At this point we were told that every service call would be $200. When some parts arrived the service man returned to install them. We were told there was one more part to arrive, so that would be another $200 service call. What a scam! A business advertised to replace and repair water heaters does not have the needed parts and when they do have them, it takes two more calls to finally repair the water heater. The cost would be well over $600. Also, for the first call we were charged $99 for a Commercial Service Fee, and for the second we were charged $69 for a Residential Service Fee. Stay clear of this business. They are obviously eager to gouge their customers for as much as they can tolerate.

I've always done most of the repairs around my home but some jobs have significantly more risk than reward, such as replacing a toilet wax ring (in which I was certain I would botch if attempting on my own). JBL had recent positive reviews and also immediately responded to my request for a quote through Yelp (and he shared possible additional costs for issues that he may encounter). His pricing was very reasonable, and we were able to book an appointment on the same week. After receiving service and seeing his workmanship, I can definitely recommend his service to those looking for a plumber! He helped replaced two toilet wax rings and ensured that I was able to see the progress of the repairs, such as showing the broken wax rings, which is a level of transparency that I can truly appreciate. One of the toilets even had roots growing around the flange but I wasn't charged extra because he shared it was not too challenging to remove.
