Absolutely no regrets throwing away that 1st deposit because our experience at Anthony Wayne House was fantastic! They worked with us in every way possible to make the day special. The location is gorgeous. Our coordinator Heather was always responsive and patient with our million questions. The Penrose Suite was perfect for our makeup & hair stylists to prepare our girls for the wedding. The Airstream Trailer was a really fun spot for the guys to hang & do a little putting on the green before the wedding, and the venue pictures don't do it justice. The weather drizzled off & on all day, but at the last minute it cleared and the staff rushed to prep the pergola area so we could have the beautiful outdoor ceremony we had envisioned. Due to the unpredictable weather, cocktail hour was set up inside. Because the weather cleared, the staff was very flexible and set up tables outside - so cocktail hour was held both inside & out. And the food! It was awesome. Everyone raved about it and the beautiful location. Even the wedding cake was absolutely delicious! Changing our venue to Anthony Wayne was the best decision we made. The outdoor wedding space was surrounded by woods and had a pergola in the front. The area was surrounded by historic buildings. There was enough room for an outdoor cocktail hour, with some high-top tables and a few normal tables as well. The reception space was an all-weather tent of sorts, with fans, stringed lights, and solid structure that has plastic walls that could be connected in the case of a storm. There was also a fire pit area, which was really nice. The couple chose to make this a smoking/cigar celebratory area, which worked really well. The cocktail hour was very good. Drinks were tasty and strong, and the hors d'oeuvres (many hot butlered plus a meat, cheese, bread, and vegetable table) were varied and delicious. The main course and desserts were very good as well- not standard bland wedding fare. Your place card corresponded to the dinner choice, so at the bottom of my place card was an outline of a carrot to denote that I had ordered the vegetarian entree option. This was an interesting idea (so that the waiters wouldn't have to double-check and take order), but the waiters did seem to have a hard time serving and looking to see what each person ordered and distributing appropriately. Overall, this venue was beautiful. It is for someone who wants to have an outdoors-y wedding and reception and caters to a very specific clientele as such, but everything was great.

Joyce Dugan from the Saturday Club was nice and easy to work with. Since they didn't have a Friday event, they gave us keys on Friday and allowed us to do set up Friday evening and Saturday morning. They did provide the tables and chairs and set them up on Friday for us which was awesome. The employee Chris was there in the office during the wedding if we needed anything. The place is really cute and was the perfect size for our wedding. We had just the perfect amount of room for the number of table and chairs we used and enough room on the dance floor. There is a little area/ private room near the bathrooms that serves as the bridal suite and also a great place to nurse my son and for other nursing moms. The price was great and I love what the money goes towards. I would absolutely recommend this for a wedding of 50-90 guests or for other events. This would also be a great spot for bridal and baby showers. And they worked so well with our caterer. We put the photo booth in the front vestibule area. I am at the point where everytime i think about our wedding day i regret where it was done and if i could have reversed time and picked somewhere else, or even gone to the courthouse like we originally planned we would have been happier. getting in contact with your planner is so hard, it would take days to respond. we didnt even get to pick our cake flavor or anything like that until two days before (which they got wrong, we asked for chocolate and got vanilla). thats not even the part where im upset, we spent an EXTRA 300$ on a wedding video. after our wedding we received an email stating that we should be getting it in a few days. a week passed by and nothing, i emailed them and waited another week for a response and found out that they LOST OUR WEDDING VIDEO and is looking for it. my husband then emailed but with no response. another week went by and i texted them and was left in read for about 1-2 days before they told me that they figured out the problem on the technical side but no luck on our video, we should be getting a refund in about 10 days. it has been OVER 10 ten days and we have received nothing so i have texted them AGAIN and got left on read, which lead to another text a week later and still left on read and ignored. its sad to see this company more active on instagram than their clients. im grateful for the beautiful day i got with my friends and family, but i wish we picked somewhere else. i am heartbroken. we have no way to look back on our special day except with iphone pictures my friends and family took. we had a friend record the whole wedding and told him we didnt need it because we were getting a professional one done, so he deleted it. we understand they are very busy people, but when you screw up so bad like losing a whole wedding video you should be a little more caring than you are. reading these reviews have showed us that we have been treated worlds differently than other couples, unfortunately not in a good way. thank you elegant celebrations, for making our day definitely something we wont forget.

One of the biggest things I will point out, Jessica has zero, zero communication with her team (photographer, DJ, cake decorator and even staff about clients expectations) that was very apparent at our event. Biggest proof - image of cake sent to Jessica as a sample was pink and gold, our color scheme was purple black and gold. Our cake was made PINK and gold!! So much to say but not enough space here. I had siblings and even my children come and tell me staff were rude. One instance was when guest weren't allowed out of the main room. I went to a girl specifically and spoke to her in Spanish and asked her WHY, because when my guest would ask her she wouldn't speak to them in English. I had several guest complain that staff were rude or didn't speak English and made NO effort to help guest with the excuse of not knowing English. I don't have an issue with not knowing English but I have an issue with being rude or not being helpful in this type of industry. If you don't understand what guests are asking hey someone who can help. I didn't not see nor know about Jessica until late in the evening. She knew I was upset her staff throughout the night knew I was upset about things YET at no time did any of them come to find out what was wrong or how things could be remedied. At the end of the night when we were getting our personal items, there were empty boxes left over. Jessica was so rude and told us we needed to take out empty boxes with us!! Essentially we had to take out trash with us. You're going to tell me you don't have dumpsters there!! The decor was nice BUT it wasn't what our expectations were. Again due to lack of communication, out silhouette dance was horrible!! Could not be seen what was happening, because the big frame was out in front of the curtains. If I would have been told that was going to be there we would have done the presentation differently all I was told was the curtains would be there and the "x" to step on. Tables, the way we were explained or made to think, the Quinceñeras table for her and her court would be a special table. Not only was her table exactly like everyone else's it was setup where guests could NOT see her!! My final take is this.... that because I didn't spend $20-30,000 I wasn't given the top notch service we were expecting. IF I would have been told based on my $10,300 bill I was going to get a basic setup I wouldn't have had SUCH high expectations. Instead no we were constantly told everything was going to be awesome. Lastly due to to many issues. Due to me being upset and things not being what we expected my daughter cried at her table. This alone broke my heart to know my daughter had cried on her day!! Thank goodness I was not made aware that this happened until the next day because I don't know how I would have reacted that night. In the end I was sooo Disappointed. I has such HIGH expectations, not only because of what was always presented on social media for this location BUT because I have known the owner and of her work for so long. I NEVER even considered going elsewhere for this event BECAUSE of the high expectations and what we thought was such wonderful work. Sadly I cannot say I will ever give a recommendation. Not unless they plan on spending $25,000-$30,000 and even then can't believe you would get top notch service. To this date NO effort was made to enquire about my disappointment, if anything I was met with rudeness and attitude at the end of the night. So sorry I won't recommend this event venue ever.

The food was mediocre. The chicken was burnt and dry, the salmon was thin and tiny pieces. Steak was also mediocre compared to the tasting. According to the hosts, the food at the tasting was NOT the same food that was served at the event. They said the food at the tasting was way better and if it wasn't up to par then other food or another event space would've been used. Extra money was paid for green beans but it didn't come out until later when everyone had their dinner already. There was supposed to be fog/smoke used but it wasn't used. Extra money was paid for a Champagne Wall but the glasses were filled with juice instead of champagne. They said juice was used to avoid underage drinking. While we appreciate that concern, we should've been told ahead of time that juice would be used. A " champagne " wall was agreed on, NOT a JUICE wall. Also there's only 1 bathroom for the ladies' room so keep that in mind. The best part of this event was the open bar. This place has a lot of potential but needs to work on their communication skills.
