I had even provided photos of my daughter's hair in advance, so there was no surprise or misunderstanding. Further, the "master" stylist was very rude and accusatory when he approached me about retroactively charging us. Mind you he was the one I showed the pictures to, as well as the one who submitted the payment slips to the young women at the front desk. Changing prices after the fact is unfair and unacceptable. It also raises serious concerns about discriminatory pricing practices. Customers deserve transparency and honesty, not hidden or after-the-fact charges. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who values professionalism, fairness, and respect.

NEW BOGUS FEE - is now added on to ALL services. As a "service fee"...beware of this! They add it on without your knowledge. One of the worst salon experiences. The person I was booked with called to ask if I could come in…read more4.5 hours early. I said no since I was working. When I got there, Erin had clearly pawned me off on someone else who was there. The person who I was now supposed to have was actively providing a service to someone else. So they asked a third person to wash my hair. She seemed incredibly nervous. I was told they would throw in an additional service (I think this was to buy time) but don't believe I ever actually got it. Once I get to the chair to blow dry, they put a hair robe on, around the chair, so I'm basically in a straight jacket. It was clear everyone was rushed so someone comes over to help blow dry. She makes a joke that I'm getting "celebrity treatment" - no, you're just trying to hurry this along. The new person who comes to help is going twice as fast, doing larger sections and using 3x as hot of temperature. She helps for about sixty seconds, and leaves my hair wrapped around a brush and leaves. I sat with a brush in my hair for another 5 minutes. Was never asked how I style my hair. She made the decision for me. Whatever was used in my hair, I can't even get my fingers through it. I go to pay and for the 3rd time, the price is different than originally told. When I first went to book it said a blowout was $41. Not STARTING at $41. When I put in my card info and address for billing (for the booking deposit), it seems it realized I was from out of town and kicked up the price $20, now to $61. Found this absurd but needed it done. Now I'm standing at the counter to pay and instead of $51 ($61-$10 deposit), she tells me I owe $53. Terrible start to finish!

I spoke with Mare, who's amazing by the way, and she suggested I try Ashiatu massage. I had never heard the term before. "Ashi" means foot. Therefore, it's a barefoot massage that involves using bare feet to apply strokes, assisted stretching the muscles. It's freaking awesome. I'm totally weirded out by feet, but I needed this. It the room looks all BDSMish, but it's totally not. She uses drilled poles to steady herself. I was so apprehensive but excited at the same time. Mare's sweet disposition put me at ease. I really valued my experience because I didn't think about her bare feet. I was relieved and listened to the flute and waves. If you're open and want to try a different type of massage, then this is a viable option. Did I mention they take FSA/HSA, too? Check of their list if serves. It seems they have a host of great medspa offerings such as IV Hydration, Sauna, inferred, and salon services.
