Went here based on the great reviews. Cheesy bread was great as well as greek salad. Pizza was just okay. The big negative was the slow, slow service. Took a very long time to get food, then had to ask for more napkins and silverware more than once and it never came. Finally, i had to get up from table to ask for to go boxes and check. Conveniently located near most of the beach condos in Destin, but because of this, they are very busy during normal meal hours. We tried to order our pizzas online around 6PM and it indicated that, including delivery time, it would take an hour and a half for it to arrive.. which is kind of ridiculous in my opinion. We ended up having some of us drive and pick it up because that cut the time to an hour wait. I ended up sharing a medium pesto chicken pizza. It wasn't greasy/oily, which I liked, but the flavor was a little bland. However, I'd rather it be a little plain than over salted (you can always add seasoning yourself, but it's harder to remove if it's already too salty). For the two of us, the medium was a little small, so I would recommend a large. Given the smaller-than-usual portions, the price is a little high for your typical carry-out pizza, but what do you expect when you're smack in the middle of a touristy area. Still, it was decent food and allowed our group to be lazy at our condo, as long as you don't mind the wait. read more

The wait was very short for he amount we ordered. Once we got home and had dinner we fell in love even more. The food was awesome. Merlin's pizza is always a tourist stop for traveling to Destin. It's typically an Irish wake from McGuires, a day out at crab island, and a pizza from Merlin's. The pizza crust is always what you imagine when you want to bite into either that thin crunchy crust or take a soft bite of that hand tossed dough. I've been here 3 weeks for work and someone on my team has probably had at least 2 pizzas a week. The service is fast considering they're always a packed house, on top of carry out and delivery, that being said we're all human. While there in my last visit a families order had taken about 40 min, understandably they were frustrated. The manager at the time, Chelsea, was the genuinely kindest I've ever seen and trying to accommodate with the traveling family, as well as handled super professionally, you're awesome. The family left with their food and I'm sure the taste will make it worth while to go back. The staff is very easy going and nice, again with it being packed out all the time my props goes to them for delivering delicious food as well as a great experience. read more

Good pizza. Choose from the traditional toppings or something fun like pulled pork and BBQ pizza. Sandwiches, wings also available. Small eating area. We tried to squeeze a party of 12 into 2 booths. Worked ok, but not ideal. If you are a party of 4-6, shouldn't have a problem, altho you may have to wait for a table/booth. There are TVs (with sound!) at each booth. Loved it. We decided to check it out after seeing the reviews online. We were very pleased with the food and the service. We ordered the thin crust Greek pizza and a pepperoni/cheese. Cheese is a mix of parmesan and provolone which makes it solo good!!! We also ordered the Greek salad - all ingredients were nice and fresh. Our server's name was Mia and she was awesome - exceptionally great - checking up on us and refilling our drinks, making sure we had everything we needed. The only downer is the tv's at every table. My kids were annoyed I turned it off because I wanted us to talk instead. read more

To start off on a good note, the food was delicious and I highly recommend it. The one star is for the absolute worst service that we received. The server that seated us would not allow us to use a high chair, which was really needed for the child at the table. The server took forever to get to our table to take our drink order. Once the waitress finally got to our table, we ordered our drinks, appetizer, and meal all at once. Here's the kicker... we didn't get our drinks until 45 minutes later, along with our appetizer and meal. The whole time the waitress brought drinks to other tables that were seated after us. After we were done, we asked that the waitress please split the bill. She did not do it for us, but instead circled what each person owed. We asked for a togo box and never got it. I had to ask another employee to get the box for me because the waitress was nowhere to be found. The other waitresses were no help and were very rude. Like I said the food was delicious, but the service was absolutely horrible. That waitress clearly needed to go back to high school to finish her education. read more

I ordered delivery 2 nights this week while working at my condo. Had the Hawaiian pizza the first night. Really good. Had sandwiches the 2nd - barbecued pulled pork and pesto chicken. The Buffalo Chicken Pizza was delicious. Seasoned chicken, great buffalo sauce, gooey cheese - the perfect pizza! We also liked their regular breadsticks.
