We thought it was a saw, sounded like someone was doing renovations above our room. No 'continental' breakfast, just coffee pods and tea bags. Agree with Doreen B - rooms are shabby. Don't expect daily room service as that must now be a thing of the past. Rates don't reflect the lack of services or condition of the property. Location is fine. Not far out of town. Does have access to the beach - with a walk through a field and then a hike down a cliff. So if your up for that? There is a paved walk/bike path that runs behind the property and is heavily used. Don't expect privacy on your little deck - if you are lucky to face the ocean. Parking is slim, but there is a public parking lot right next door that you could walk over from. The staff is great. They are well aware of the properties shortcomings. Would I come back here again - no.

Check-in was easy and we got a room with an ocean view of the Mendocino Coast as well as a jacuzzi in the room. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The bonuses of the Pacific Ocean view and the jacuzzi was something I never imagined I'd experience. I think my only complaints are 1. the remote control was weird like you had to point it a certain way for it to work and 2. a tiny bathroom. But these were minor. Staff was great and very helpful if I had any questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Dear Mr. Marino, Sean, the team at Noyo Harbor Inn, and the entire crew of Harbor View Bistro &…read moreBar, Thank you for creating such an extraordinary place and for providing outstanding hospitality to your guests and diners. Mr. Marino, your vision for Noyo Harbor Inn shines through in every detail. The fact that it took six years to lovingly restore this historic property, working with local artisans and incorporating indigenous materials, speaks volumes about your respect for local history, culture, and the hardworking community that calls this beautiful place home. It is clear that this is far more than a business--it is a labor of love. Your impeccable taste, generosity, and attention to detail make every corner of the inn feel both elegant and deeply welcoming. From the soft robes and plush towels to thoughtful touches like slippers, earplugs, a Nespresso coffee machine, and complimentary water, every detail has been carefully considered. The rooms are beautiful, the views are unforgettable, and even the sounds of the working harbor and Coast Guard station become part of the unique charm and character of the experience. There truly is something here for everyone. The gazebo cigar lounge with its warm fire pit is a wonderful gathering place, whether or not you're a smoker. The whiskey program is remarkable--a book rather than a menu, with more than 100 selections and tasting flights for every level of enthusiast. While I'm not a whiskey connoisseur myself, I couldn't help but appreciate the uniqueness and passion behind such a thoughtfully curated experience. What makes Noyo Harbor Inn truly special, however, is its people. Your handpicked team of warm, genuine, and caring individuals makes every guest feel less like a visitor and more like a cherished friend. Their kindness, professionalism, and hospitality transform a wonderful stay into an unforgettable one. The Harbor View Bistro & Bar is equally exceptional. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere come together beautifully. Dining on the patio while overlooking the river is an experience in itself. The menu offers something for every palate--from creative appetizers and fresh seafood to hearty entrées, vegetarian options, and delicious desserts. Every meal felt special, and the warmth and friendliness of the serving team made each dining experience even more memorable. Noyo Harbor Inn is a hidden gem--one that perfectly reflects the spirit of Fort Bragg, a truly remarkable place filled with rich history, breathtaking natural beauty, and generations of hardworking people. Together, they create something rare and unforgettable. Thank you for giving us memories we will treasure for years to come. We are already planning our next trip, and a stay at Noyo Harbor Inn is without question at the heart of those plans. With gratitude and admiration, We can't wait to return.

The location is great! The rooms are clean and comfortable. They provide a Nescafé machine and pods, including an entire French press coffee set up with grounds. It's incredible! I loved the balcony, and hearing the sea lions barking in the distance was great. Also the off leash dog beach is less than a mile away, it's a nice beach with calm water protected by the marina entrance. Give this place a shot!!!

She made sure our room was ready for us, gave us a discount coupon for a nearby restaurant, and handed us a list of local places to check out, which was so helpful after a long day of driving. Everything was thought out in advance, and we really appreciated that level of care. The room itself was nice, and the ocean view from the balcony was lovely. The location is great, and the property definitely has that classic coastal Fort Bragg vibe. That said, for nearly $300 a night, there were a couple of misses. The shampoo bottle mounted in the shower was empty, which was disappointing -- especially at that price. Thankfully, I had brought my own. It was also pretty noisy early in the morning, with doors slamming throughout the building, which made it hard to get solid rest. Because of those things, I'm taking off one star. Even so, I genuinely liked the place and would consider staying again. Huge shout-out to Cody for going above and beyond -- her kindness and professionalism really made the stay better. @wegotschwag on tik tok

The views with the two arms of the harbor wrapping around the hotel...it is magical. I was worried when I read and saw how close it was to the highway, but with the way its nestled into the hill, road noise is no problem. As for the fog horn, yes, it is noisy and annoying. But we were provided ear plugs and a box fan. Due to the excessive heat this year (and probably every year moving forward--thanks a lot consumerist culture and climate change), we were roasting the first night. No AC. (And I hope they never get it. More wasted energy.) Used the box fan the second night and it was perfect. During the day, opened the glass patio door and enjoyed the ocean breeze. And did I mention the views? I could sit on that patio and watch the water, listening to seals barking, all. day. long. Lastly...it is walkable to the Noyo Headlands Park. This open space is magical. We learned that the neighboring wastewater plant helped replenish the soil after the conservancy obtained the land from the old lumber mill. Volunteers seeded plant life. Brilliant use of local resources! The birds and sea life were incredible. So glad to enjoy nature's glory, and just a walk from the hotel room.

The view from the hotel is beautiful, you're right by the water and right off the highway/main road. We were able to walk to various places but preferred driving because of how the road is built and how busy it is. This hotel is super close to everything, shops, restaurants, and viewpoints. The hotel itself was clean and managed well. Our room was organized, the bathroom had nice soap and shampoo/conditioner included, and we never had trouble getting parking in the small lot they have. They also had breakfast in the mornings which was nice because we were able to grab something on the go when we were heading out. Very nice staff, would stay here again!

We called ahead to see if there was a restaurant on sight. There isn't one, but they have a sister restaurant that is about 3 min away that if you get their coupon you get 20% off. It's only 3.5 stars on Yelp so we passed and ate on our way. We were running late so that was really our only option to get lunch on our way to work. On the phone they asked us our arrive time and according to the gps it said 1hr and 12 minutes. She said she'll try to have our room ready as people were just checking out now. We arrived at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, May 4th 2026. To our amazement our room was ready, we weren't expecting that as we were so early. It was a blessing as I had to get to work in the room, we can work remotely sometimes. They also upgraded us to a room with a view. And it's a remarkable view of the ward and harbor. You can hear the sea lions, I believe barking at each other and many species of bird singing. There is a balcony with chairs you can sit out on too. The room has its own thermostat which keeps the room toasty warm on low and it's quiet. I can't recall what kind of unit it is but it's in the blood bad it quietly pushes hot air out. The room has a kireg type machine with sorted coffee, large mini fridge and freezer, and microwave. There is a desk and lounge chair and big screen tv with multiple channels. The shower/tub and toilet is separate from the vanity. The light to the tub/ toilet are is on the outside and the fan is extremely loud, so loud that it will wake up your mates who are in a deep slumber, so that's a minus. They have a ground floor that requires no steps and has a ramp that goes around to additional rooms. Other than that there are a lot of steps and no elevator that we've seen. So if you don't do stairs pick the ground floor and walk in on the lobby side. The lobby has all day tea, coffee, hot chocolate complimentary. They also have snacks and drinks for purchase: rice a Toni, Mac n cheese, spaghetti o's chicken noodle soup, tuna/chicken and crackers, chips, jerky oatmeal, and cold cereal. As for drinks they have juice boxes, milk, Gatorade, matcha, ect. No alcohol that I could see. The wharf is a 15 min walk or 3 min drive and they have seafood restaurants there. Across the street is Homestyle cafe for breakfast and lunch and you're a few min from downtown. This is a great location.

Bragg) is ridiculously expensive. We opted for an economic stay versus an expensive, luxury stay since we were going to spend very little time in our room. We stayed in room 319 on the second floor. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the harbor and highway 1. Be forewarned, this hotel is definitely outdated, but it had everything we needed: it was fairly quiet, had a comfy bed, good water pressure, and was clean! Since our room was closer to the highway, it was a bit noisy with the sliding glass door open, but was fine once it was closed. It didn't bother us at night. Your room will also not be turned in daily, but they give you plenty of towels and the garbage cans are big so it was fine for our stay. Overall, we we'e very satisfied and recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area.

They have their own private path to the beach and the private decks (and excellent vacation packages) are to die for! What hotel room gives you a private deck with two chairs, doesn't care if you smoke outside your room, includes a bottle of wine and tickets to the Mendo gardens? (if you get the right package, that is!) I will be returning to Cleone Gardens Inn time and time again. This is a really excellent spot to take a sweetheart. The beds are comfortable and extremely clean and I don't understand why people think the walls are thin, I didn't hear a thing during my stay and I definitely had neighbors. Don't let the low reviews turn you away! It's a bit rustic with beautiful wood decks and with dark, short-fiber carpets; and a bit flowery with bead spreads and borders, but overall it works. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. They had a lot of great ideas for dinner and things to see while there. The main reason I chose this place is because it is TRULY dog-friendly. Not just semi-dog-friendly... the real dog-friendly where they let the dogs up on the bed and the couch and give you bowls and towels and cookies for your dogs. The dog-friendly where they greet your dog before they greet you . . . the kind of place that makes me feel at home because that is how my own home truly is.
