The location is amazing with incredible views of the ocean. Whether you get a hotel room with a view or not, you are steps away from the ocean. You can soak in the views, walk along the rugged coastline, or walk down to the beach. If you walk or ride a bike a little over a mile to Otsuchi Point (a little past Glass Beach) you will have panoramic views that are breathtaking near sunset. I loved the large jacuzzi tub, sitting out on our private balcony and watching the waves and sunset, and it was very convenient to walk our dog along the old railroad path, which is flat and paved. There is a decent size fridge in the room and a microwave, which is nice. I got a good nights rest. The only downside I would say is that there is no breakfast due to Covid. There is also some street noise since it's near the road. All in all, it's a great hotel due to the location, ocean views, jacuzzi tub in some of the rooms, private balconies in some of the rooms, and that it's pet friendly. We will definitely be back!

We thought it was a saw, sounded like someone was doing renovations above our room. No 'continental' breakfast, just coffee pods and tea bags. Agree with Doreen B - rooms are shabby. Don't expect daily room service as that must now be a thing of the past. Rates don't reflect the lack of services or condition of the property. Location is fine. Not far out of town. Does have access to the beach - with a walk through a field and then a hike down a cliff. So if your up for that? There is a paved walk/bike path that runs behind the property and is heavily used. Don't expect privacy on your little deck - if you are lucky to face the ocean. Parking is slim, but there is a public parking lot right next door that you could walk over from. The staff is great. They are well aware of the properties shortcomings. Would I come back here again - no.

Mr. Marino, your vision for Noyo Harbor Inn shines through in every detail. The fact that it took six years to lovingly restore this historic property, working with local artisans and incorporating indigenous materials, speaks volumes about your respect for local history, culture, and the hardworking community that calls this beautiful place home. It is clear that this is far more than a business--it is a labor of love. Your impeccable taste, generosity, and attention to detail make every corner of the inn feel both elegant and deeply welcoming. From the soft robes and plush towels to thoughtful touches like slippers, earplugs, a Nespresso coffee machine, and complimentary water, every detail has been carefully considered. The rooms are beautiful, the views are unforgettable, and even the sounds of the working harbor and Coast Guard station become part of the unique charm and character of the experience. There truly is something here for everyone. The gazebo cigar lounge with its warm fire pit is a wonderful gathering place, whether or not you're a smoker. The whiskey program is remarkable--a book rather than a menu, with more than 100 selections and tasting flights for every level of enthusiast. While I'm not a whiskey connoisseur myself, I couldn't help but appreciate the uniqueness and passion behind such a thoughtfully curated experience. What makes Noyo Harbor Inn truly special, however, is its people. Your handpicked team of warm, genuine, and caring individuals makes every guest feel less like a visitor and more like a cherished friend. Their kindness, professionalism, and hospitality transform a wonderful stay into an unforgettable one. The Harbor View Bistro & Bar is equally exceptional. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere come together beautifully. Dining on the patio while overlooking the river is an experience in itself. The menu offers something for every palate--from creative appetizers and fresh seafood to hearty entrées, vegetarian options, and delicious desserts. Every meal felt special, and the warmth and friendliness of the serving team made each dining experience even more memorable. Noyo Harbor Inn is a hidden gem--one that perfectly reflects the spirit of Fort Bragg, a truly remarkable place filled with rich history, breathtaking natural beauty, and generations of hardworking people. Together, they create something rare and unforgettable. Thank you for giving us memories we will treasure for years to come. We are already planning our next trip, and a stay at Noyo Harbor Inn is without question at the heart of those plans. With gratitude and admiration, We can't wait to return.

The property itself is lovely and welcoming--especially with our dog. Staff have always been friendly and accommodating of pets, which we really appreciate. The restaurant (Harbor View Bistro & Bar / Tavern) is the real standout. We love the food, the ambiance, and the views over the harbor. It's consistently one of our favorite places to dine on the Mendocino coast. That said, the rooms are showing their age and are in need of a major refresh. On our most recent stay the bed was not comfortable, and the room overall needed a lot of TLC. Given the higher-end price point, we expected the accommodations to match the quality of the restaurant and the charming grounds. We still enjoy visiting and will likely return for the food and setting, but we'd love to see the rooms brought up to the same standard as the rest of the property.

When is "Free wifi" not free?…read more When it barely works at all... So my wife and I stayed in a pet suit, while our son was in the middle of the resort, and our daughter was at the south end. Nobody had wifi that worked well. You'd get maybe a minute or two connected, then offline. There's no AC, but the pet suite had a decent cross flow of air. The kids rooms however did not, just a small bathroom window near the front, and a sliding glass door near the back. Not really something you can securely leave open all night. The rooms themselves were clean and well maintained, offering a TV, a microwave and a mini fridge. Staff was very responsive, we called for extra towels and coffee, received them right away. Key cards seemed to be an issue for us and other guests. We had to return to the front desk several times due to non-functional cards. We saw several other guests return as well. Location is pretty nice. Right by the shore and at the south end of town. There's a handful of bikes for rent which is nice. Several places to eat well within biking distance, including a Denny's. The firepit area and BBQ's though, need to have some sort of reservation system. We had one family monopolizing one corner. All in all, a fair balance of positives and negatives except when you get to the price. You're paying on the high side, so you expect a little better. The pet room was fun though, our dog enjoyed having her own little spot to go in and out.

Oh...glad I checked, I thought I had booked this place, I had the screen shot but I never booked it? Just as well...I went online and booked the other hotel I had found on line and with the room I wanted. We were married last month and this was our honeymoon hotel. Restaurant walking distance across the bridge, assigned parking. A very nice room, large and yes a spa tub looking out over the Pacific. I am unsure if they have a pool or hot tub but they do have specific rooms for dog owners and even provide them with their own gift basket... which I have never experienced before. We called ahead to see if there was a restaurant on sight. There isn't one, but they have a sister restaurant that is about 3 min away that if you get their coupon you get 20% off. It's only 3.5 stars on Yelp so we passed and ate on our way. We were running late so that was really our only option to get lunch on our way to work. On the phone they asked us our arrive time and according to the gps it said 1hr and 12 minutes. She said she'll try to have our room ready as people were just checking out now. We arrived at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, May 4th 2026. To our amazement our room was ready, we weren't expecting that as we were so early. It was a blessing as I had to get to work in the room, we can work remotely sometimes. They also upgraded us to a room with a view. And it's a remarkable view of the ward and harbor. You can hear the sea lions, I believe barking at each other and many species of bird singing. There is a balcony with chairs you can sit out on too. The room has its own thermostat which keeps the room toasty warm on low and it's quiet. I can't recall what kind of unit it is but it's in the blood bad it quietly pushes hot air out. The room has a kireg type machine with sorted coffee, large mini fridge and freezer, and microwave. There is a desk and lounge chair and big screen tv with multiple channels. The shower/tub and toilet is separate from the vanity. The light to the tub/ toilet are is on the outside and the fan is extremely loud, so loud that it will wake up your mates who are in a deep slumber, so that's a minus. They have a ground floor that requires no steps and has a ramp that goes around to additional rooms. Other than that there are a lot of steps and no elevator that we've seen. So if you don't do stairs pick the ground floor and walk in on the lobby side. The lobby has all day tea, coffee, hot chocolate complimentary. They also have snacks and drinks for purchase: rice a Toni, Mac n cheese, spaghetti o's chicken noodle soup, tuna/chicken and crackers, chips, jerky oatmeal, and cold cereal. As for drinks they have juice boxes, milk, Gatorade, matcha, ect. No alcohol that I could see. The wharf is a 15 min walk or 3 min drive and they have seafood restaurants there. Across the street is Homestyle cafe for breakfast and lunch and you're a few min from downtown. This is a great location.

Bragg) is ridiculously expensive. We opted for an economic stay versus an expensive, luxury stay since we were going to spend very little time in our room. We stayed in room 319 on the second floor. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the harbor and highway 1. Be forewarned, this hotel is definitely outdated, but it had everything we needed: it was fairly quiet, had a comfy bed, good water pressure, and was clean! Since our room was closer to the highway, it was a bit noisy with the sliding glass door open, but was fine once it was closed. It didn't bother us at night. Your room will also not be turned in daily, but they give you plenty of towels and the garbage cans are big so it was fine for our stay. Overall, we we'e very satisfied and recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area.

I was a little hesitant to book a room here after reading really terrible reviews, but went ahead…read morewith a reservation anyway, because the price was right. Because... Let's be honest sometimes the budget IS a factor. I was looking for a hotel that only had one level, I didn't want to be above people listening to the noise they made underneath me, nor did I want to be beneath people to hear them stomping around all night. The price was right at this location and lucky for me, part of the property had one level rooms. I was told check-in was at 4pm however I didn't check in until a little after 10pm and found the person who checked us in to be very friendly and accommodating. Other reviews said the person that checked them in was rude and/or had an attitude however, I didn't experience that at all, quite the opposite. Also... Not sure if I got lucky but, I parked directly in front of my hotel door which was hugely convenient since the lot is "open" parking and FCFS. This check in was off to a great start! Upon checking into the room, (which I was very nervous about because previous reviews had some pretty scary looking photos), I was very surprised at the level of cleanliness that I found. I brought a black light flashlight to do a thorough check of the room and found it to be extremely clean. There was one questionable mark on the wall across from the bed, as well as something that glowed in the dark on the second bed sheet however, it was very small, and I ended up removing that sheet and not using it. The bathroom had zero items that illuminated under the black light. all of the towels were spotless (they were fluffy and the whitest white, which I completely welcomed) and the shower/toilet/sink, bathroom floor, the area around the toilet, EVERYTHING was spotless under the black light. I was over the moon with how spotless the room was. I even checked both headboards and nightstands and they were both spotless as well!! The room had blackout shades which I appreciated 100% because I like to sleep in until 9 and I like it dark! I'm literally like a vampire in the morning, and even the slightest bit of sunshine, pisses me off, lol. They do not offer toiletries however, there are stationary dispensers in the shower and the shower gel smells amazing. The room came with a tiny refrigerator with a tiny freezer in it which I was happy about because I used both the fridge and the freezer. It also had a microwave but no coffee maker. This was fine with me because I brought my own iced coffee, I travel prepared :) For all you yelpers that enjoy hotel coffee in your room, you'll have to go to the lobby to get it at this location. They do offer a very basic breakfast in the lobby as well but again, I brought my own food and didn't take advantage of the fruit or cereal and waffles for the guests. The beds were not right next to each other, one bed was in the front, the other in the back, which was almost like a 2nd room. Each room had their own ceiling fan above the bed. 2 beds, 2 fans. Love that! The only thing that was annoying, (which the hotel had no control over) were the guests leaving in the morning, slamming car doors, setting off car alarms, and yelling at each other from the room to their car. Rude!!! Just because they were up at 6 - 7am doesn't mean it's ok to wake up everybody in the hotel at those hours too. Idiots! Other than that, this hotel gets a solid 4 stars, I would definitely stay here again in the same upgraded room.

Left and came back, the rooms we were given was absolutely filthy. We literally said "we waited for it to be cleaned and still hasn't" the beds were rock hard and had 3 tops sheets as your comforter. I will upload pictures but our windows didn't lock, the window that faced the parking lot, its screen wasn't even fully on. The door had a huge crack in it so you could literally see outside. We never saw or heard from housekeeping the entire time. There was caked dust on the bed frames, chips and dirt and dust around our beds, someone's left over spray bottle of something, the list goes on. As someone who worked in the hospitality industry, I was absolutely appalled by how digesting the room was.
