Adopted an adorable kitten for $75. Lady claimed she would send health record to me in the mail. Never received it after NUMEROUS attempts. She kept saying "it's in the mail." Vet wanted me to wait for the record so they would know which shots to give her and when. After a week or so it was evident that the kitten had a serious illness. The second I started talking with them it was obvious how much they love what they do, and it's not an easy job they have. They're doing hard work taking care of the animals that really need it, which can sometimes be a thankless task. All the staff I have talked to were incredibly knowledgeable. paid a $200 fee which did not include anything it turned out when we went to our vet. kitten had feline coronavirus and the vet said there is no way that meoowz didn't know about it - tiny little cat with a huge bloated stomach. the girl said that she just fed the kitten and it was why the stomach was so big, while that evil piece of human sh&%! smiled at my 6 year old, knowing the cat would have to be put down. I recently adopted my Juliet from Meoowz and have nothing but accolades for this organization. Juliet had apparently been hit by a car and had to have surgery on her hip. She is the sweetest cat I have ever had in my life and I'm thankful to Meoowz for rescuing her and providing such excellent vet care for her. This rescue is really great. I adopted a gorgeous 4 month old cat for Christmas. I had the kitty for a week, but my Chihuahua kept giving the kitty a hard time and had some issues with her. I stayed home from work to try and make this work, but for whatever reason I don't think it would have worked. I made the decision to take back the kitty. Please don't curse me, when I left I left crying, it wasn't a good time at all. I only had the kitty for a week, but I loved her. The rescue was very understanding, not once giving me a hard time. If anything, I'm happy I gave them the $150 for the adoption since I believe they deserve all the help they can get. This rescue likes to give you sick cats. The cat we adopted is for my 15yo daughter, I have spent oodles of money on a sick cat. In the adoption note it stated she is cuddly and loves to be pet, lie after lie. The cat hates people will not leave my daughters room after 4 months. Sneezes blood, URI, continuous vomiting and ear mites. The cat hates to be petted handled or anything above. She bites and scratches. Horrible cat, horrible rescue. Let me start by saying I love the cat I adopted and the foster family did a great job with him. As far as this business goes though, I will never adopt from them again. I put in an application to adopt and was called the next day about it. I was specifically told that it is NOT first come first serve... they review all applications submitted for a specific animal and decide which home would be best. I was given the adoption fee and told I could pay with a credit card if I am chosen. 2 days later I received an voicemail that the cat had been adopted. Hours after that I received an email saying the cat was going to be at a Petco adoption event the next day... what? I emailed back and was told the adoption fell through and I can pick him up the next day. So I drove 1.5 hours to a specific petco to pick up him. When I get there there is a huge line and I was told I had to wait in line as it is first come first serve... the exact opposite of what I had been told. I of course got upset and explained what I had been told. I also asked me speak to the women who had told me these things but apparently she had just left and couldn't be reached. I had to wait in line for 2 hours praying no one took my cat, refill out all of the adoption paperwork because they couldn't find mine even though I showed them the email I had sent in with it and when I finally get to adopt him they give me a price 4x what I was told and tell me I have to pay in cash. They didn't even have cardboard carriers to bring the cats home in. On my way out a nice family that was in front of me in line stopped me and said they had actually planned to adopt him, but heard what had happened and thought I should be able to so they adopted a different cat instead. This business does not care about animals... they are poorly run and only in it for the money. Adopt from somewhere else that actually cares. read more

My first experience with a rescue ever was with this place. I have no idea how they work but I feel like this place gave me a good idea. My cat brought home a stray and we decided to adopt her and keep her safe while she was pregnant. She had six kittens and we couldn't find homes for two of them. My neighbor suggested this rescue and gave me the contact of someone that works there. The lady was super helpful and even made an appointment for the kitten drop off and to get their Mom's vaccines. She also scheduled her to get spayed. We ended up finding a home for one of them Last minute and I emailed her. She said they like to rescue kittens in pairs? I guess she meant they didn't want to help with just the one. She seemed so disappointed that there was only one. Well I ended up finding a home for him as well. I didn't expect to find homes for them. I was ready to drop them off at our scheduled appointment. She was so unhappy that she wasn't getting kittens anymore. She later cancelled the spay appointment she so nicely set up for me when she was going to get two kittens. She went from being super helpful to not caring at all. She referred me to other places that weren't open to spay my cat. She even sent me a huge list of all the rescues in So Cal. I emailed her back to let her know that neither of the two she referred me to were spaying and she asked if I had called all the other rescues on the lengthy list she sent me. If I ever have kittens I'll never contact this rescue. It's totally one sided. She went from let me help you to screw you go figure it out. My first experience with a rescue ever! It was sad. I thought we all just wanted what was best for the kittens. I thought we were all on board to stop the population of more coming into the world especially during covid when vets aren't spaying animals. I finally found someone to spay my newly adopted cat a few cities over. No thanks to this place. I'm sure they mean well but the lady that helped me truly sucks and her one sided ways are even worse. I would love to name her just to point a big finger at her. Hopefully they teach their employees better. Through service you get referrals and more kittens. I feel extremely guilty writing a. bad review about an organization that is supposed to be helping animals but I don't want someone to get themselves into something that they aren't ready for. My parents and I adopted a 4 month old male cat from MeoowzResQ in late 2019. When we were looking at the he seemed terrified and was hiding beneath a blanker in his cage. I couldn't bring myself to leave without him and so we signed the papers and paid. He's my best friend and I have no regrets in adopting him. That being said he was infested with fleas and tape worms (we were told that he was on flea and worm medicine) and I could feel each of his ribs and each notch on his spine when petting him. He's a big cat and is weighing over 20 pounds now. Multiple family members who came by for Christmas expressed worries about him surviving. He was also severely unsocialized and still has issues with people even acknowledging his presence. It's taken almost a year to get him used to being acknowledged and to not automatically bolt into a hiding place if someone says his name. Even though things turned out okay and my baby is better now there was a chance that he didn't and that's so scary, I wouldn't wish that fear onto any new families. read more

Will never attempt to adopt from this rescue again. We attempted to adopt a kitten from their location at Petsmart in Murrieta which fell through. I drove to the ATM to get cash for the purchase while my wife stayed with our 4 year old and 23 month old to fill out the adoption paperwork. When I got back to the store, my wife and kids were standing outside the adoption center, my wife livid and my kids almost in tears and visibly upset. What I find out is that after my wife had the paperwork completed to return to them, the company refused to adopt the kitten because they wanted us to adopt a second kitten (her sibling) as well. The sibling was not even at the adoption center. I attempted to talk to the volunteer to get more information, she barely bothered speaking to me other than to push a card for the rescue at me to talk with them. Tried calling them and they would not answer their phone. Another family at the adoption center was also challenging the decision to not adopt to us, and they were dumbfounded at the decision to refuse the adoption. This company charges more for adoption fees than any other of the other rescues that we have visited. So, now this kitten, instead of being in a loving home is sitting by itself in a cage alone (apparently they have no problem with the kitten being alone as long as they own her, but requires it to be with its sibling when they see a family with young children trying to adopt her). read more

When I read all the poor reviews for this organization my heart sunk, because those poor reviews are so very petty when you think of the enormous time, effort and dedication to saving these poor unfortunate homeless souls these people go through by rescuing suffering animals. My own experience was beyond angelic. I had a poor little French Blue that was starving as he could not nurse, I didn't catch it as he was always in between the other healthy babies. One day I saw he was so much tinier and skinner than the others. I found he was dying on a Sunday and panicked and took him to Petco to see if anyone would know what I could do. MeoowzResQ was there spending hours of their own time with several kittens for adoption. I didn't expect the sweet lady I asked to do much since they had so many kitties they were caring for. I was so wrong. She immediately helped me to find a milk replacement and gave me a kit to help feed him. She actually took the time to show me what to do and held him while he finally got some nourishment down. She didn't charge me anything and gave me so many tips on his care. He loved the replacement milk and before I knew it was up and running around and gaining weight. The next day I took him to the vet and he weighed one ounce at about 3 weeks, the others weighed 5 or more. He is still a runt but so happy and healthy and alive thanks to the loving heart at Meoowz Rescue. What a wonderful caring person doing a job that all the other complainers try to find fault in. While they care for a single cat. Wonder if she does have a house of cats lounging around, wonder if a kitty got worms from its uncared for mother. The bottom line is so you adopt one or two cats, they are helping so much more than anyone complaining. How about the people complaining take 20 cats instead of 2. It hurts me that genuinely caring people that take on the job no one wants, but still receive such petty complaints. HELP don't HURT!!! I can only tell you these people care so much and they are just people. They may make some mistakes along the way, but why not donate to help them, rather than COMPLAIN and maybe drive away potential adoptions. Shame on those that find petty issues and put it on the site, instead of handling the issue and helping these selfless saints that help these innocent souls. I adopted my little kitten on dec. 8th. She was known as sqeaky but my teenage son renamed her Sosa. We have all fallen totally in love with her. The people of Meoowzreq are totally awesome. Called me at home after a few days to check on how everything is going. I would recommend this organization to everyone. In fact on Dec. 30 I went to Home Depot and saw an employee petting a cat in the garden section. I asked if it was the "house cat". She told me kind of, the employees feed her but mangement was getting upset because she kept setting off the alarms at night. I called meoowzresq and they took her in. Good thing because it was freezing cold that night. Plus it was only a matter of time before she was hit in the parking lot. These people are truely compassionate animal lovers. read more

We went to the Petco in Santa Ana for a very easy & quick adoption. When we got the cat, we were told she was scared of jumping on the couch & bed, but look at this sofa queen now! She is thriving since we got her and I'm so grateful to have found her with this organization. She is the perfect cat for my husband and I, so loving, mellow and sweet, greets us at the door and wakes us up in the morning for snuggles. Our cat, known as Candy at the time of adoption, was listed as having mild allergies. The vet told us she didn't have allergies but has feline herpes, which is common for rescued cats. I wish that was disclosed but also, these are rescued cats, upper respiratory issues are common, some of these reviews are unrealistic- many rescued cats will have parasites/ skin issues/ respiratory issues. We were happy to have the vet voucher, the vet they referred us to was friendly & gave me free medication for her (I did wait an hour though, with an appt, really stressful with a new cat). read more

This is by far the BEST KITTY ADOPTION organization on the map! Everyone who volunteers is extremely committed to taking wonderful care of the kittens and cats. All kitties are spayed and/or neutered, have flea treatments and are perfectly healthy. We adopted 3 kittens, a pair of twin girls, which are Silver Tipped Linx Pointe Siamese (Lilly and Charlotte) and a male Cinnamon Spotted Oriental Tabby (Simba). We got them all in infancy and all were loving and very affectionate. I highly recommend this organization. They have adoption events at several different locations throughout Orange County, so it's very convenient. I also recommend becoming a foster parent as they really need help with all the babies being born who need to be loved and cared for. They will give you food and any help you need. read more

I can't speak for this organization as a whole. They seem to do wonderful things as far as fostering cats. However, upon discovering an ad on Craigslist that they would be at a pet store near our home in Irvine, we went to seek adoption of a kitten for our son. We were immediately judged by Sylvia Jonathon (one of the workers for this company). She ignored us while helping other people extensively. Our son was very excited about possibly adopting a cat. However, after a long wait Sylvia wouldn't even allow us to fill out an application. She told us that based on what she had noticed about us that she wouldn't approve of our application and there was no point in us filling it out. Imagine our shock and discomfort. She proceeded to make up an excuse about our three year old son being too young for her kitten. We were humiliated and our day was ruined by someone who made our family feel unworthy of a kitten. Little does she know that my husband makes over six figures while I stay home with our son. We have a very loving home where the kitten would receive lots of love and attention. I have spent the last couple of years as a special education teacher working with students who have suffered neglect and abuse similar to what I'm sure many of these fostered kittens have experienced. But she wouldn't know since we were refused an application. I hope others in this company do not treat people this way although some reviews suggest otherwise. We also watched her degrade and humiliate another lady who was interested in a cat. She judged the woman on being newly married and living at home with her parents until she could afford to buy her own home. I could tell how humiliated the woman felt as Sylvia condescendingly asked her question after question. My hope is that people like Sylvia will treat humans as well as she treats her cats and will realize that her false assumptions are taking away from potentially good homes for these kittens. I also hope potential customers think twice about the judgement they will receive as they excitedly take time out of their day to adopt a cat. As I write this, our family is still emotionally healing due to our treatment yesterday. We have never been treated that way by any business in our lives. We should have at the very least been given a chance to fill out an application. read more

I adopted two kittens from this rescue, both my kittens were sick. I got them home and started hearing ragged breathing , runny nose and eyes from them. I contacted the rescue, and was assured several times they would be covering the cost to get my kittens better. I questioned the "person" in charge how they let the kittens get so sick. And was told OH it must have been new fosters parents, like it was no big deal. I then delt with them for over a month going back and forth. when my kittens weren't improving on the several medicines they had been on, I was then accused of not giving them their medicine and that's why they weren't getting better!!! The truth was the owner did not want to pay for them anymore!!! And decided she wasn't going to be responsible for the horrible care they received. I'm a stay at home mom and I love and take care of my kittens like I do my own child. I was treated horribly and the owner should be ashamed for how she acted and pretends to care for these animals. I am sad that they still are caring for animals. If you do decide to rescue an animal from this terrible organization i recommend you do not trust a word they say. Get your kittens far away from them. My kittens last visit to their vet, they were stolen by a lackey of the owner. I arrived to the vet after being told the rescue didn't want pay for my kittens stay for observation.( Since the med's weren't working the owner told me to take them to be watched for a few days to a week. ) I get to the vet with my small child and mom to find my cats have been taken back by the rescue without my knowledge or consent. Imagine having to explain to a very upset child where his kittens were. We then sat there for two hours arguing to get them back. Only after we were about to call the police And i was forced to sign a paper saying the rescue was no longer responsible for the vet bills were they finally returned!!! (I was told They wouldn't give them back unless I signed..i was totally fine with this to get them back!! But the rudeness and manner in which it was done WOW!!!)Insane !! I cannot believe a supposedly great kitten rescue would steal animals from the vet they told me to take them to!!! It all comes down to money with these people not genuine caring. Beware. First off, I want to state that my review isn't necessarily for the organization as a whole, but for the one woman who now no longer works with them due to not following procedures and double dipping in different organizations. This woman, in her Anaheim Hills mansion, had about 30+ cats in her home. She kept bringing in new cats, including ferals, without properly treating the group. The two kittens I rescued from her (and the word "rescue" is very stressed) both were determined to have feline herpes. One shows worse signs than the other, but this disease could've been prevented. I also thought I was adopting a boy cat, but when I finally got the cat to the vet, I was told that NOPE it was a girl! That's fine, but now I don't know how old she is exactly because I was given the wrong paperwork. When I tried to get the correct paperwork, or any information, I was told by a rep at MeoowzResQ that she was a problem case who never submitted paperwork, etc, and was no longer with them. So... great. She took my money and gave me two chronically ill cats. They're both overall pretty fine and I love them to pieces but they have flare-ups that make me feel awful. When I was looking for a companion kitten for our young Burmese, I started looking through Petfinder and other online adoption sites. I initially found an orange tabby kitten that (from its description) sounded like it would be a good personality fit for our cat. That kitten happened to be fostered by MeoowzResQ, so I emailed them for more info. The coordinator responded to my email promptly, and told me the kitten would be at their next adoption event, which was that Saturday. So, on Saturday I drove down from the IE to Orange to get my kitten. I spoke to the coordinator who was there, and she remembered my email, and checked through the cages to find the kitten, who ended up not being there. She then called the foster parent (who had initially agreed to bring the kitten to the event), and found out that the kitten had already been adopted. Disappointed, I was ready to go home at that point, since I didn't want to randomly grab a cat out of a cage and take it home. However, the rescue coordinator asked me what I was looking for in a cat, and I gave my list: mellow, quiet, at least 6 months old, good with other cats, preferably female. She went down the cages and pointed out 4 kittens that fit the bill. After watching all of them a little, I chose the one who happened to be passed out asleep amidst the chaos of the adoption event, which was being held outside in front of a pet store. I paid the adoption fee, was given a voucher for a free bag of kitten food from the pet store, some cat toys, and was given an envelope with my kitten's vet/vaccination records, and another voucher for a free vet checkup from one of the vets they work with. I ended up not using the vet voucher only because I have a trusted vet that is much closer to where I live. My kitten was pretty much in great health - I took her for her 1st checkup and next round of shots about 3 days after I got her. My current kitten at the time, a Burmese, was ecstatic about having a buddy, and they bonded immediately. I'm sorry that some reviewers had a bad experience with this rescue. It does have the feel of something entirely volunteer-run, and since the cats are all fostered by different "parents," I would imagine you could have very different experiences based upon whom you end up dealing with. However, I had a great experience, and got a wonderful cat. Their cats have a 30-day return policy, so if you feel you have been mislead by the cat's description, or your cat is sick, or things just aren't "working out," you can return the cat to the rescue and get your adoption fee back. The first stop after adopting a kitten should always be the vet's office. That said, though, cats are great at masking things that are wrong with them until they are *really* sick, so it's entirely possible for a cat's caregiver to miss subtle signs that the cat isn't well. Cats also tend to succumb more easily to sickness when they are stressed out (just like we do!), and you have to remember that these kitties in particular have been through a lot, exposed to many different environments, people, other cats -- and they've now had the stress of being moved into your home. I'm not saying that no one was "lied to," but when getting a shelter/rescue cat, you have to be prepared for anything. (That wasn't meant to turn into a rant - I've just owned a lot of cats, and I used to work in a cat hospital.) read more

My boyfriend and I to the pet supply store in fountain valley looking to adopt a cat or kitten and I've never been treated that rudely and disrespectfully. I lifted up a blanket to look into the cage and A rude lady promptly told me to not lift up the blanket because someone just turned found that kitten in the parking lot and I immediately apologized. My boyfriend curiously asked questioned about the kitten and the lady got very offended and told us it's her right to do whatever she wants to do with that cat. We left the store immediately after that because of that lady and we start walking to a different store and another lady from this organization started running aggressive towards us and then countries to yell at us for offending the other lady. To sum up the story my boyfriend and I were both verbally harassed and physically threatened by someone from this organization. read more

I rarely ever write yelp reviews, but this is an exceptional circumstance. I adopted a cat from the Orange location in 2013. I love her dearly, but she has had health and behavioral issues since day one. Literally. The day we brought her home we realized she had worms. Which was extra sketchy considering they told us she was hand-raised/bottle-fed since infancy and when we adopted her she was 5 months old. So she was either never dewormed or she was allowed to mingle with other untreated cats. Most likely both. We contaced the rescue and they said to go to the main Orange office and pick up medication. When we got there it was a mobile home crammed full of at least 20-30 cats. They gave us medication to administer, but when we got home we realized it was 2 years old!! So we ended up having to take her to the vet to get dewormed, as well as my other cat which I already owned, since she'd transmitted the worms to that cat as well. Ever since, it has been a litany of behavioral and medical problems with this one cat. I have two other cats which I've raised myself, and they are healthy normal kitties. The one I adopted from this rescue is the only one who struggles daily. She has extreme anxiety, and as a result she suffers all kinds of behavioral and physical symptoms. Idk what happened in the first 5 months of her life but 5 YEARS of being in our care has only barely brought her out of her shell. She still cringes and/or runs away from us sometimes, as if she's expecting us to hit or kick her at any moment. I never thought to look the rescue up on yelp before this, and seeing all the other reviews left me stunned. I can't believe this branch of the organization is still operating the same way under the same woman, and I can't beleive how many people have been unknowingly given very sick cats. Why hasn't there been some kind of investigation??? After 5 years, if not longer?? It just boggles my mind. read more

Unfortunately, we adopted two cats (Bullet and Tiger) from this place through Petco on Trautwein in Riverside last year. Immediately, we saw that one of the kittens (Bullet) was ill, bleeding from his nose and drainage from his eyes and lethargic. I tried desperately to get assistance from MeoowzResQ and they took forever to respond or take back this kitten. I took the sick kitten to their recommended vet, paid $118 and the kitten remained ill. I had to write a letter to Meeowz demanding a refund of my money and they finally contacted me with a refund of vet bill and the option to switch kittens. We went back to Petco's adoption event, returned the sick kitten and got another kitten (Sal) who has been doing great. Unfortunately, the other kitten (Tiger) we adopted with the first sick one just recently passed away. Months later, we noticed he was not developing properly (small in size and skinny). Since we did not have a good experience with Meoowz, we decided to just keep him until he passed away this morning. I am sure testing, diagnosing was going to costs more money than we were able to pay. I am sure both kittens were ill when we first adopted them back in 2015, and regret not returning Tiger as well. I understand that they are rescued animals, but the lack of cooperation and assistance from Meoowz Resq has earned them this negative posting. RIP Tiger :-(. read more

Much about this rescue group concerns me. We adopted a beautiful calico the other day. Her eyes looked a bit runny and when I asked the woman who was there, she said the cat had gotten into some soot in the fireplace at her foster home (BTW - we later found out that this woman is the "medical team" for the rescue). We were also told she had a litter of kittens that had all been adopted out. We filled out all the paperwork and paid, when the foster "mom" came in. I asked if the kitty had been in the fireplace. She looked confused and said no. I asked about her eyes and she said she'd had some "stuff" on her face that morning and she cleaned it iff (wouldn't a seasoned cat foster know what an eye infection looks like?). I also asked about the litter. The foster told us she'd had a litter if 5, and they all died from upper respiratory infections. When I asked the other person again, she said the foster had been confusing her with another cat.... The only reason they get 2 stars is when I called to ask that we be given medical treatment (as was promised on their paperwork), the medical team person came out with some meds (hopefully not expired). Really fly-by-night. I'm glad we got this sweet kitty out of there, but would never adopt from them again :( Oh, and we will still be taking her to our vet. The rescue does not test for any kitten diseases, as they say it's too expensive (adoption fee is $100). read more

I wasnt sure what I would be getting when I answered an ad on Craigslist for "Bootsie". She was described as a sweet an loving kitty. The volunteer from Meoowzresq brought Bootsie to my house. The most gentle, calm and sweet cat I have ever had. I took her to the vet for a check up-Dr said she was very healthy. The meoowzresq folster mom was named Sidney - she was patient with all of my questions and concerns. Thank you for bringing such a pleasure to our home. We love our Bootsie! read more

I am so thankful this rescue group was able to help me and my poor little Shadow. I decided to take care of him when my cousin found him in the street abandoned. I immediately took him to a veterinarian to get neutered, flea treatment, dewormer and all of his shots. Unfortunately, I recently had to give him up for adoption :"( due to being a full time worker and college student, I was never home to properly train and spend time with Shadow. I was just causing pain for the both of us. So I contacted several animal rescue groups and Dani from MeeowzResQ contacted me the very next morning to help me find a foster for Shadow. That very same day, I received an email from Dani letting me know that she found a foster and gave me her contact information. I met with Riki (Shadow's foster) the next day and I was so happy to find out how knowledgeable she is about kittens. Riki told me that the following day there will be an adoption event at Petco, where Shadow will have an opportunity to be adopted. I felt relieved to know that Shadow was in good hands. Riki texted me the next day letting me know that Shadow was adopted to a forever home! She even described who adopted him and their story. I am so thankful for this organization and how quickly they were able to help Shadow. I miss my little Shadow but I know that he is with a loving person who can play and spend time with him. read more

I have been fostering through this organization for years so I give you an educated and experienced review. For those previous one or two star review who are complaining about receiving animals with colds.. I am appalled people as idiotic as that are in charge of animals. These are babies and if you have ever had a baby or pet, you know you can't control if they get sick.. BABIES ARE GERM factories ..no shit. I have taken care of them from the entire process , rescuing them from the day they are about to be killed at the shelter to caring for them every single day until they are ready to be adopted. The fosters take them to spay and neuter appointments and vaccination appointments , feed them quality food and if they get sick we medicate them appropriately , all at the expense of the organization . We also deal with nut jobs like the previous posters who harass us and pressure is for cats and then hate us because we deem them unfit to provide a good home ( no surprise ). Once you adopt a kitten , it is a huge responsibility that some people aren't ready for..sorry there aren't returns on your children when they get sick, same with pets. No guarantees they will be perfect for you, you do however need to be perfect to them. Don't adopt unless you are absolutely ready, you are doing a disservice to the cats. read more

I adopted two wonderful kittens last year from them. To be honest, they came with parasites, but since they are rescue cats it's not surprising. I took them to the vet a couple of times to get it all sorted out, and they are fine now The male one was aggressive at first, scratching and biting, but when I got the smaller female a couple of months later, he seemed the mellow out a lot. Maybe he just needed a playmate. I like that they made me sign a form that the cats would be indoor cats only and never be declawed. They really care about the animals there. read more

i have to say - I am really disappointed in this rescue. We adopted a kitty from this rescue. The kitten was fostered by a very nice gal and her family. After I adopted her she became very sick and when I contacted the rescue they ignored my calls. I then called the lady I got the cat from - the foster family. She told me she would attempt to contact them too. She too could not get a hold of the rescue. I soon found out that my check was cashed immediately for the kitten and still no answer from the rescue. Turns out a lot of $$ later that the kitten had calicivirus. It cost me over 400$ and a lot of medication and my kitty got a little better. she still sneezes a lot. Another thing, I had to microchip her. I have never heard of a rescue that does not microchip?! Not only did it cost me 45$ but if any of these cats from this rescue end up in a shelter Meoowz Rescue will not be notified (naturally sans a microchip) They are obviously all about the money and don't care for the kitties unless you are adopting and writing a check. Stay AWAY from them! Go to a local shelter and adopt there - Shelter animals come spayed and neutered- microchipped and vaccinated! read more

I found 4 kittens about 4 weeks old and started contacting rescue groups and nobody would help. Everyone kept telling me to contact Dani and Meoowz. I finally did and was happy that they were the only group willing to help. They sent Kathy out to give our kittens their shots, and brought food and litter to help while we were fostering them. I was able to get them spayed/neutered with the help of Meoowz. I got lucky and all of my babies were adopted quickly. I will foster for them again in the near future. They are a wonderful group and very helpful with everything! I have dealt with other groups in the past and have volunteered and have been treated very badly, but never with Meoowz did I ever feel this way. read more

We have adopted 2 kittens from MeoowzResQ and could not be happier. What makes MeoowzResQ special is that all the kittens are hand-raised and cared for in the homes of fosters vs. simply left in cages somewhere. This makes the cats especially social and friendly. This is one of the best cat rescues I have ever been involved with. Earlier this year on my birthday I wanted to save the life of a cat as a way to commemorate my birthday. After rescuing a mother cat and her 6 kittens from a shelter, MeoowzResQ was the only rescue that answered my plea for help and offered rescue backing.
