Panka Rita

I always come here for good food. I usually get the Lomi Saltado but I tried the Chaufa this time. Flavorful & huge portion. The Panka Rita is perfect. Amaya is a great server and very attentive.

Good Peruvian food in Doral, Loved the decor- almost Wynwood like (artsy and Woody). Went there for lunch a Saturday afternoon, Our friends had arrived earlier and seemed to have enjoyed their food. Our order came out rather quick and it was good. Service was also good Would recommend

Chicha Morada ($3.50)

I had a fairly mixed experience here ... first off, the food was quite good and of perceptibly high quality, so my hats off to the chefs, they did their job, and they did it well. As far as the staff went ... we had two servers. One was nice. The other ... not so much. The seats were uncomfortable, but there was plenty of parking out front. ... and theeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn there's the receipt. See the attached images. No, your eyes are not imagining things: they appear to make a 15% "tip" *mandatory* as part of the bill. Now personally, I think gratuities in the restaurant industry are a scam in general for the restaurant owners to avoid paying a living wage to their servers. That said, although I've never been a server, I'm going to say it looks like a very hard job, and I strongly support properly tipping servers for good service - which we did get from 1 out of 2 our servers that night. So in a way, perhaps it's a good thing that Chullos ensures that every diner kicks in 15%, so that the more generous patrons amongst us aren't subsidizing the cheap bastards who don't tip at all (even when a 15-20% tip is totally called for), or who undertip. On the other hand, it does take away control from diners to determine the appropriate amount to tip. I've tipped anywhere from 10-25%+, depending on how much effort I felt my server was putting in. Therefore, I do see a downside to a fixed 15% "gratuity" - sometimes it might be appropriate, sometimes it might be too little, sometimes it might be too much. Case in point: the "nice" server we had probably deserved closer to 20% (had she been our sole server). The "not so nice" server we had should've considered herself lucky had we left her 10%, assuming tipping less than 15% was an option (had she been our sole server). As a matter of principle, making a "tip" mandatory completely contradicts the purportedly discretionary nature of the "tip". Just nitpicking, but I would prefer the restaurant either all the mandatory 15% "tip" a "service charge", or just increase the wages of their staff, and instruct patrons to refrain from tipping (à la SUGARFISH). Anyway, I think I've ranted about this long enough. The End.

What a great find! Peruvian tastes with some favorites such as plantains, sopas and many many seafood options. The service was fantastic, Peruvian beer was nice but most importantly our food was so good. Shareable portions and just a nice experience. It's a non-pretentious location, nice clean dining room.

Ceviche was awesome plate of anticuchos on point and a plate of octopus mixed with can't recall but it was delicious recent trip to Miami from California to meet an old class mate happened to land us here great atmosphere pleasant staff but absolutely delicious food very hard to find all these at once. Will be back 2023.

Baked corn & delicious passion fruit drink

Chullos is the perfect place to go for a lunch or dinner. Robust as well as light menu options. I took a week off drom work and wound up in Miami Fl right next to this wonderful place. Service was wonderful. The food was out of this world. Their baked corn snack was amazing. I didnt ask what it was called. It looked like salted & baked corn seeds. For an appetizer I selected with recommendation from the server, the Entre redes which consisted of the catch of the day fish, calamari, octopus, shrimp, mussels in a dji amarillo sauce deliciously seasoned to perfection. this was served as a ceviche. I enjoyed a tequila and passion fruit drink with my late lunch. For the main course the peruvian world famous Lomo Saltado which consisted of wok flambéed tenderloin, onion and tomatoes. The dish was accompanied by rice and fries which were elevated with a light seasoning. I would recommend Chullos to visitors or native Floridians.

We were a party of three. We arrived close to 2. It was nor crowded, we all sit outside (only option good) the waitress was very nice and polite. We ordered two Maracuya Sours and a Maracuya juice. The waitress gave us enough time to order (we were really talking too much lol). The menu had plenty of option and we opted to order ceviche, leche de tigre, tallarines verdes, pulpo and jalea. The food was AMAZING. As a peruvian I feel so happy and proud when I share with people from different countries our signature dishes. My friends ended up enjoying the food all the way! To finish we order picarones and a lucuma mousse dessert. The picarones were not as tasty. But still didn't ruin the experience at all! I totally recommend this place. It is delicious and most importantly I felt safe all the time.

Pescado Macho Corvi

Very delicious and nice casual ambiance. First time at this restaurant and the food was . Excellent service, too. The server was always attentive. The actual restaurant itself is small. I was surprised to know they offered Happy Hour at 9PM on a Saturday! I ordered a cocktail the server recommended but it wasn't good.. no ice at all and just very watered down. However, the food was amazing! We ordered a couple dishes to share: A Classic Ceviche, Pescado a lo Macho and the Mar y Tierra Chaufa. Everything was so flavorful, prices are okay since most of the dishes are shareable. Highly recommend!

Pretty good food most of the time but it seems that the last couple months every time I go in for lunch there is some sort of issue with the order. This time in the party I was with there was a hot meat appetizer which was served cold We let the server know who advised what appeared to be the manager who had the cook make it again which was nice of her. However it took a very long time to get that replacement back, we were basically done with the rest of the meal by the time I came back to us. The last time we went there prior to this a few months ago we also had a poor experience where we had to wait an extremely long time for our food. This restaurant seem to have had better service and organization when they first opened, I'm not sure what has happened lately but I hope that they can get it together because their food is actually pretty good.

Wowwww! The food in this place was unbelievable. Started with Ceviche a la Brasa and the Pulpo a la Parilla. The ceviche had a so much yummy goodness in the sauce and the portion was plenty enough to share and then some. It was perfectly acidic and flavorful. The pulpo was by far my favorite item we had. It was tender and perfectly grilled and seasoned. The sauce it comes with is extremely spicy but not even needed. For main course I tried the lomo saltado risotto. I for one when I order lomo love to drench my rice in the yummy lomo sauce and this was basically what this was. It was saucy and the meat perfectly cooked. The portions in this place are big enough to share and prices were reasonable. I deducted one star since service was great but the food took soooo long to come out. They really do make everything to order on the spot so we had to wait for the dishes to come out, but they were worth the wait. Will be coming back soon to try other plates.

Lomo Saltado

Good spot for some Peruvian food. Came here for lunch with coworkers and had a good experience. Service, ambience and food were all good. As far as their plates, they have all the staples and I went for one of them, Lomo Saltado. It was cooked well and wasn't overwhelming in Soy Sauce, the rice could've been a little softer but nonetheless it was tasty. Another dish that was popular among the table was the Tacu Tacu a lo Pobre, it was well received. We were a party of 7 and had no issues when it came to giving the staff 7 different cards. Restaurant is located in a busy shopping center so do come prepared to park a little further but there is plenty of parking space.

Anticuchos
Will D.

Absolutley wonderful experience and intro to Peruvian cuisine. Went in for dinner. Staff was attentive and patient; saw our uncertainty and came to the rescue with insight on all of the menu choices - making suggestions based on our feedback. With recommendations in-hand, my coworker and I ordered Lomo Saltado. The beef was cooked perfectly medium rare as requested; savory flavor. I mowed through this dish - it was delicious. One side of rice, compliments the beef very nicely. *As a 2nd side I would highly recommend ditching the french fries for the black beans. I was floored by the beans... outstanding flavor of spices, minced tomato and minced onion. Top shelf beans, if that's your thing!* I stepped out of my typical comfort lane and also ordered the Anticuchos... coal grilled veal heart. Never would I have guessed I'd enjoy it so much. Good char, moist and seasoned well. Great recommendation by the staff. Finally, we had a dessert - I'm sorry I didn't get the name but you can figure it out with some help from the staff. Mousse made from a fruit (I wasn't familiar with the type) but it tasted like butterscotch. Served over a brownie - very rich but very awesome. At what cost did you pay for such a great time, you might ask? Total without tip was $48.10? Get out of town! I'd pay that price all day long. Rounding this review out: Great experience, great staff, great food. What else would do you need in a new dining experience?

Peruvian IPA was good too if you're into IPAs. Not too hoppy or heavy.

So delicious. Just go here. Order meat. Enjoy. Haven't had Peruvian in years. This was a very modern restaurant, clean, attentive and quick staff. Our server was helpful with suggestions. I get a little nervous with food allergies but she made sure I got what I needed. Our food came out quickly, which was good because we'd been driving for 5 hours and hadn't stopped for lunch. Steak was cooked perfectly. I liked the sauce on my SOs lomo saltado but I liked my steak a little better, probably because I can't eat the onion that came with his though. The salad was simple, but I loved the presentation and everything in it was crispy and very fresh. Highly recommend this place! I liked the upbeat music & decor too.

It was tart with a slight heat from the chili, with cilantro, thinly sliced red onion, sweet potato, and giant corn - nicely salty. The fish was fresh, and was nicely marinated. The Causa Ganadora was very good - cold mashed potato with Peruvian red pepper, oil, and lime, serviced with panko shrimp with a maracuya sauce. The panko shirmp was lightly crisp. The Lomo Saltado was good, too. The meat was tender, the fries were good, onions, and tomatoes with a side of rice. The Parihuela Acevichada was very tasty, served hot, with corvina, shrimp, squid, and musssels. To drink, I tried the Chicha Morada, with purple corn, pineapple, clove, and cinnamon was good. My server was friendly. It's a small place, with a small bar.

We really had never tried Ceviche before, but the online menu really looked spectacular. Our waitress was Angie, and she was fantastic. Such a great personality, and she went out of her way to explain all the details before we ordered. It's actually disappointing that we are just passing through and may never go back, because I would seriously like to try every last item. Rather than bore you with the list of everything we ordered, I'll share what we considered to be the best of the best. CALAMARI... we both love calamari, and we have eaten this dish at many different places. This was the best ever. Perfect. CEVICHE DE SALMON EN CANASTA DE TOSTON... seriously one of the most delicious things I have ever put in my mouth. While we did order both the ceviche camaron and the ceviche trio mixto, the hands-down winner, no questions asked, was the CEVICHE DIVINO. We finished with the TORTA DE CHOCOLATE and the smoothest, creamiest cup of coffee ever. My wife is a chocolate cake expert, and while I was finishing all the ceviche, she was having an out of body experience with the cake. I have to say that while we are borderline foodies and love cooking and eating, we probably are not the most adventurous. So glad today was different, and so thrilled with our decision to eat here. 10/10

The acevichado de tuna was sliced high grade ahi tuna, sliced avocado and drenched in a Creamy Ají Amarillo Sauce, very fresh and flavorful. The Muraski roll consisted of breaded shrimp, avocados, and cream cheese topped with slices of octopus and olive sauce. This was a spectacular roll with plump shrimps and the tasty olive sauce. For the main entree we ordered the Seafood rice and their sliced steak with shrimp sitting on top of cilantro risottos. Both dishes were exceptional but the steak was perfection tender and well seasoned.
