Each stylist here rents a chair where their individual hair technique is allowed to "shine." (Yes, bad pun...) Think at last count there was 8/9 chairs and Devan told me there's 2 male stylists and the rest are female. Location is slightly hard to find but once you know to walk into the courtyward of where Campagne is, not too hard to remember. Inside is clean and has a natural product smell/fragrance?! Healthy, not like chemically chain type. Groovy music is played (was there this past Saturday AM with Hall & Oates /MJ on the speakers) Services are pricey but well worth the treat for self-indulgence. (Try it and tell me what you think.) I wanted so much to love this salon. It is near my home and it looked so chic and welcoming. I'm…read morenot completely upset with my experience there, but sadly, I will not be going back. To start, they do not post their hours anywhere because they prefer to have scheduled appointments only and deter walk-ins. This didn't bother me, but it took a few tries of walking by and peeking in before I was able to catch them while they were open and get a consult. I asked for a price quote for a balayage hair color for my short-to-medium-length hair. I was quoted $200. That is my entire annual hair budget (and then some) but I went for it. During my appointment, I showed the stylist, who scheduled my appointment and did the consult, the video of the balayage color that I wanted to try and achieve. I know that stylists are not wizards and I did not expect it to be perfect. I stayed engaged during the entire process and made it very clear that I didn't want the color to go all the way to the root (because I'm not good at keeping up with it and didn't want hard lines as the hair grew out). The color I asked for had a combination of my naturally dark hair with gradually lighter coloring toward the front. What I received was not even relatively close to the video I showed the stylist. I ended up with completely dark hair with two 1-inch golden blond streaks in the front and a few oddly placed, stringy blond streaks scattered throughout the rest of my hair. All of the color went all the way up to my root, so it will grow out with hard lines. She did a great job with the cut, I was a bit hesitant with the color while I was still in the chair, so both the stylist and I agreed that I would reach out in a few days to let her know how I was feeling and if I wanted any changes made, which I really appreciated. By that evening I had firmly decided that the color was not working for me and I wanted it changed as soon as possible. Since then (approximately 4 weeks), I have reached out to the salon three separate times and have never received a call back. I haven't been able to catch the salon when it's open to walk in and ask for help getting the color fixed. I haven't completely given up on getting ahold of someone but I'm not optimistic. I also am not in a position to pay to get it fixed by them or anyone else. Others may have had absolutely great experiences, which is wonderful, but unfortunately I did not.

However, I was hoping to eliminate the gold and brassy tones so I requested a cooler base color with contrasting highlights. The result looked great even when my hair was still wet. She did a wonderful job styling (I have some frizz) and my hair looked sleek and polished when she was done. The salon is cute and has a friendly feeling. Also, the chairs in the shampoo room are the most comfortable that I've experienced. Plus, after conditioning, she placed a pre-warmed towel on my head as a pampered touch. I received a base touch-up, highlights, and a toner for a more than reasonable price. I'm definitely returning and have pre-booked my appointment for next month

In retrospect I remember that Antonio did Not show me the back of my head! It was days later when the other nurses I work with commented on how bad the back of my head looked and asked why none of the grey was blended into the rest of my hair, causing it to have a tacky chunky look. Please keep in mind that I had a lengthy consultation before my hair was touched and I expressed wanting a medium size foil and used my fingers to show how wide I wanted. He also said that his partial foils start at the temples to crown. Antonio ONLY foiled my hair from crown to cheek bone and so I had only a layer ( few inches ) of color on top. HE NEVER PUT ANY COLOR IN MY GREY HAIRLINE Keeping in mind that I was so blinded by his phenomena haircut and blow out that I kept telling him how much I loved it. After I saw the back of my head and had negative comments about the color I messaged him about how bad the color is and I sent him the exact same pic of the color that I am posting on here. Desperate to get halfway livable color I convinced myself to give him a benefit of the doubt that he could correct his work, I told him I would let him touch it based solely on his reviews. In r retrospect my guess is that the reviews are either very old or faked. Ultimately he refused to refund me one penny and offered to put a toner on. That's rediculous because what I needed was More bleach not darker. Keep in mind that I showed him pictures of the color I wanted during the consultation. Then he said that he would charge me $220 dollars to fix it. What I need is a COLOR CORRECTION. I'm getting upset writing this review. I didn't want the negative energy of reliving all of this but kept imagining some poor woman having him color her hair for the holidays and felt an obligation to let you know precisely what he did. These pic were taken a few days after the color and are the same ones I sent him when I asked for refund. I went in not knowing much about color and feel a little taken advantage of. I was clear in the beginning I didn't want red / yellow tints in my hair which is what I ended up with. We could've added more glaze to cover it up but Lan wanted to leave for the Friday. When I said the result was too orangey, she said my hair would change in the sun and her lighting was warm and it only looks like that in the top part of my head because that part is much more dense. I went to another salon to correct the color who thought I'd done it myself from a box. They told me that it was strange that Lan didn't use foil to lighten the hair and the lightest hair would get with that method was orange. They said the only reason to not use foil is the amount of time it took which checked out with how rushed it felt. I had to go to another salon and sit in a chair for six hours to take out the remaining red Orange with foil. I was also told the color job was uneven and was lifting unevenly. Overall it was a total waste of money and a half ass job. Instead of owning up to anything, Lan gave me excuses saying the uneven application made it look natural, etc. She was super friendly and personable though.

The lady who answered the phone requested that I come in for a 'consultation' first before allowing me to make an appointment for the actual foil. As much as I tried to tell her that I had simply been asking for a full foil, she refused to schedule an appointment without a prior consultation. I have never had this happen before. They clearly are not interested in new clients. Hugely dissappointed! Especially her unwillingness to do the consultation (as stylists have done so in the past) and actual treatment right after the consultation. NEVER AGAIN!
