I'm convinced no one works at the front desk. I reached out 4+ times to try and switch my toddler into a new class and was only successful because I spoke to her dance instructor and she contacted someone for me... Once I got the class switched, I confirmed that we were not participating in the recital as we will be moving and wanted to ensure I didn't have to pay the fees..... They ended up charging me for the fees and now I can't get ahold of someone to discuss why this is happening. We literally confirmed that she would practice whatever recital dance they were working on weekly but wouldn't actually be in the recital but nope, they went ahead and charged me 2 days later. I've called them 5+ times over the last 2 weeks and left 2 voicemails and still have not heard back from anyone.... Kinda absurd to have ZERO communication with parents. No one is ever sitting up front when I take my daughter for classes either so I can't talk to someone then. Considering pulling my daughter out entirely since this has just been super stressful. Where is the communication? Where are the workers? Who owns this facility? Is there any oversight at all? This is the place to be if you want free classes, i'm sure no one will ever know you're enrolled so you can just do whatever ‍ Very unfortunate! If I don't hear back from someone soon I will be pulling my daughter out and not recommending this studio to anyone whatsoever. read more

I enrolled my granddaughter for the 10 week course. It was supposed to last from 415 to 5 o'clock eight out of the 10 classes started late and ended early. There goes the money I paid for a full 50 minute class. The majority of the class was stretching for a bunch of five-year-olds. their dance was basically jumping jacks there were only a couple days where they did a little bit of basic ballet moves, but even the moves they were doing they did not even correct the little girls they just let them skip up and down the dance floor. This was the worst place i have seen. the people who work there or had older children in different classes were always sitting in the only 6 available chairs so the parents could not even watch their own children . As a parent, our grandparent, I want to watch my grandchild our child not sit there and watch them gossip about everything. I will never go back there, and I will tell everybody not to. so basically paid for 10 minutes of some sort of ballet moves and the rest of the time talking and stretching. read more

We started with their Music and Movement classes, then Beginner Ballet and now we are in their Ballet/Tap class. My daughter absolutely loves it and is so excited when it is "dance day". Their prices are really reasonable and every time we go into the building, the ladies at the front desk are so welcoming. The room that my daughter dances in has a big window so I can watch her - and honestly it is such a good feeling to see that smile on her face the whole entire time she is in that room. Everyone tried so hard to understand and help her. We are now going on our second season with Meraki and can't wait to see how my little girl progresses. If you child has any sort of delay and can't sit still DO NOT go to Meraki Dance Academy. I wanted to share my experience that I had today at Meraki Dance Academy. My daughter is about to be 4 has a delay along with a speech delay after not being able to hear for two years. She doesn't sit well. She is an active girl. We are actively working on her attention span with her OT. I thought the class would be a fun time for her and a opportunity for her to work on her social skills. I signed my daughter up for the fairytale ballet. Thinking it would be a fun time for her cause she loves princesses and dancing. I told the instructor this was her first class and that she has a speech delay so she may not answer back if you ask her questions. Well it was story time and you could tell the instructor was getting agitated that My daughter wasn't listening. My daughter wasn't being disruptive to the class at all. She was just dancing. So in the middle of the class, the instructor brings my daughter out and says "if she can't sit still she can't be in the class." I told her my daughter has a delay and has a hard time sitting still. She proceeds to tell me "well if she can't sit still she can't be in here." My daughter was so upset all she wanted to do was go back into the class room. Not to mention this was done in front of all the other parents. The instructor didn't have the decency to at least let my daughter finish the class. I had to take my crying child with all parents looking at us out of the building. The situation was very upsetting to both me and my daughter. This review is well over due. I have never written a review online but for how much I felt robbed of not only my time and my daughters but of my money infuriates me. My daughter is 4 and I wanted put her in dance to try it out. She started in January 2022 in fairy class up until May ( when recital). The studio is very small and friendly that's only positive to all of it. She had same teacher who was nice. When we got closer to the recital all moms video recorded the dance so we could practice at home for big day. We get to the recital we see her teacher with one class which ok she has different classes. Then my daughter comes to the stage with her class and a teacher with them whom I've never seen before but ok that's fine. What wasn't fine was the teacher doing a different dance that the girls weren't taught. So little girls all looked confused. Music wasn't even over and the teacher was telling girls come on get off stage. All confusing. Just upsetting you spend so many months with teacher and a dance and then come to recital and it was all a mess. So I felt like both of our experience of dance was just bad. Why do all classes every week and get excited for the end performance to just be ruined. And then when I went back stage I saw her teacher with another group. I wanted to ask her where we're you???! But I kept quiet and walked out upset. Another mom of daughter in same class said oh well what are we going to do? It's over now...I'm like that's terrible. So that was the recital experience. And mind you you pay $65 a month. Now in April for recital we did class pictures / individual pictures $70. It's now August and I'm still calling trying to figure out why I never received my pictures and no help. And on top of that at the recital I paid $25 for a video of the recital that I do not want at all (OBVIOUSLY) but I still paid. So overall I just feel robbed of my time and money. And now I'm scarred of going to any dance studio because who would think of this nonsense happening???but it did. So if I can help anyone else of making same mistake I did choosing this studio I tried. read more

Do not go here if you expect your child to learn any real contortion. The Acro/Contortion level 1 & 2 classes are more Acro and they repeat the same thing each class over and over. You could get a better bang for your buck taking your child to a city Acro program or gymnastics location if you want Acrobatics. As for the Contortion part in the level 1 & 2 class, it's not taught by anyone with real Contortion training or experience. It's usually a UNLV cheerleader who misses classes and the sub teacher never has real Acro or Contortion training. For true Contortion, the class would need to be longer and focus on flexibility - these classes do not. The owner is somewhat friendly but has no real interest in a child unless they are a member of the company's "team". I wish I could give them a higher rating as we were really excited.
