Got this for the first time the other day. The crab Rangoon were pretty good but they had a lot of filing. Which my husband liked but it was a little too much for my liking. My husband got the chicken Pad Thai with a level 7 spice and seemed to like his, but he did say it was even a little spicy for him. ( He LOVES spice). So be careful before you just go for a 10 spice! I got the beef Pad Thai with spice level 1 to be safe. I like some spice not a lot. Mine had almost no flavor at all. My noodles were very dry and absolutely no spice. We had 3 orders of Pad Thai to go and they were not the greatest. When it comes to iPad That, I compare everybody to Mai Thai on Center. These guys were Ok, but nowhere near the quality of Mai That. I've had a serious Thai food craving for the past couple of weeks. So what do I do to celebrate getting halfway through the work week? That's right. I get Thai. Upon entering the restaurant, there was no staff to seat us so I went to the counter and we were quickly assisted. I noticed most of the staff was in the kitchen cooking as there were several take out customers coming in and out. We were seated and brought drinks right away. I decided to try the spring roll appetizer and it did not let me down. Crispy carrots and crunchy cucumbers paired with a sweet chili sauce make this a light appetizer that you can feel good about. After demolishing the spring rolls, I moved on to my main dish which was Chicken Pad Thai that featured crushed peanuts and a lime wedge as garnish. Overall, the food was great and the service was good. This is a must try place due the the flavor and quality of the food, however expect to spend some time here as service can be on the slow side. read more

This was not very good Thai food. I'm reaching for something positive to say but the nub of the issue is that it just didn't taste very good. It didn't have a lot of taste period. Mediocre at best. Also, I found the service to be so so. Granted it was carry out and maybe I caught the hostess at an off-moment, but I found her cool and aloof. I do not recommend getting this Thai food. I'm from out of town, I live in Colorado, and was visiting family and so I can't recommend better options. I've been here for both lunch and dinner, both times the service was timely, reasonably priced, and the food was good. I havent ventured too far outside of the beef salad and larb but have been wanting to try their curries. I had a bit of tofu pad thai and thought the flavors were great. My one watch out for those of you who are sensitive to spice, order 1-2 levels below what your gut tells you to; they're 1-10 scale is an authentic one if you catch my drift. I had a 6 and thought the flavors were great, not too spicy but perhaps a 4-5 would have been better for tasting all the delightful flavors they pack into their dishes. Their thai tea is a great option too, especially to level out whichever spice level you choose. I'll for sure be back, perhaps this time to try the curry. read more

Mercy Thai is in the same plaza as Korea King! Once the GPS brought us there, I nearly had to put blinders on myself to keep from walking into Korea King instead (one of my favorite places to eat, but far from home we dont make it here nearly as often as I would like). It's nice that there are now TWO trusty Asian places to eat in the same strip plaza! The restaurant is reasonably priced, and modestly decorated. There is a sitting/waiting area for take out patrons, and about 10 tables inside. The menu was authentic, with a great variety of food. We started with eggrolls and then had some pad thai and pad see ew. Both were just as tasty as my favorite place near us downtown-which is awesome, they are tough to beat! We capped off the meal with the sticky rice and coconut milk over mango dessert, a Thai staple. The service was delightful and the staff was pleasant. Definitely a great start to them joining the Omaha Thai scene. Hope to dine here again soon! read more

Good overall, and I plan to come back to try another dish. I tried the fresh spring rolls and chicken pad Thai for lunch today. The spring rolls were on point, pretty similar to most places. The rice wrapper was nice and tight around the veg. The sauce that comes with it is quite spicy, but not the peanut sauce I've come to expect with this appetizer. I would rate the pad Thai at a 7/10. The sauce had a nice flavor but was missing something. The tamarind flavor didn't come through as strong and the dish needed some acid. The dish was a tad more oily than I prefer. The chicken was tender and plentiful. I got a 2 spice level which was very mild. I'll probably order a 5 next time. One of my coworkers tried the chicken fried rice (not a very adventurous eater) and said it was pretty bland. My other coworker order the pad woon sen (clear noodles) and had the same issues I did with the sauce lacking some flavor. I couldn't decide between a noodle dish or a curry, so I'll have to come back to give their red or Panang curry a try. The decor is simple and clean, with bright blue paint on the walls. Whoa Nelly, this place knows how to spice it up! I ordered a 4, thinking it would be safe on a 1-10 scale and WOW. It was almost too hot for me and I like a little heat, albeit not too much. I'm glad I ordered my mini me a 2! Flavor in their tofu Pad Thai was excellent, service friendly and prompt. This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the Omaha area. The best red curry I have ever had!!!! The service could be better, and make sure you order double meat... otherwise you don't get much. But the flavor of the food has me hooked. 2019 update: Used to always have to order double meat but they have improved! Still love this place- I moved to the east coast and dream about this place often... still looking for similar style of Thai out here with no luck. I always visit when I'm in Omaha. read more

I have overlooked certain Thai spots in Omaha for too long. I was a Salween mainstay until their quality & consistency dropped off in a big way this past couple years - Mercy Thai definitely filled the hole in my heart (and my stomach) that Salween left and I will most definitely return. Some details: We went this past weekend for our first ever pickup order, and it was absolutely packed. The staff was very apologetic for the wait, but we didn't mind. We ordered the Pad Thai, Green Curry, Crab Rangoons and Chicken Satay. Everything was excellent except for maybe the Chicken Satay, which seemed to have toughened up after sitting for a while. Not a major issue, as we had plenty of food. If you like your rangoons on the sweeter side, this place is for you. I really appreciated the chewy, perfectly cooked texture of my Pad Thai, which was sufficiently spicy and flavorful. I also liked that the noodles were slightly wider than those I've had at other places. The Green Curry had lots of eggplant which is my favorite. If you enjoy Thai food and you're looking for a new place to try, I'd highly recommend giving Mercy Thai a chance. read more

Simply. The. Best! This was quite possibly the BEST ever Thai food I've tasted! The aromas! The authentic color of freshly prepared food (NOT that fake orange Pad Thai, all gooey). The intricate layers of flavors and textures! We enjoyed Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Pad See Ew, and my entree was Green Curry. Los Angeles native here. Really impressed with the Pad Thai & Pad See Ew! I did not expect a Thai restaurant in Omaha to be this delicious! Definitely comparable to some of the best Thai restaurants in San Francisco and Los Angeles. I ordered a "6" spicy level and it was a bit spicy for me and I am an avid spice eater. I would order a "5" spicy level next time so that I can enjoy the meal a little more. I've tried the world's spiciest pepper, Carolina Reaper, before and I use that as a benchmark for all things spicy. If you're a hot Cheetos fan then a "4" or "5" would probably be ideal for you. If you order a level "10" spicy, you better beg for "Mercy"! One complaint is that the person taking my order on the phone should have been more clear that both the dishes I order was going to be level 6 spicy. I ordered my dish last and I had thought she only asked for my order because she was referring to "how spicy do you want it". My wife did not wanted any spicy level for her Pad See Ew so she was disappointed when she had to eat a 6! She still said the food tastes good. I'm not a big Thai food fan, but this is probably the best Thai in the south (Papillion, LaVista, Ralston) area of Omaha

Tagged along with 8 other co-workers for lunch. The overall seating size of the restaurant was a little smaller than I thought it was going to be, but enough to fit about 30 or so people. The average review rating was pretty spot on. Mercy Thai seems to have good dishes at okay prices (for the main entrees at least). I personally think the eggrolls were kind of small, didn't have the best ratio of ingredients (a little more cabbage than the other things; chicken, noodles, etc.), and I'm not a fan of places that make you buy a minimum of 4 at a time. However, they are entirely bad. They were crispy and deep fried nicely with no burn spots and decently seasoned. The chicken satay on the skewers were pretty good. The chicken was cooked nicely, retaining it's juices and moisture and flavored with a turmeric/curry type seasoning. I got the Drunken Noodles with a spice level of 9 (because I love spicy foods and to be honest 90% of the restaurant's I've been to in Omaha have been don't have that spicy of foods. NOTE: Some of my Indian co-workers said their level 7's and 8's were too spicy for them. So you be the judge of what your spice levels are.). I thought it was a really good drunken noodle dish. It had a hint of spice with each bite. The noodles and sauce were flavorful and I couldn't stop eating the soft veggies. Although I never got my glass of water refilled (even after asking), it was still a good Thai restaurant. During the lunch time hours it was full, but the food still came out fairly quick. I believe the rest of my coworkers enjoyed their foods and prices weren't overly expensive. It's probably a Thai restaurant I'd go to again if I were in the area, but not go out of my way to eat. read more

I think I just found my favorite Thai restaurant in Omaha. The place is small, but clean and has nice Thai decor. The service was friendly and pretty fast---we went on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy. We ordered the chicken pad thai, fried tilapia with ground pork and eggplant, and beef with bell peppers and basil. The food came out in large portions, the flavors were on point, and the prices were decent. I can't wait to go back and try more items on their menu. read more

I had Drunken Noodles for the first time and they were delicious. I have to admit that I've never had Thai food before but I did some research before making a decision on where to order. The food was good, the customer service was great. The young man that took my order was very pleasant and explained some of the dishes to me for the next time I try Thai. Let me start by saying we used SkipTheDishes for delivery to our house and could not be more displeased. Awful and rude customer service and it took 2 hours to get our food. We would never use them again. With that being said our food was AMAZING! Our food sat for 1.5 hours (we confirmed this with the restaurant) and it was still the best Thai food we have ever had. We both had Pad Thai and the flavor was unlike anything we have had before. We also loved the crab rangoons we got! When we called the restaurant to find out why our order took so long, the lady on the phone was extremely nice and apologetic even though it was not their fault. I absolutely love Thai food so when I found one relatively close to my hotel that got good reviews I decided to give it a shot. Upon walking in I was not greeted and couldn't find an employee. Not a huge deal because everyone was in the kitchen working hard. Seems like they get a lot of delivery and take out orders. I was pleasantly surprised that they played Christian music on their radio. Explains the name of the business! I can't remember the name of what I ordered but the spiciness was perfect at a 5 on a 1-10 scale. Ingredients were extremely fresh and the flavors weren't missing anything. Everything I have tried here is great! Pad gra prow is really good - different from other Thai spots here in town. The chicken is more grounded/minced and it's served with a sunny side up egg.
