We were blessed to take a tour of the Temple with longtime friends of ours that married here two decades ago. Everyone at the location was incredibly warm and inviting, there was absolutely NO proselytizing involved, so it was a wonderful visit. We went only to see the remodel and enjoyed every second of it. They had a station to collect masks if you so desired, however, they were not required. There was another station to have booties placed over your shoes to protect the flooring inside. It is a silent tour, but guided with extreme reverence, and the flow was incredibly smooth. The inside of the Temple is absolutely breathtaking, they requested no photos be taken, so unfortunately, I only have outside photos to share. We also visited the visitor's center across the street, pictures are included. The Temple is beautiful inside, I was in awe looking at all the luxurious furnishings, artwork, and details. The Bride's room was so ornate, I would have felt very spoiled getting ready in there! Each space was described in a few short words as we walked through. Marriage is called "Sealing" at the Temple, and it includes any children brought together through the ceremony. There are special rooms designated for the process and we enjoyed hearing about the process. We also enjoyed the Celestial room; it is a very peaceful setting. Our tour guide is the ancestor of one of the people that painted a mural wall in 1920, that was awesome to see and hear. My favorite spot was the baptismal room, it is incredibly ornate and the details were stunning! All the exterior garden flowers were very colorful and fragrant; and the grass is lush and green. It was a very introspective visit and we are so glad we did it, especially with our friends. When my husband and I vacation together, we take the time to visit local churches and cathedrals, regardless of specific denomination, so we decided to do the same here at home!! read more

If your in area you must attend the Easter pageant show they put on! Runs every year and it has only gotten better throughout the years. The show starts at 8pm sharp and they have more then enough seating available. The grounds are beautiful and there are more then enough places to take pictures! Review for light display, not for worship. Ample parking and so much beautiful, landscaped grounds to explore. We visited for the first time with friends a few days after Christmas and arrived right before 5 PM when the sun was going down (we have toddlers). Even when there was still a bit of light at dusk, the lights were visible and the audio recordings were playing, telling the story of Christmas. There are plaques amongst the displays, explaining either the various religious displays or the prominent portions of the Temple grounds and architecture. The visitors center is beautiful, the fountains and reflection pools sparkling and the light displays are unique and abundant. Glad that we made the trip to check this out. When we left at 6, it was getting very crowded and cars were circling trying to find spots I recommend going early as we did. A major plus is the bathrooms that they have specifically for visitors. read more

I am reviewing the Christmas light display at the temple. (Not the worship.) I really enjoyed the 85 minutes it took me to stroll the grounds and take in the HUGE display of Christmas lights! I can't imagine the months of planning and months of work it must have taken to prepare this. Families, friends and children all took their time to take photos and oohs and ahs over the visuals and audio recordings. Portable toilets are available. We didn't have an issue with parking yesterday and on the drive out, we noticed there was a stand selling hot chocolate. I would recommend seeing this, if you have never been before. read more

My review is based solely on the Christmas light display. They do such a wonderful job decorating the whole place top to bottom that it is amazing!! We went here on a date and it gives off such a loving atmosphere. They have a few displays up of the manger scene and a couple of other religious displays. They even put on a little play even though it's not entirely accurate. This place gets crowded towards school break so I would avoid it like the plague around that time. There's tons of free parking even though it may take a few minutes to find some. If you just love free lights and an enjoyable free evening, this place is worth checking out. The LDS Mesa Temple is a Holy place where families can go to be sealed together for time and all eternity! To be able to enter the Temple, you need to be a worthy member of the Church (Mormons) and have an Interview with your Bishop and Stake President to get a Temple Recommend, a small piece of paper that has great eternal worth. It's a wonderful place! The gardens around it are beautiful as well! Once a year they have a spectacular Easter Pageant. During Christmas time they have lots of wonderful Christmas lights up and many wonderful Christmas concerts! read more

This review is simply for the Christmas lights display. This was the first year I had visited, and I took my parents from out of town along. The lights were beautiful, but didn't take us long to walk through. I would recommend coming on a night when a local choir was performing, just so you have more to do/see. There was a fun food truck court set up across the street, which was an added bonus. Would recommend if you had kiddos who liked lights. read more

My favorite of these, by a long shot, has had to be it's annual Easter Pageant. I noticed others writing about the beauties of the Christmas lights, which represented Christ's magnificent birth into the world. But I think Easter is a more sacred celebration, one that tells stories of Christ's infinite Atonement, that Christian Mormons all over the world celebrate. read more
