The rooms are quite old and worn. Breakfast is literally just cereal. But every channel was in Spanish call front desk. They did nothing about it on a Saturday night $187.45 for the room.

I got a room for $79 out the door, midweek after Labor day. That's darn good for Fort Bragg! I arrived, and the clerk, who I believe was also the owner, was very friendly. He checked me in, and told me where my room was. It is an older motel, but it's obvious that it has been renovated. My room, including the bathroom, was spotless The TV had a good picture. I was worried that my WiFi might not work well, because I was about as far from the office that I could be. I've had that problem before at other older motels, , but it worked great, with speed fast enough to stream video. I did not hear any noise whatsoever, There was, also a desk so I could work on my laptop, plenty of plugs to charge my gear, and even a "charge plate" built into the desk. If your phone is compatible, just lay it on top of the charge plate, and it will charge your phone. The motel has a snack and soda machine near the lobby. (when I was there, it didn't have any diet soda, only water.) It also has a guest laundry available. Breakfast was Hot/cold cereal, fruit, toast, pastries, juice, coffee, and hot chocolate. It was fine for me. If you want something else, there are places from Mickey D's, to Denny's, and on up the line in town. 2 minor details that aren't worth taking off a star. I was going to make a pot of coffee, but when I opened the machine, there were 3 used coffee pouches inside. Please make sure that the machine is cleaned. Also, on the bed, it was just a little firm for my personal taste, but I still got a good night's sleep. I would stay here again without hesitation. Thanks!!!

condition of the power plug for the hair dryer in our room.

Terrible customer service. We were there on-time for our 4pm check-in, and the room had not been cleaned yet. When we brought this to the attention of the person working their front desk, they said there is nothing they can do and did not know how to change our room. We had to wait another 50 minutes for the room to be prepared for us.

Late night Taco Bell in the gazebo after the Glen Blair Bar train run.

Yeah pretty good. Nicely cared for. Secrets: - EV Charging, they have 110 and 220 Nema 14-50 plugs you can use for free, but you need to bring your own cable. And there's only 1 of each, so someone else might be using it. - Dog friendly (extra $20) with Fenced in dog run. - Lots of Solar panels if you're into that. - Quiet. - AC/Heat worked great. - Wifi Was good. - No Resort Fee. - Fish cleaning area if you're into that. - Only give you 3 pillows, ask for more

BED BUGS!! they moved me to a second room and saw exoskeletons there as well. They refused to refund my stay.

Lovely gardens greet you as you enter the property. This is an older property, but they have updated the rooms. I love the light/reading light/plug/usb ports on each side of the bed and at the desk -- very handy. And they have things that are handy for hotels including refrigerator and small freezer and microwave. They upgraded the bath area as well with granite counter, new fixtures and nice wood framed mirror and also a spacious walk in shower. As mentioned before they have a central garden area with gazebo -- for picnics maybe. The price was reasonable for California. Don't forget to use your AAA card to get bonuses. I got a king bed for the price of a Queen with my AAA card. Breakfast was just coffee, pastries and bananas -- nothing fancy. I did ask for extra towels and pillows and they said ok if I came to get them. That was ok because the office is close to all rooms. I did like that all the rooms are one story, so no stairs. And we could park right in front of our room.

This motel is not bad for what it is. Simple accommodations for a quick little stay. Its a motel so the room was clean but like most motels, the accommodations are noticeably worn. The bathroom was the best remodel of a motel bathroom Iven seen. Someone really put some thought into the bathrooms and they were great. One of the main reasons we stayed here was because they take dogs at a reasonable price. This motel is very dog friendly. They have a perfectly sized little dog park outside to run your dog around. Plenty of open areas to take walks as well. Distance from the wharf area is perfect. Its just a quick drive down the road to food and shops. I would really recommend a stop here for a simple stay. Especially if you have a dog with you.

Smoke detector had low battery and kept beeping.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but these rooms were completely unacceptable. Two words: bed bug. We arrived and were given the wrong room, which is no big deal. After settling in we noticed the smoke detector was not mounted and the battery was low. The shower also looked dirty. The real issue started when I tried going to sleep. My forearm got itchy and I noticed a small bite. Concerned, I looked at the sheets closely and found what appeared to be a bed bug. To make matters worse, I found a bunch of webs under the bed frame. We asked for a new room and the new room had hair in the sheets and a piece of someone's nail. It didn't seem like they washed their sheets at all to be honest. Worst experience I've ever had at a motel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The space was great for families. I liked the separate bedroom. The beds were comfortable and clean as were towels. The kitchen adequately stocked. The grounds were nice. That said, it was filthy. Spider webs, gnats on ceiling, greasy spoon rest. The carpets was vile. Clean pillows on the closet floor. Missing light fixtures. Patches on bathroom wall not painted. Recliner won't recline. Back missing on remote. The blinds were disgusting. I have included pictures.

    Ashley L.

False advertising. The pictures make it look like there are available kitchen facilities and there are not. The room was disgusting. The carpet was sticky and the bathroom had blood on the door frame.... As soon as you pull in. You see piles of junk as if it were someone's front yard. Honestly it looks like a flop house. I brought my family here for a wedding weekend.....we stayed for a total of 30 mins before hightailing it out of there. I would not recommend it. The pictures are deceiving. The staff was accommodating however, and they gave us our money back.

Clean and cute for a decent price. Very surprised at how nice this was after a week of staying at dirty chain motels. Will definitely stay again.

We needed a place stay with our dog. It was next door to a grocery store and a McDonald's, had vacancies and a place to do our laundry. It's an older motel with some wear and tear, but the off leash dog run was a huge plus.

Awful experience. Unclean, used sheets with hairs, unclean baths with hairs, garbage behind furniture. No satisfaction or concern from mgmt. Please stay elsewhere.

She made sure our room was ready for us, gave us a discount coupon for a nearby restaurant, and handed us a list of local places to check out, which was so helpful after a long day of driving. Everything was thought out in advance, and we really appreciated that level of care. The room itself was nice, and the ocean view from the balcony was lovely. The location is great, and the property definitely has that classic coastal Fort Bragg vibe. That said, for nearly $300 a night, there were a couple of misses. The shampoo bottle mounted in the shower was empty, which was disappointing -- especially at that price. Thankfully, I had brought my own. It was also pretty noisy early in the morning, with doors slamming throughout the building, which made it hard to get solid rest. Because of those things, I'm taking off one star. Even so, I genuinely liked the place and would consider staying again. Huge shout-out to Cody for going above and beyond -- her kindness and professionalism really made the stay better. @wegotschwag on tik tok

The location is amazing with incredible views of the ocean. Whether you get a hotel room with a view or not, you are steps away from the ocean. You can soak in the views, walk along the rugged coastline, or walk down to the beach. If you walk or ride a bike a little over a mile to Otsuchi Point (a little past Glass Beach) you will have panoramic views that are breathtaking near sunset. I loved the large jacuzzi tub, sitting out on our private balcony and watching the waves and sunset, and it was very convenient to walk our dog along the old railroad path, which is flat and paved. There is a decent size fridge in the room and a microwave, which is nice. I got a good nights rest. The only downside I would say is that there is no breakfast due to Covid. There is also some street noise since it's near the road. All in all, it's a great hotel due to the location, ocean views, jacuzzi tub in some of the rooms, private balconies in some of the rooms, and that it's pet friendly. We will definitely be back!

We thought it was a saw, sounded like someone was doing renovations above our room. No 'continental' breakfast, just coffee pods and tea bags. Agree with Doreen B - rooms are shabby. Don't expect daily room service as that must now be a thing of the past. Rates don't reflect the lack of services or condition of the property. Location is fine. Not far out of town. Does have access to the beach - with a walk through a field and then a hike down a cliff. So if your up for that? There is a paved walk/bike path that runs behind the property and is heavily used. Don't expect privacy on your little deck - if you are lucky to face the ocean. Parking is slim, but there is a public parking lot right next door that you could walk over from. The staff is great. They are well aware of the properties shortcomings. Would I come back here again - no.

It's only 3.5 stars on Yelp so we passed and ate on our way. We were running late so that was really our only option to get lunch on our way to work. On the phone they asked us our arrive time and according to the gps it said 1hr and 12 minutes. She said she'll try to have our room ready as people were just checking out now. We arrived at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, May 4th 2026. To our amazement our room was ready, we weren't expecting that as we were so early. It was a blessing as I had to get to work in the room, we can work remotely sometimes. They also upgraded us to a room with a view. And it's a remarkable view of the ward and harbor. You can hear the sea lions, I believe barking at each other and many species of bird singing. There is a balcony with chairs you can sit out on too. The room has its own thermostat which keeps the room toasty warm on low and it's quiet. I can't recall what kind of unit it is but it's in the blood bad it quietly pushes hot air out. The shower/tub and toilet is separate from the vanity. The light to the tub/ toilet are is on the outside and the fan is extremely loud, so loud that it will wake up your mates who are in a deep slumber, so that's a minus. They have a ground floor that requires no steps and has a ramp that goes around to additional rooms. Other than that there are a lot of steps and no elevator that we've seen. They also have snacks and drinks for purchase: rice a Toni, Mac n cheese, spaghetti o's chicken noodle soup, tuna/chicken and crackers, chips, jerky oatmeal, and cold cereal. As for drinks they have juice boxes, milk, Gatorade, matcha, ect. No alcohol that I could see. The wharf is a 15 min walk or 3 min drive and they have seafood restaurants there.
