One of my friends ordered the seafood pizza, I tasted it and was blown away. I ordered the same exact pizza and was so disappointed and very unimpressed. When I picked a slice up to eat all the toppings slide off. I understand there is Alfredo sauce on the pizza but it was so much you couldn't even pick it up without everything sliding off. Once I started to chew it I realized it was undercooked. I pulled out nothing but raw dough from my mouth. Merlin's is amazing. Barbara, who waited on us, was also amazingly friendly and helpful. The place wasn't on our radar but we just happened to spot the sign after a morning of golf/shopping. We had a horrible experience at Merlins last weekend. We ordered from the only line in the restaurant and then after our order was placed AND we paid in full, we took a seat and were then told that we ordered from the takeout line. No big deal, right? To the Merlins staff, this was the biggest of deals. We sat at the table waiting for our order to come. Waiting longer. Even longer. 45 minutes later, when we hadn't gotten our pizza, I went up to the counter again and asked if we could just take our pizza to go. The employee said yes and just handed us the pizzas that had been sitting next to him for who knows how long. I asked why they were holding back our pizzas, and his answer was that the restaurant POLICY is that they hold back the pizza for anyone who orders from the wrong line. This is their POLICY. So if we had stayed sitting there, we would have never gotten our pizza. This was his only explanation and he did nothing about it. I said I'd be leave a negative review, and he said that's too bad, it's just our POLICY to treat the customers wrong when they order from the wrong line. Not to mention the pizza tasted like they ordered it from the discounted leftover pizza section at Papa John's that morning. read more

Called back and was on hold again. After 2 hours the delivery driver shows up with an attitude and no explanation as to why it was so late. After arriving to Destin, a long drive before hand- we jumped on Yelp to order something easy but quick. We immediately found Merlin's and the reviews speak for themselves. Not your ordinary pizza delivery restaurant. We had a small mix up with the delivery location (when using the app be mindful of this glitch). The restaurant was quick to remake the order and get it to us shortly after the mix up was figured out. Our four year old son said "this pizza is amazing and the best I've ever had!" Haha! My husband and I ordered the philly cheese steak pizza, wings (hot) and the jalapeño cheese bread. All of which were really delicious. The crust isn't too thin or too thick. The steak on the Philly cheese steak pizza wasn't chewy like some meats on pizzas can taste. My favorite part was the jalapeño cheese bread..do yourself a favorite and get it, if you like spice!
