    Signal flashing maintenance required

    My experience at Toyota Merced was extremely disappointing and unhelpful. From the moment I arrived, the service advisor could not find my appointment--even though I had confirmation and had spoken with a representative beforehand. Rather than resolving it, he brushed us off, had us sign paperwork, and said he'd call when the vehicle was ready. I brought my car in because the "Maintenance Required - Traction Battery Cooling Parts" warning was actively flashing. I have video proof timestamped at 2:23 PM, just minutes before my 2:30 PM appointment, clearly showing the warning. Despite this, the dealership claimed they were "unable to duplicate the concern." For a dealership that advertises specialized technicians, I expected at least an explanation of what the warning could indicate or reassurance that it had been properly investigated. What makes this worse is that they kept my vehicle for over 24 hours. I received a message the next day at 2:39 PM saying it was ready--yet they did not explain why it needed to be kept overnight if nothing was found. According to the paperwork, the only thing done was adding air to a tire. That does not justify keeping my car for an entire day. When we returned to pick it up, we were told Kevin, our advisor, would come speak with us--but he never did. No one explained what was checked or what was found. Another employee simply read off the paperwork and told me to "bring it back if it happens again." I live four hours away and do not have another Toyota dealership nearby, so that response was unacceptable. To make matters worse, the "Maintenance Required" message was still present as I pulled out of the parking lot. This left me with serious doubts that the issue was properly diagnosed at all. Since my vehicle is under warranty, I can't help but feel the concern was dismissed rather than thoroughly checked. I will not be returning. I left with the same warning, no answers, and no confidence that my vehicle was actually serviced.

    Couldn't be happier. I just bought a 2023 Toyota Venza LE. I was shopping online for a hybrid Toyota Rav 4 XLE. I'm from Modesto, so I was willing to look from Sac to Fresno for the best deal. I started with texting with Danny (mind you other dealerships would call me even though I asked for texting. So it was greatly appreciated that Danny was able to text me and answer my questions via text) He explained different options for waitlists and also introduced me to the Venza. I was so impressed we went in the next morning to test drive a hybrid vehicle and place a deposit. We met Saira who walked us through test driving a Rav 4 hybrid and a Venza. She was very patient and helpful. They ran financing scenarios for me. So I could come up with the best option for me. I ended up making a $1000 deposit to hold a Venza that was set to be delivered in 5 to 8 weeks. Four days later, Saira texted and said my vehicle would be ready to pick up the next day! Wow! Day of pick up was super simple. Met with a very nice financing guy, as well as Danny and Saira. She helped me set up the Bluetooth and went over features with me. I typically dread buying vehicles because I feel like it's just a game, the folks at Merced Toyota really made the car buying process painless and simple. I would 1000% recommend Merced Toyota even if you live a little bit far away because they make the process simple and they are very kind and very willing to educate their customers. Once the test drives were done, she passed us to Mark who was incredibly pushy. I told him numerous times that I was only there to test drive and was willing to hear out ROUGH numbers only, but he kept insisting that I give all of my information to them to get accurate numbers and the best deal. I'm not at that stage yet, and he didn't listen to me once when I mentioned that. After telling us to "hold on" multiple times, he then brings over his incredibly eccentric and sleazy supervisor (maybe?), who also couldn't take "no" or "I'm only here for test drives" as an answer. On top of that, I'm the one buying the vehicle, yet they both kept looking over at and directing "questions" to the guy who was with me. It was very misogynistic, and it got to the point where I was feeling harassed because they didn't like the word "no", no matter how I said it or how many times I said it. They could give me the best deal out of any dealership in town and I still wouldn't go with them. Incredibly unprofessional and I honestly don't know what kinds of slimy fees they'd tack on without me knowing. These dealerships have gone downhill so much since I purchased a car from Kia back in 2012 or so. BE WARNED!

    I purchased a wheel/tire warranty when I purchased my Tiguan. Popped tire on 4/27/26. I had the car…read moretowed to closest VW dealership. Informed dealer about wheel/tire warranty. On 4/27/26 around 11AM, I received a call from the service department stating my policy covered everything except for a $2.15 tire disposal fee. They said they would receive tire on 4/29/26. Received call around 3PM on 4/29/26, was told that they were putting on new tire and instructed me to come pick it up after work. Upon arriving at the dealership, service rep told me that they weren't able to get in touch with the tire warranty company and that they could not "release the car to me." I was then told to "file the claim myself and to pay the $350 or they would keep my car. The warranty instructions are clear: Take your vehicle to any dealership or state-licensed repair facility. Have the repair facility verify coverage and obtain a repair authorization number from Zurich before any repair is made by calling 1-800-491-5117. Submit invoice/repair order to Zurich verifying the authorized repair has been completed. Pay deductible, if applicable, and any non-covered expenses. Zurich pays the repair facility directly. So they did a bait and switch to extort money from me. Had I have known this would be the outcome, I would have taken it to another VW dealership.

Our 2nd Dodge lease was up, and we were specifically looking for the new 2021 Dodge Durango R/T (tow and go package). Razzari had one we wanted. Due to us living in the East Bay, we wanted to avoid wasted time on both ends, so my fiance called the dealership to get information on the car, and talk numbers. He spoke with Gordon, the Manager, and he was very attentive and had excellent follow through. He was transparent, and did what he realistically could to get us near a price we were comfortable with. Although the pricing was more than we were currently paying for our current lease, we knew times are different, so we were willing to justify the payments. We made the drive out to Merced, and fell in love with the suv, and secured the deal. After 3 different leases, this was the most simplest, painless and quickest lease process we've experienced.
