The initial fitting was cool. The guys here fitted my son and I for our tuxes and helped us pick out a style that would match my wedding colors. They were friendly and we were done in about 40 minutes. What I didn't like was that the pick up date for the suits was 2 days before the wedding. Not only does that leave little time for mistakes, but why would I just be trying on my suit 2 days prior to my wedding? Why not have the suits a couple of weeks in advance, that way theres no rush, and no added stress to an already stressful time. They sent me a email saying that my tux was ready (no call, ever). I had to be in by 3 pm the next day to try on the tuxedo for anything wrong. Which was thursday and the last day of the week they will alter anything. I couldn't make it by 3 so I had to come the following day, and hope that everything fit. I had lost 25 pounds from the time of the initial fitting, and my tux was really tight. The associate said it looked great, but it pulled on me with every move. At this point i'm just to tired to argue, and i'm excited, but i'm ready for everything to be done with. The associate insists that he packs the tux back up for my son and i. He also gives me the suit for my best man. I walk out with 3 suits in hand, and when I open up my bag the next morning I have no shoes. I folded the pants after trying them on, and left it on the bench in the fitting room. Right next to the pants I put the shoes (size 16), which are very hard to miss. My ceremony starts at 1130. Their store opens at 10:30 and I couldn't get everything set up because I had to wait for them to open to go get my shoes. The associate said he had found them the day before, but nobody questioned why there was a pair of shoes left behind in the fitting room. I'm almost certain if they took the time to look into who left a brown size 16, somebody would've remembered. Its about 1045 when I get the shoes, and my venue was 30 minutes away in Pasadena. Needless to say our event ran behind schedule, and we had to cut things short to end on time. Then after having such a big day, you're required to bring the tux back the day right after the event. I bet they make a killing on late fees. I just had the biggest party of my life, and barely slept a wink, but I can't forget for 1 moment to bring the rented tux back the next day. They should give you at least a week. I mean whats the rush? I don't think I would rent another suit from this location. It's not my first rodeo with this company, and i've never had these issues. I walked in 15 minutes ago. No one from the staff acknowledged or greeted me. I looked for dress shirts in my size and found 1 but I had that color. Still no one came over or asked if I needed assistance and as I was leaving a staff member greeted the customer walking in as he walked right past me. I frequently buy from MW online but wanted to buy some dress shirts on the spot. Not today. read more

My husband recently purchase a suit and paid over $500 and when he went to pick up he was handed the suit to leave until he asked for something to cover due to the rain. He was then given plastic as if he had picked it up from the cleaners. I feel the business should invest in some sort of a better garment bag for a suit. I have to compliment the staff when he purchased who provided outstanding service. read more

I was helped by an extremely professional young salesman named Zack. I walked in knowing "I want a tux" and walked out happily ordering custom. He explained all the options, with no extra pressure but a lot of advice. I definitely appreciate this experience and am waiting anxiously to pick up my finished tux. read more

Went to store in early April, 2018. Ordered tux to rent for Son's Prom on Saturday 5/12. Took hour to measure son and get him properly fitted for tux. Rental fee was $169. Went to pick it up Friday 5/11. Son tried on tux and shirt. Shirt was way too large. Tux was way to small in size and short in sleeves and pant length. Assistant manager (a woman) basically said "I'm sorry". And DID NOT OFFER TO HELP FIX THE SITUATION!! Her unprofessional response was rude and irresponsible. My son's prom was the next day. I asked to speak to the manager, and she said that she and a man were the only assistant managers on site. There was NO TIME for my son to get a new tux for his prom. Why even bother measuring if they couldn't do it right, or didn't have a couple of other options available. They could have called another store or ??? Try something. Not just say Sorry - basically too bad so sad. Luckily my son had a new black suit that he could wear, but not the same as wearing a tux to his prom. MORAL: POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF, NEED TO LEARN HOW TO MEASURE AND ORDER PROPERLY. STAY AWAY!!! RENT ELSEWHERE. AND $169 IS NOT CHEAP! read more

This is not a review of the Gambrills Men's Wearhouse in terms of their service to me in-house. That was perfectly fine and professional. This deals with the company's inability to follow directions. I went in early August to get fitted for a suit for my best friend's wedding and was charged $210.01 for it. Here's the problem. My best friend was paying for all the suits, and he had already paid a $40 deposit for each of us, meaning we should not have been charged at all, and if for some random reason we were, we should have only been charged $170.01. It has been more than two weeks and we all are still dealing with this. He had to make a phone call to the company on the first hour of his honeymoon asking what happened. He was told that we would each have the charges taken off our credit cards and, as of the morning of 9/17/18, we each still have a $210.01 charge on our respective credit cards. This equates to flat out theft. This place is a joke. read more

Had to rent a tuxedo recently because my son was in a wedding. The staff was very helpful and professional through the whole process and ensured that the tuxedo would be sent out of state for the wedding. Everything fit beautifully! Would definitely recommend these guys. read more

My husband, who hates to shop, needed a new suit for an event in June 2013. We went to the Men's Wearhouse in Gambrills thinking we'd spend about $500. When we walked out we'd spent almost $1200 and frankly didn't know what hit us. It's a very intimidating experience with several sales people accosting you with items you "just must have" to go with these suits. Our big mistake was agreeing to the foolish "buy one get one free" ploy, when the price of the original suit is so jacked up that the price of 2 suits is way beyond what we wanted to spend. I had let it go until today when my poor husband went back to take advantage of the "free alterations for life" we were promised when we purchased the suits. As usual it was a terrible experience. Turns out the free alterations only apply to "seems they have touched" -- whatever that means. His free alterations cost us ANOTHER $76. Must admit it's a good selling tool because we figured that feature alone helped account for the cost. Fortunately for them we needed the suit quickly but this is definitely the last time they get a penny out of us. Buyer beware! read more

Stay away from this location! The kid working the tuxedo rental counter is just plain awful. He helped us on our second visit to update a group tuxedo rental and when we asked for input on what our friend officiating should go with, he had no real suggestions. A salesman is supposed to give recommendations and have guidance but the kid was no help whatsoever. Then when we had him change some colors he reset the delivery locations so that all of tuxes went to that store without us knowing until days before the wedding! I've wasted a lot of time with the online chat getting tuxes sent out to the right places. On top of all of that, I was told the $40 deposit that I placed when we originally created the group rental would be refunded when I picked up my tux because I was getting a free rental. The same kid helped us when we picked up tuxes and said it was a fee for setting up the group and that I wouldn't get it back period and a manager wasn't on duty to clear anything up. It took another online chat with employees that actually know their company's policies to learn that I should have been refunded the $40 when I picked up the tux. With only days to go before the wedding this kid has caused an incredible amount of stress and is probably screwing over other customers too by not knowing store policies.
