I like this location because they have a larger food selection than the drive up stands. The parking is horrendous here and the cafe itself has maybe 5 tables. My coffee is always great and food is delicious. Some staff are friendlier than others but overall I've had good experiences. They are efficient. Music is sometimes loud in here but I don't mind it since I'm just ordering to go. I love their rising beans, I use them in my machine at home :)

Today's visit was awesome just like any other. I had my favorite best ever sandwich. Turkey Havarti with pickle, jalapeños chips and water today! What a treat! I'm so glad to be a customer and huge fan of Mercury Coffee Company! Staff was amazing and the atmosphere great - love the music you all play. Thanks for another great experience!

I was excited to have a Mercury Coffee near me since I heard good things about them. But man, this place was disappointing in all aspects. Parking is limited so if it gets busy, you might have to park across the street and walk over. I been here twice in a week hoping that my first trip was just a fluke but it wasn't. There was so many things that was wrong: 1) they messed up my order twice. The first time I ordered the cruffin with the bacon bits on top, they gave me the ones without, good thing I checked and they were able to change it. The second time I got a chipotle sandwich with a side of pickle and chips. They didn't give me the pickle... 2) originally I was going to order from the app but since I was already in the area, I went inside instead. On the app, it allows you to get the sandwich without the side, which subtract 75 cent from the total cost, but in store, they didn't let me do that at all... 3) food wise, everything was too big for one person to eat by themselves, they could make things smaller and cheaper in my opinion. I got a variety of items in between the 2 visits and the most disappointing items were the croissant and the butter cake... croissant was not flaky and had no layers, more bread like. The butter cake would have been ok if they told me to warm it up but they didn't... Overall, not my cup of tea

Our favorite coffee chain and we hadn't seen this location yet. Great, friendly staff. Lots of good patisseries to pick and a super clean coffee shop. Took the quiche and the holiday favorite of peppermint mocha. Both of them didn't disappoint! The only concern is the parking situation which is limited!

They have zero parking to park and enjoy the coffee inside the store. Zero parking ??!

Nice place. Nice staff and beautiful setup. But what's good this place will do without parking. Zero parking. They only have designated parking to order by phone from the car then run in the store to get your coffee and get out in five minutes before your car gets towed and this is according to their signs ?? How you even enjoy a cup of coffee with such stress ? How can they make such a huge financial investment in such a location with the worst parking lot ever. Did they expect people to just park across the street at Whole Foods parking lot and cross a busy four lanes street to get their cup of coffee ?? I honestly don't get it. The lack of parking situation has ruined the whole coffee experience. Terrible location.

Starting to become disappointed with this place. Second time they've messed up my order. It's a completely different color, a clear light pink and is missing the strawberry puree. The other drink also seems to be missing the extra lotus shot as well. Very sad.

Got one of the few tables and by an outlet with my 12 oz mocha.

Weird vibe here today. Not as friendly from staff as usual. One person at register completely ignored me and just batted her fake eye lashes like she didn't care and I am less than. Thankfully, the person next to her was the complete opposite and friendly. The drink was made to my specifications and tastes great.

TDLR: Don't order ahead at this location, they're too wrapped up in gossip to read properly. Don't go there if you're allergic to anything either, they're clearly not paying attention to their food orders. I'd imagine a brand new location would've brought competent employees with reading comprehension skills into their team. I imagined wrong. Where exactly on the sausage egg and beechers cheese sandwich is there supposed to be no mayo, no fucking cheese, and jalapeños? Oh right, there isn't any on there. They gave me the wrong sandwich and couldn't be bothered to answer the phone when I called for a replacement. Such bullshit. Edit to add: My order was placed on 12/8/24 at 9:21am, check #53. 1 Sausage, egg, and beechers sandwich for $11 freaking dollars and you couldn't even pick up the phone to replace or refund the item.

I absolutely love their specialty drinks like honey cardamom, and a shakerato. The vibe and atmosphere is wonderful. It's usually social and low-key but never too loud. They have excellent food, matcha with option to remove sugar (not all coffee shops have this!). Generally, I feel like their staff is really great! Love the location minus the issues with parking being tricky for a quick stop, sometimes need to pay. I keep coming back here! With gas prices over six dollars and budgets getting tighter for so many the one thing that hinders me is their prices. Their baseline drinks are an average of $5.75 + tip. Quiche slice is $8 two hard boiled eggs near $4. Typical typically if I'm gonna spend almost $10 I'd rather buy a fancy drink like a bubble tea or go out for an appetizer and food. When you own your own espresso machine and Matcha at home it's hard to justify getting such expensive drinks unless there is that "I can't make this at home" appeal - housemade syrups, Boba, etc I do love that urban coffee lounge has pour over options which can be time-consuming and cold brew, which is delicious and also more time-consuming. I appreciate their presence in the neighborhood. Having lived in Seattle for so long with so much access to incredible coffee I appreciate urban coffee lounges level of expertise with coffee. It is more rare on the east side. (Zoka is great of course!) And I will keep coming back, but sparingly due to prices. (Am I the only one who feels this way? Let me know!) Thanks for being here, urban coffee lounge!

They do have a restroom, plenty of seating outside, kinda limited seating inside. They do have a wide array of offerings. I got the spinach and feta quiche with a strawberry matcha. The spinach quiche was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed that. My strawberry matcha was not too sweet (I usually ask for everything half sweet and did not this time). The staff were friendly. Prices are reasonable for this day and age. I sat outside and enjoyed the sun! It's a great place to hang out, probably not great for groups unless you sit outside. Dogs are not allowed inside, so tie them up or have a buddy watch them while you go inside. Parking is street or under an apartment complex near by. Not sure if you pay or validate inside those apartment retail parking garages because I parked along the side streets. Park Mobile is the app you use to pay for parking. I paid about $4 ish for an hour. Overall, if I'm in the area and got the time to hangout, it's a cute place to do so.

We had seen several…read morepop up in the past, but hadn't seen anything interesting in the past few months, so we dropped in to ask about them. Apparently rather than being prescheduled most of the time, they are held on demand. We asked for an Oolong tasting session and was able to get one penciled in a couple of weeks later. The store itself is appropriately decorated for a modern and trendy tea shop. There's a bit of an overpowering perfume that lingers throughout the store. It's not the best setting for a tea tasting, especially when trying to differentiate tasting notes when the olfactory glands are already completely saturated with perfume. LizzyKate has a decent selection of true tea, nothing super unique or rare, but I think they lean towards the more accessible blends and tisanes in the first place. Oolong Tasting Class ($35/per person) - Tasting sessions are held in the bar area, brewed mostly using gaiwan with carefully measured water temperature and volume. The class provides some educational material including laminated papers describing the tea production process, growing regions, anatomy, etc. More importantly, unlike some other tasting sessions I've attended, they actually provide pencil and paper, along with brewing instructions, to write down cupping and tasting notes. It certainly beats taking notes on my phone as I usually do. For this course, we tasted a white tea and four different oolongs. My personal tasting notes as follows (for future reference for myself): Bai Mu Dan - Mild, mellow, sweet and slightly astringent flavor with notes of honey and hay. Light golden liquid that's very easy to drink. Tie Guan Yin - Caramelized sweetness, vegetal leafy with a tiny earthy element. Darker golden color with more astringency and round lingering taste. The leaves smell smoky and roasted. Baihao - The smell is distinctively roasty and earthy, approaching the fermented smell of puerh. It has a brownish color and tastes smoky and earthy like peat. Formosa Oolong - It tastes of malt and molasses, with a certain oxidized toastiness. The color is more dark brown although it's not very astringent given the color. Osmanthus Oolong - This smells more malty and surprisingly not that flowery in aroma. The mouthfeel is extremely creamy and silky, almost like milk with the balanced taste of barley and hops with only a slight osmanthus flowery taste in the background. I think the base used is Jin Xuan given the milkiness. With the tasting also comes some treats including mini muffins and some tea infused bars from a chocolatier in Singapore, Fossa Chocolate. I think LizzyKate is more geared towards people who don't have much experience with tea and want a place that's extremely welcoming and modern. They have lattes and plenty of herbal and fruity infusions to help beginners ease into the complexities of tea, While this shop isn't for me, more tea shops are always welcome in the area. I'd definitely recommend it to my friends who want to dip their toes into the world of tea. Bathrooms - Single unisex room.

We got to sample five teas and several pieces of chocolate, as well as snacks to clear the palate between teas. We learned about tea and how its harvested, as well as the processing of tea. We also learned about the tea flavor wheel and identified tea tasting notes in the sampled teas. I do wish there was more of a compare and contrast between the teas - it would have been cool to try the same teas but early vs late season, or tea processed similarly but from different regions. If you're new to tea though, the classes are perfect for you!

THRULINE COFFEE @ DOWNTOWN KIRKLAND…read more Parking is available along the street, and there are also multiple parking lots throughout downtown Kirkland. I ended up parking near the small plaza with the UPS Store and Nothing Bundt Cakes, and it was only about a 3-minute walk to get there. When I walked in around 9:30 AM on a Tuesday, it was already pretty packed. There were a lot of people on their laptops, grabbing coffee, and just hanging out, it felt super lively. I love the overall environment of downtown Kirkland, so I was really excited to finally try this spot since it's been on my radar for a while. I was also meeting a friend, which made the experience even better. I ordered their pizza scone, and it looked so good, and it definitely delivered. It was warm, crusty, and had such a unique flavor combination. I've honestly never had anything like it before, and it just felt perfect for a spring morning. I also got a hot chocolate, which wasn't my favorite. It leaned more on the watery side. The space itself is really nice and spacious. They have plenty of seating in both the front and back, which is great whether you're meeting friends or getting work done. Their menu is also pretty extensive, with options like sandwiches, pastries, drip coffee, matcha, vanilla lattes pretty much everything you'd expect from a café. One thing I appreciated was how fast the service was. Our order came out in less than two minutes, which was impressive, especially given how busy it was. The staff were also super friendly, which always makes a difference. Overall, I really enjoyed the vibe here. Even though the hot chocolate could've been better, I'd still definitely come back and try more items.
