customers going through the line in an orderly fashion. The yogurt and toppings were excellent, so we shall return. We would recommend Menchie's to anyone who loves froyo. read more
