Poor Customer Service and an Ineffective Check-In Process I have visited this Men's Wearhouse location as a walk-in customer at least four or five times. On my most recent visit, I stood at the counter for approximately 30 minutes without a single employee greeting me, acknowledging me, or asking whether I had been helped. After waiting all that time, I discovered that customers were expected to check in by scanning a QR code and that employees were working from a customer list on an iPad. I had no idea this was the procedure. There was a sign approximately five feet inside the entrance containing the QR code, but it blended in with the other signage and looked like an ordinary advertisement rather than a required customer check-in system. I walked past it without realizing its significance. Yes, I accept responsibility for not noticing and identifying the QR-code sign. However, that does not excuse 30 minutes of being completely ignored by the employees. A QR code should assist with customer service--not replace it. When someone walks into a retail store, stands at the service counter, and waits for assistance, employees should acknowledge that person. A simple, "Welcome to Men's Wearhouse. Have you checked in using the QR code?" would have resolved the entire situation in less than 10 seconds. Instead, employees continued working from their iPad list while I waited, apparently assuming that anyone not appearing on the list did not require assistance. Customers are not mind readers. If Men's Wearhouse requires customers to follow a specific check-in procedure before receiving service, it is the store's responsibility to make that procedure unmistakably clear and for employees to ensure that customers entering the store understand it. I should not have to understand an internal customer-management system before an employee will even acknowledge my presence. After being a customer at this location multiple times, I find it extremely disappointing that basic customer service has been reduced to watching an iPad while a customer can stand at the counter for 30 minutes without so much as a greeting. Men's Wearhouse should either improve the visibility of its check-in instructions or, more importantly, reinforce with its employees that technology does not eliminate the responsibility to greet, acknowledge, and assist the customers standing directly in front of them. read more

We walked in, wasn't busy at all. I saw 3 employees, now a single person acknowledged us. We were there for a good 15-20mins browsing, and hoping for some help into finding the right sizes. Nobody came by, nobody helped us. We left, unfortunately for them because we were looking into buying 4 suites. read more

Called ahead to confirm sizing would be free since I was considering renting. I was told yes. Drove 45 minutes to this location, waited about an hour, got fully measured, and selected everything. During the fitting, the suit jacket was extremely tight in the shoulders--to the point where I struggled to move my arms, tie my shoes, or function normally. I was told not to worry about those movements in the jacket, which is concerning. That alone made me reconsider moving forward with a rental, as the fit was not on par with my previous experiences. At the end, I asked for my measurements and was told their system "wasn't working" and that they would need to redo the entire process (another hour) unless I paid $20. When I raised the issue, the manager came out and stated I had been informed of a fee. That is incorrect. Both my fiancée and I were present for the call and were told it would be free. The manager claimed to have "confirmed" with the employee but did not verify the actual call. Then said they don't have to redo the entire process and why would I think that? I said your employee just told me that to which she replied it was a miscommunication (again). Instead of resolving the discrepancy, he chose to dismiss the situation and double down. Additionally, there were loose needles on the floor in the store. That is a basic safety hazard and should not be present in a retail environment. This experience involved over an hour in-store after a 45-minute drive, followed by a refusal to honor what was communicated beforehand. Between the poor fit, miscommunication, and management response, I ultimately left without moving forward. I would recommend that corporate review call handling, in-store communication practices, fitting standards, and safety conditions at this location. read more

We are having a wedding in 2 months. My husband's groomsmen were sent invitations to get their suits from men's wearhouse. I brought 2 of the groomsmen to this location while we were in town to get fitted for their suits. No acknowledgment when we walked in. I stood in line for 10 minutes before I'm assuming the manager told us to scan the QR code at the door. We walked over to the door to get it scanned, continued to wait. The man that walked in after us was helped before we were, he was not told to scan a QR code to get on a wait list. No organization or consideration for others fine here clearly. Not sure why someone else would be helped find a vest when we were waiting to be helped and should have been helped first. Workers were short, rude and not helpful at all. 0/10 stars. I'm actually considering canceling the entire reservation and finding a different suit store for the men in our wedding. read more

Men's wear house has always been a reliable place to get a tux and they make it pretty easy. Our recent trip here was for a tux for my son, the folks here really know how to get him into the right thing. They definitely take their time to work with the person to ensure they are going to be happy. I always tent to shop around during the process and pretty reliably end up finding a deal too! I live in Oviedo, so I drive a bit out of my way to get here, but it is worth it. The parking lot is a little small - so if you try to go here during Prom or Homecoming season - it can get busy, but otherwise usually a pleasant experience. read more

I was number 5 in line when I arrived and received txt messages every 15 minutes, but the employees showed zero urgency and seemed to be pleased when people stormed out in frustration. I believe the salesperson's name was Cheryl/Sheryl, a knowledgeable older woman with a keen eye for style. We wanted something conservative yet nonthreatening so she found a handsome dark blue suit, and paired it with 2 different dress shirts and ties. He's a little bit on the short & stocky side so some alterations were needed for a perfect fit. Would you believe they got it done overnight! I was wonderfully surprised and pleased. What great service. Perfection is a little pricey ($400. total) but a great suit lasts a long time so it's worth the investment. read more

We were fitted for suits which went great. Pickup was fine and then at drop off they informed us of a late fee. When we asked about considering the situation and that it was a few hours after, the employee went and got his manager. Manager came back and was super rude and didn't even want to make eye contact as he got super snippy and rude and refused to acknowledge what I was asking him. My husband decided to purchase his suit for our wedding here. The quality was very nice and was able to get it in time since we bought it last minute. They were able to tailor the suit to him so that it fit him very nicely. When we went to pick it up, he tried it on and the pants were too short. Waited about 30 minutes for them to lengthen it, so not too long. My father in law had to come pick his suit up on another day because his shirt was too big and pants too short. Once everything fit as they should they looked good. And they have a suit to wear for any other occasion where they might need one. read more

We went back several times just to see Brian because he was so helpful in putting together the final look. He helped us pair a pocket square with our ties and even showed us how to do all the different knots in a tie. I wasn't very impressed with this location. When we arrived we were told to sign into a tux rental chart. I noticed there were customers not wearing masks and that the employees weren't wearing gloves to handle the clothes. When I went to David bridal there was a strict mask policy and only employees could handle the clothes with gloves on. You weren't allowed to just freely roam the store. After waiting 30 minutes we started to get frustrated cause nobody was helping us and we saw 1-2 employees standing around. We finally asked how long the wait was going to be and was quoted 1.5 hours. I guess the staff we saw standing around don't handle tux rentals. They told us we should've called in to make an appointment. Funny enough I tried to call in before driving over but the machine was just a robot repeating itself. Finally an employee tried to be helpful and offered to schedule us for an appointment on a different day. While the staff had masks on I am not sure why they were allowing customers to come inside without a mask. It is evident this store is understaffed for the amount of customers they are getting. I feel bad for the employees who are being swarmed with customers yet don't have a large enough team to help them out. read more

Out again today and stopped by before Noon on a Saturday and appeared slightly less busy. Found the signup list today on the right side of the store before the service desks. After a short wait got measured and fitted professionally by Nathan. He was very personable and made sure he had all the details covered for my rental. I've visited this location to get fitted for a tuxedo for my son's wedding. We arrived at the appointed time. We were instructed to go to the back of the store where young lady was already expecting us. Some of the bridal party had already arrived, and we're getting their information across. before we knew it we had a whole team of associates helping her out. The visit was very pleasant, very friendly, and everyone was very, very kind. I wandered off in the store looking at shoes, and was promptly greeted by another associate, very willing to assist. I just wanted to express my extreme disappointment with our wedding rentals. First off, there were several issues with the best man's tux. The 3'rd issue we were told would be fixed between 11:00-3:00. On the day of the wedding. Knowing full well the ceremony started at 4:00. When the bride to be called and spoke with the manager, he was very rude. And then hung up on her. Completely unacceptable behavior for a so called manager. In total we had 7 rentals. The there were issues with 4 of them. Including myself, step father, the father of the bride and other groomsmen. So I ask you, what's your slogan?? We did in fact like the look. But the issues with size and buttons falling off , we're all pretty upset. This is what you guys do!!! I'm at a loss for words with how it was handled. But don't worry, we somehow figured it out. just now I bought 2 suits from this location. Before this last experience they would have gotten 5 stars from me. So my wife and I come in almost 2 weeks ago to have the first suit I bought here altered. I lost weight so that's why we came in. Everything goes good they tell us it would be done by 16th. I come in today the 16th around 12pm to pick up my suit. I'm told my suit won't be done until around 6pm. Are you serious????? The day in do to pick it up, you've had it for almost 2 weeks and now your working on it??? I'm pissed so I tell them my wife will pick it up on the way home. She calls around 4pm and is told it won't be done until 8pm. Mens Warehouse..... You just lost our businesses!!! All she got was I'm sorry we have had a lot of funerals and weddings lately. I went to Men's Wearhouse to a have my husband measured for a tuxedo, the one on Sahara, the guy that measured him measured him all wrong when he got to Florida to pick up his tuxedo it was for a guy who was 5 foot nine and my husband is 6'6. It was the day of the wedding and it was an awful situation that they put us in. They did give him another pair of pants in Florida but they were way too big for him and still too short. I will never use them again. That was a bad mistake on Men's Wearhouse sales guy that measured my husband extremely wrong. Shame on him they put us in a very embarrassing situation. We had a wedding on Saturday April 28th and I had a bow tie that needed to be tied. After searching the internet and with no success I decided to stop in. Paul the manager was kind and very friendly. He took me through how to tie it and ensured that it was beautifully tied. He didn't mind that we were not buying anything but his kindness and willingness to help made me realize that kind of customer service will make me go back for other clothing needs. Went today to the Altamonte Location to get some ideas about a suit for my wedding. As a member of the LGBTQ + community I felt like I was the weirdest thing they ever seen. They looked confused like they didn't understand why a girl is trying to get a men's suit. They were so unprofessional, rude and I felt so discriminated against. You were led to believe that they worked with women as well,but that's not the way that the staff made me feel. They brought me a suit jacket and it was so boxy with no shape and then said thats the way mens suit are and left it at that. So we decided to take our business elsewhere. I needed a suit for a wedding and thought that men's warehouse would be the place to go. I walked in on a Sunday morning a few minutes past 11 and was the only customer there at the time. I was met by John, a tall big gentleman who asked me what I needed. I told him about the commercial for $199 suits I saw and his attitude completely shifted from getting me into a suit to out of the store. He became condescending and short with his answers and was overall rude. I have never felt so unworthy and small in a store before this morning. I will never go back to a store like this. This store is awful. The staff used to be very friendly, but recently they all seem to have a bad attitude and treat you like you're not going to spend any money in the store. I had a fitting here a couple of months ago for my wedding. The fitting and tux selection process was easy and super helpful. I came in again today with one of my groomsmen and we had so many questions in regards to the fitting now that we are getting closer to the wedding. Jayson was a great help! My friend was a bit of a challenge and needed to retry a couple of fits and Jayson seemed genuinely interested in making sure my friend was happy with his fitting. When we left, my friend was finally relieved to know that he will be attending my special event with the fit he will he absolutely happy with. We got all our suits done here for our wedding and there was one more tie we needed. We called and they didn't have it in store so we ordered it online rush delivery. Several days go by and nothing so we call again and surprise the order had been inexplicably cancelled. Now we order the tie again again with rush shipping coming from a store in Tampa. Surprise surprise another failure with men's Wearhouse as the tie never left the store. We are now 4 days from the wedding short a groomsman tie and they don't seem to even care. Huge mistake trusting such an important day with such an incompetent staff. read more
