Please stay far away from this place, especially if you care about your family members! These workers are the most incompetent, uncaring, rudest people I've ever met in my life. They do not take care of my family member what so ever. Did not schedule their appointments in a timely manner nor care about their dialysis schedule. This place is absolutely horrible and I felt bad hearing everyone asking for help while being ignored by everyone at this facility. Multiple people would press the call button and they would not get answered until OVER 2 hours later. The facility is falling down and patients are being neglected. The CNA'S don't answer the call lights, not changing patients soiled diapers, wounds not treated, violence to the point of their bolting down the wrot iron chairs and tables. Roaches running in the hallways, Staff stealing patients property, patients who are Mentally Ill and yelling are put out on patio's without supervision. I have had to go to the Emergency Room 6 times for horrific back pain only to be seen then returned to the facility. I was moved while I was in the Emergency Room and all my belongings were piled 4 1/2 feet on the bed next to me. I went to a group and when I returned all my belongings had been shoved in the closet bending, cracking my property. No Inventory is done when a patient is admitted then if something is missing or stolen by staff so they refuse to replace the items. I have my own inventory and pictures of everything I own and everything that has been destroyed. Code Enforcement and the Ombudsman have been notified and are coming to this so-called Nursing Home and Rehabilitation. This facility will be shut down and patients will be transferred to another facility. There is so much more that I could say, but I hope you are getting a good idea of what it's like. Only gave it one star because I had to. Where do I start?? This place is dirty and very disorganized. It really needs to be shut down. My mom was only there because my step dad put her in there. She is now at a nice clean place that takes care of her: They dropped my mom twice in their care. Yes! We have reported them. If you love your family member you will not put them in here. They have no care for their patients. They don't clean the place at all. It stinks. So glad my mom is out of there. The management is horrible. They just give you the run around. Don't do it! The name, Marissa, is synonymous with the "Ultimate Patient Care" you receive at Mesa Glen Care Center. She does her job ,and she does it seemlessly, flawlessly, marvelously well, and with compassion. When Marissa is your CNA, all you have to do is worry about getting well; she takes care of everything else. She absorbs info about her patients, their likes & dislikes. I remember a time when she said, "You want your coffee with 2 regular sugars or the pink sugars?" I thought to myself, "Wow, she remembered that?" She hadn't been my CNA for well over a month! This place is one of the worst places I've seen. The people are very unprofessional, patience look under nourished. The doctors only go to check on patients when they're told to by the nurse. The only time they called the doctor for my brother was when I told them too. If the residence cannot speak and they're in pain, they don't get their medication because they are supposed to ask, most of the time. My brother was turning into skin and bones. Not only from his sickness, He was also dehydrated. I kept asking what the diagnosis was and would not get an answer and had to push them for three weeks. My Mom was there for almost a month. I have to say, we had a great experience there. All the staff is so nice, starting with the manager Ron, the nurses, and everybody else. They are caring and the vibe is happy and joyful. Thank you Mesa Glen!!!! read more

I'm only giving one star because I have to. This is the worst facility I have ever worked at. All of the nurses are rude to the CNA's. The infection control nurse Melissa is rude and does not know how to do her job. Lonnie at the front desk thinks she runs the place. Housekeeping doesn't clean or disinfect at all. Tamara PM Nurse is the rudest nurse of them all she calls patients stupid and crazy and talks to everyone like they're trash. Nurses are unprofessional putting themselves in love triangles with CNAS and LVNS. Kitchen staff act like they're miserable and hate their job. Management shows favoritism to certain LVNS and CNAS letting them get away with intolerable activities. As a healthcare worker I don't recommend working at this facility and I don't recommend anyone bring their loved ones here you're better off living under a box read more

As I come up on my 2 year anniversary here I don't have many bad things to say about this establishment. The staff is very friendly, they are considerate and they care for their patients. I have to give them credit during the covid pandemic they handled it very professionally. I was able to get through the discomfort of restrictions and quarantine and not catch the virus through their diligence and hard work to keep the place clean. My biggest complaint has to be the Food Service here. I understand this is not a restaurant no five star or Michelin rated dining area. But the food preparation has to be vastly improved. For some people their last meal will be served here at least make it edible. read more

If I could give zero stars and subtract stars from the dubious five star reviews posted here, I would. Simply put, this place is atrocious. I had the misfortune of spending nearly a month here in January to February 2019. . When, due to their ineptitude, I had to be emergency transported back to an acute care facility, I refused to be returned here. The staff is almost uniformly surly bordering on belligerent, the food is abominable and harmful (apparently no one in the kitchen knows what diabetes means), and the equipment is antiquated. It's located in what appears to be a former low-rate hotel; rooms are small, beds are horrid, decor is depressing. Unless you hate your relative facing placement here, do everything you can to find another place. read more

My mom was a Mesa Glen resident for the last 8 years. When I write this, it comes with a lot of experience dealing with the staff, management and ownership changes, and day to day care. My mom was treated with dignity and grace. There were challenging times during those 8 long years, but all in all, when there was an issue, Mesa Glen was quick to react, and what more can you ask for? The current staff and management care...they really care about people. The understand that these folks are likely in their final home. They have had events, holiday functions, allowed visitors after hours when it was prudent, and during the Covid-19 pandemic, took as many precautions as humanly possible. My mom passed away at Mesa Glen, but she didn't go without Mesa Glen giving her every fighting chance and likely prolonging her life with the help of Dr. Lu. Is Mesa Glen perfect, no, but who can possibly be perfect caring for your mom? I would recommend Mesa Glen to anyone looking in the area for a quality care facility. read more

The facility has a very warm and cozy atmosphere, and it looks more like a family home than an institution. It's a warm feeling I get when I visit Mesa Glen and see that my grandma is being well cared for and that she is clean and well-attended. Her room is always neat and clean as well. Love this place. I have been to a few nursing homes and Mesa Glen has been the most Friendliest of them all. Starting with the RN Jason he is a joy, very informative. The Administrator Kyle is very humble, Honest and very patient he Has turned this place around. This place even has a shower team! The shower girls are so sweet, very hard working. My concerns about my mother's care at Mesa Glen are muted when I think of the great care she is receiving. The nurses have a soothing manner. Although this facility has a lot of challenges, one thing is for sure. Unlike other rehabs, I can completely trust my laundry in the hands of David from ProClean, who heads the Laundry and Housekeeping department. He deserves a 5 star rating. He is on top of everything when it comes to Laundry and Housekeeping. I never have to worry about lost clothes because he's like a hunting dog. The one and only time my clothes went missing, as he was on vacation, he hunted for days until he found them. The clothes are always clean and accounted for. Definitely a 5 STAR. Several of the nurses also are 5 STAR. You know they care, even under the stress. You always can count on a smiling face, caring heart, and great conversation. read more

I suppose Mesa Mesa Glen is OK. I find if you have half of a mind they'll insult your intelligence and be almost paranoid about what you might do. They'll invade your privacy and have lots of meetings with you even if there are no mishaps about your activities. They run their program into the ground and repeatedly try to punish certain residents and show undue favoritism towards a few that they like. On the other hand some of the nurses are wonderful and deserve praise for being fair and loving towards their patients. I hear that they are about middle of the road. It just depends weather or not they like a patient or not. read more

My relative was adamant about being discharged because of the neglectful behavior by a lot of the nurses despite the fact he can't walk. I was on file as his next of kin and only point of contact. I was never notified by the facilty. However, I was contacted about everything else that pertained to his care. He was told he would have all of the equipment he needed such as a walker, wheelchair, and shower chair when he arrived at his place but NONE of his equipment has been delivered. His medication order was not placed with the pharmacy so he had to call this facility to straighten it out. We were told he would have everything he needed when he arrived at his place but that wasn't the case. My relative suffered from ICU delirium and only one or two nurses were sympathetic. Mel was wonderful. Janelle took extra time with my relative so he could have more physical therapy. The rest did not treat him well at all. They acted as if they were being asked to do something outside of their profession. There was no understanding that his personality was affected by being on a ventilator for 2 weeks. Getting him turned every two hours, especially on the weekends, was a constant fight. I had to call the facilty late at night and speak to Hilda, the RN, because he was suppose to be turned every 2 hours and wouldn't be turned for over 4 hours sometimes which is not good for bedsores. I had to write another review so people are aware as to what to expect if your relative is not ambulatory. If they are diabetic their diabetic plan is terrible. Meaning too many carbs. The food in general is terrible. Patients are ordering from restaurants just so they can have something decent to eat. I also don't understand being allowed to smoke at a rehab facility. Kind of defeats the purpose of rehabbing. The physical therapy equipment is old and needs to be replaced. So once again I DO NOT recommend sending your relatives to this facility. Do your research and go somewhere else. read more

So far I have been here for over 5 months and I haven't had any problems. The administrator and his staff are very accommodating. The nurses are very knowledgeable about their craft. The physical and occupational therapy workers are kind and considerate and comforting when dealing with their patients. Even the maintenance and housekeeping departments are kind and cool if you have a problem they will try to resolve it as soon as possible If I was asked to recommend Mesa Glen I would have no problem recommending them. It came to a point where my 93 year old mom needed more help, for her care ,that could be provided at home. I chose Mesa Glen, since the facility was 5 minutes away from me. They took the best care of her and made her as comfortable as possible. She liked an RN named Jason and said he treated her like she was his mom. They had her eating where she wasn't eating at home that well. When the time came, the facility let me know that she was nearing the end and suggested we bring her home for her final days and they setup up in home Hospice care for us the same day. I can't be more grateful for the time our family got to spend with my mom in her final weeks thanks to Mesa Glen and their staff. They made a very difficult time better for our family. read more

The administrator Kyle, addresses any issues right away and listens to family and resident concerns. There were nurses who held my mother's hand when we couldn't hold her hand and some treated her as if she was their own mother. I would like to especially thank Rafael, CNA who was not only good to my mom, but I witnessed him caring for patients as if they were his own family. Thankful especially for Janelle RNA, Steven, LVN, Manny, LVN, Michelle RN and John LVN. CNA Kim, Leslie and Daniel. The activity director who plays the guitar for the residents-- I can go on and on. They treated us like family. Dr. Lu, thank you. You kept our mother as well as possible. He would talk to us about her condition anytime we had questions and never ignored us. Thank you Mesa Glen. This place killed my grandpa. He went to the hospital with no blood pressure, they revived him. He had kidney infection, he had a heart attack, he was malnutritioned, dehydrated, had open bed sores to his spine, and had stage 4 sepsis because of the infection! Before this he had falling out of his bed at least 3 times at night, he was located right across from the nurses station. He went to the hospital and passed about a week later. Mesa Glen stinks of urine. He always had unchanged diapers. His cloths were always missing, they even had him wear womans cloths because they couldn't find his. They even gave him someone elses dentures. The nursing staff are uneducated, uncaring and don't give a shit. While visiting I've seen people escaping, people yelling help me.... this place should not be taking care of anyone. read more
