I bought my son a tux for his first dance in his freshman year. Being a single parent I felt it would be more cost effective to buy a tux once vs rent one every year for dances. They altered it to fit him perfectly. He wore the tux all through high school and we just changed the shirt color to match the girl's dress. Plus, he even wore the tux at his wedding as well. By the way, he is now 41 years old, so this was many years ago and I only paid $99 at the time. So I believe that I got my money's worth out of it. Not cancel paid orders! My son's prom order was canceled for no reason. I feel it was intentionally done. We never received a cancel order text or email. It sent text ms saying our order was there and we could pick it up at anytime. The prom is Friday!!! FRIDAY!! We get there and no order is there. Anthony Welch could not find our order. After being there for OVER an hour we were told our order was canceled by the lady who did our order named Joyce. Horrible!! Now we're scrambling to get his tux and all of that stuff in a hurry. When we started early ordering his tux and thinking everything was done. I don't like rushing and that's why we did this early with no stress I thought no stress until we got there to pick up the order. I'll never recommend Men's Wearhouse out to anyone. Then all we were told was that we can reorder it. I just wanted my money back and to get out of that store as fast as I could. 10/17/22: Juan was great during my initial visit. He helped me select a tux and made sure that the measurements were accurate. He explained the rental notification process and when the tux was to be returned. I received an email that the tux was ready for fitting, and no additional modifications were required. Joyce was great in helping me in and out of the jacket, and she was very friendly. The service here was horrible. I was shopping for a suit because my fiancé and I had a nice dinner planned for that night. I couldn't get anyone to help me, and when I did he didn't give me the hands on time I needed to make a selection. It wasn't a busy day which would be a good excuse most times but me and my fiancé were the only ones in the store shopping until a white family came in looking for some options for a wedding. Shopped at other Men's Wearhouses before and was unimpressed by the service. However, this location in Garland was fantastic. I flew into Dallas for a wedding and had my luggage stolen. Tony was godsend, recommending me a great suit while ensuring I timed it right to get the best price. I needed a last minute tailor due to my luggage getting stolen and he helped me get it tailored with a 1 day turn around. When checking out he pressed the just purchased shirts complimentary to make sure they were in good condition for the wedding. His above and beyond service has made me a MWH customer, at least at this location! read more

Something more luxury I thought, but the moment we looked around I realized the price range was far too high for me and my boyfriend thought so too. I just had the most embarrassing experience at this place , the employee Terry Mackaban is the worst , he made me feel fat when trying out clothes and even took me out of the dressing room when I was trying some other shirts I liked . This is my regular Men's Wearhouse -- I've spent thousands of dollars here. So, that should give you an indication -- I like this store. The staff make you feel like the most important customer in the world. In a recent visit, they were having a 50% off sale on almost everything, and so the store was very busy. Even so, I never felt neglected. The sales associate helping me was also helping two other customers seamlessly -- I didn't feel my service was being compromised. The only criticism I might have is that they never let you pick what you want and leave you alone -- they usually at least lightly pressure you to try to get the matching socks/shoes/tie/shirt/all of the above. I'm sure that's required of them, so I have no problem saying no, and moving on. They never pressure you beyond that. I have never had any issue with this store. The staff is friendly, the selection is great, and I leave there "liking the way I look." read more

First of all let me start off by saying that I'd rather have a root canal than go clothes shopping with my overly picky husband. He had to promise me cocktails after to get me to go tuxedo shopping with him. We walked in and Jeff Orozco IMMEDIATELY greeted us. We told him what we were looking for and he was off in a flash. Within 45 minutes we had a complete tuxedo (tux, pocket silk, bow tie, studd set, shoes, and suspenders) - AND - this included getting altering/tailoring measurements on the pants by the fabulous Mr. Charles. Plus Jeff took it upon himself to personally iron and fold the pocket silk into the most beautiful and unique flower design we had ever seen. We really appreciated that! I recently walked in, to get one of my suits pressed, because they cannot send day. I walked around, and noticed a couple other designs of the same suit that I wear, and decided to pick one up. I was hesitant at first, because the color wasn't exactly what I wanted, but it was close enough, and I knew I could swing it. Went through all the measurements, grabbed a shirt, and a nice pair of shoes. It was my birthday the following week, and I was told they could have it ready for the same day, at three in the afternoon. I called prior to arriving today, just to make sure it was ready, and they said that it was. I got off of work, and I drove on over to the location to pick it up. Upon walking in, I tried on the suit, and it didn't fit. It was extremely tight, there was still pins in the fabric, and markings on the fabric. They didn't even finish it. I was supposed to wear that suit tonight, for a birthday dinner, with family who I come in to town. Luckily I have a back up, but I asked them if they could fix it, and they started immediately. After about 15 minutes, they said it will take a little while, and they were closing in less than 30 minutes. I didn't have time to wait, so I grabbed my trousers, walk to the back and handed it to one of the managers and said in a low voice, I have to go, if you guys can just take care of this I will come back some other time to pick it up. I just don't have time tonight. As I'm walking away, he said to me, how about you come back here, and we act like adults. I turned 30 years old today, I'm not a child, I don't deserve to be spoken to that way, especially when I'm walking into a business, to spend my money. It was extremely disrespectful, immediately, I turned and looked at him and I told him to watch his mouth. I said, there is no way to speak to a customer, when I am being extremely polite, and giving you another chance to fix your mistake. He then told me that I was yelling, and which if I were to ask any of the customer standing in the front, none of them would say that they could hear me. At this point I was furious, I just wanted to get the hell out of there, and never return. Of all days, my birthday, I decide to purchase a suit, and then be belittled, and disrespected in a place, where I spend a lot of money to get tailored suit's. After walking outside, I decided I would contact corporate, but I wanted to grab my suit and take it elsewhere. The cool thing about Men's Wearhouse, is they offer lifetime tailoring, and lifetime pressing. I spoke to the manager upfront, and I explained my concern about the manager in the back room. I politely asked him to grab my suit, and he offered to help me finish it and try it on, to which point I told him absolutely not and I will never return to this Men's Wearhouse. If you do decide to go here, ask for Tony. And stay away from Juan. Tony knows exactly what you want, and though the Tayler who originally tailored my suit was not there tonight, the other Tayler was more than happy to help. He was also the master Taylor, but unfortunately even then he couldn't get it done in time. read more

He wanted to go alone to get the suits to surprise me burn when he called saying the employee was telling him we couldn't get grey suits, he came and got me some could see what was going on. Unless they plan to pay our tab, we can get whatever the hell we want! I get there and some high school aged punk starts in telling me what matches and what doesn't. I'm not here for style lessons, buddy. There's only one kind of grey suit here for rent and I feel like it was overpriced. We went back later to claim my husbands free suit, so to speak. They pretty much pulled one off the rack and had him try it on, marked up the ass with chalk then charged for alterations. I think he would have liked to try some different styles but since it was the free suit, he didn't get the attention of a regular customer. read more

This is the most awkward suit shop I've ever walked into. To begin- this place charged me $150 to rent a standard tux for one night, and that includes a $30 "coupon." give me a break, Al's formal wear was $80. Next, the lady that took my measurements tried to sell me on EVERYTHING!! Lastly, the girl writing the measurements down looked like she was about to go postal. My son rented a suit for prom from this location and on his way to prom was involved in an accident. He was thrown from the car and landed in the road going 45mph. He was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries. Needless to say the suit was destroyed! The next day I left my child to return the suit. I asked to speak to the manager upon arrival. The store manager Juan Brown upon hearing my story was so moved with compassion that he asked if he could give me a hug. Not only was I overwhelmed by the actions of this company, but so gracious when they told me they would not charge me for the damages to the suit! The manager called me personally to tell me! I went in to buy three suits, 1 men's and 2 children's for a wedding. Peter, the salesman lost all interest in us when I advised my budget was a bit lower than the three $500 suits he presented. He actually walked away. When attempting to check out the boys "special" for a complete suit with the female rep in the tuxedo area, she was completely clueless and had to go find peter again which was in vain!
