On February 2, 2024 I called Dr Mesa to my home to euthanize my Maggie. Dr Mesa was relatively prompt in getting to my home, was gentle during the procedure, and allowed me time after Maggie passed to say goodbye. The problem occurred in the after care. I was told it would take about two weeks for them to return Maggie's ashes. After not hearing from them for 24 days, I called them and asked where Maggie's ashes are? They told me they could not find my profile and didn't know where Maggie was. My heart sank. The person I talked to said he was driving and needed to get back to the office to do some research. About an hour later I received a text and that they found my profile but were waiting for a callback with a status update and would get right back to me. I waited an hour and a half and texted "It shouldn't take this long. Where is Maggie?" I got no response. I waited a couple minutes and texted "What's the name of the crematorium?" I got no response. I waited another 20 minutes and again texted "What's the name of the crematorium?" No immediate response. 1 hour later, they finally texted me with the name of the crematorium and said the office had received Maggie back on 2/14/24, 10 DAYS PRIOR! They said they texted me on 2/15/24, sent me a snip of the message, and asked me to verify I received it. The message was never sent to me. They informed me the "delivery technician had an incorrect number" and "this explains her inability to get a hold of you and for you not receiving texts. I have made the correction and apologize for the inconvenience of Maggie's urn not being delivered much sooner." INCONVENIENCE! I had Maggie for 20 years. It wasn't just an inconvenience, this caused me distress! Furthermore, they after researching the location of Maggie's ashes, after not getting a response to the text, the technician took Maggie's ashes home. No bother to try and contact me again! I call this incompetence! They had my address because they came to my home to perform the procedure. Why not just come to my home and ring the doorbell? This caused me a lot of heart ache. Then this September 2025, my dog Bella became acutely ill. She was diagnosed with cancer. On the evening of September 26th, Bella's condition declined rapidly. She was in a lot of pain. It was her time. I called Dr Mesa out to euthanize Bella. I gave them my address and my phone number. I took Bella out to the front lawn she loved so much and she collapsed there. Dr Mesa arrived a short time later. It was quick. Within 15 minutes, the procedure was over, our time with her was complete, and Bella was taken away. After recounting the awful distress we went through with Maggie, the following morning, I called Dr Mesa's office and asked them to instruct the crematorium to call me when Bella was ready for pickup, that we would pick up Bella ourselves, and asked for the name of the crematorium. After not hearing back for 20 days, on October 16th, I called the crematorium. They told me they were instructed to deliver Bella's ashes back to them and that they had done so on October 6th, 10 DAYS PRIOR! I asked them where they delivered the ashes to and was told to their home office. They had Bella's ashes in their home office for 10 days! In the same community I live in, and couldn't bring her home to me? Again, I was distraught. I thought, "did they misplace another of my pet's ashes"?! I proceeded to call Dr Mesa's office number and demanded to know where Bella was. Again, I was told he was driving and needed to get back to the office to determine where she was. About an hour later, I received a call back saying they knew where Bella was and that the delivery person had texted me on the 6th when they received Bella back, but that they didn't get a response. I was told that it is not uncommon for people to be unresponsive. WTF! Just maybe they are texting the wrong number like they did to me TWICE! I can see waiting a day or two, but most people who request ashes to be returned are waiting for those ashes to come home for some closure. I spent three weeks in distress, walking past Bella's room and her bed with her not in it, waiting for some peace. It should have only been 10 days. Don't call Dr Mesa's office. Find another mobile vet. They're not compassionate enough to understand that their lack of "give a crap" causes people a lot of pain. I gave them the chance to make corrections, and they did nothing to improve. We won't be calling them again. read more

Dr. Mesa is an angel. She came to my brother in law's apartment after he passed away to put his sick cat down. She came in with so much love and compassion, not for only the cat, but to my husband and I. I highly recommend her. She made us feel at peace at such a difficult time in our lives. Don't call this POS, my grandmothers dog (16yr old golden mix) had another stroke and wouldn't eat and couldn't stand up, so I googled 24hr euthanasia services to see if anyone was available just in case she started suffering and I came across Mesa Mobile services, they actually have the most advertising, i called and got no answer, so I texted at almost 9pm per their website and got this response 6hrs later at almost 3am. DON'T USE THIS WOMAN!!! My dog was euthanized three days ago, I picked up her ashes myself today. I am leaving an honest review because they were what I needed three days ago near midnight when stricken with a decision for my hospice dog. I couldn't find them at the time, so I used this woman's service. Lily Mesa came to our home at 10:30pm. No IV catheter was used on my dog. She received a shot in her hind leg, quickly became unconscious and then was given what I assume was the lethal second injection in her front leg, but Lily couldn't get that injection to work. So suddenly, Lily injected my dog through her chest wall, directly into her heart. There was no warning, no explanation prior. I was horrified as is my family, which included my horrified 15 year old son. I have spoken to my dogs regular vet who was out of town on this night. She has told me she's never used a cardiac injection, it is not common and my dog should've had an IV cath placed for the entire procedure. That is "gold standard." My family is now traumatized and unsure my dog was under proper anesthesia for euthanasia after reviewing the drugs used. We suspect my dog felt everything including the final shot into her beating heart. This woman has no compassion or bedside manner. We were not given any explanation of what to expect, Lily barely spoke to us and then lied about how she handled my dogs body. I was told that my fee of $750 covered Lily taking my girl to the West Coast Memorial Park in Escondido that night. I questioned her and she insisted she was taking my dog herself. I had a strange feeling when she left and it was suddenly a feeling of "I've made a mistake using this person." I was afraid my dog wouldn't be returned to me. The next morning I called the memorial park at opening and was told a driver was expected to pick up my dog at Lily's "location" at 4pm that day. I know now pick up is a storage unit (Lily's words.) I was told animals are not brought to the memorial park by anyone. She confirmed what I knew, Lily did not take my dog herself yet I was charged for that service. Angry, I called Lily after speaking to the memorial park and she told me she'd already taken her! In reality, she still had my dog somewhere. I was told in that call my dogs blood pressure was low from the initial sedative and the cardiac injection was needed. But had she used a catheter in my dogs vein, that could've been avoided. I've never seen a dog put to sleep without one. I've lost FOUR animals in the past three months and they all had catheters placed except my dog. By the time I could question why this wasn't happening, my dog was dying and there was no turning back. To question the person helping my dog pass in the moment wasn't something I could do. It is all in hindsight that the situation has replayed in my head and big questions remain. An IV catheter should've been placed and I deserved more explanation of procedures...a summary of the process before us. A Pat on my girls head or a tender word to her before injecting her would have been heart felt but that didn't happen either. We should not have had to witness an injection to the heart without expecting it. We are literally haunted. We also should not have been lied to about her dropping my dog off that same night when she knew she would never even drop her off, the memorial company picks up! I was told the ashes would be returned in 2-3 weeks and I didn't trust that to happen either, I picked them up myself. *When questioned days later, Lily now says "I took her to the memorial park, the drop box was closed so I brought her home and had to go back the next day." UNTRUE!! THE MEMORIAL TEAM PICKED UP MY DOG! $750 dollars is a small price to pay for the fact that my girl passed away eating fish crackers, in her bed...in her home surrounded by her humans. But it is not compatible with the compassion or process that was rendered. I would never recommend Lily to anyone I know. When pressed over the phone Lily Mesa LIED about the procedure she rendered, altered invoices and medications used and LIED about caring for my dogs body. She's been reported to the Veterinary Medical Board. My sweet 16 year old dog was diagnosed with severe heart failure. It was his time to go to heaven. My vet was not helpful. They wanted to charge me another visit to discuss euthanasia after they knew his condition. I felt they were out of touch with situation. The vet wanted to start him on an additional diuretic & another pill for his heart. I already had in a diaper because the lasix made him incontinent . They wanting to get another office visit payment out of me. The humane society offers this service but according to the website you are not allowed to stay with your dog during the procedure. Also they have 3 days to call you to make the appointment from the time you originally contacted them. The time I originally picked I had to reschedule. So I once again had to wait 3 days to make the appointment. It was 5 days out from the date I made the original appointment to the date they could schedule the procedure. I started calling around to mobile services. Out of 4 different services I contacted over 4 days Mesa was the only company that called me back. The message on their services states they will call you back in 2 hours. I called on Friday evening. They called me Monday morning & set the appointment for the same day between 1& 4. I agreed. The lady called & came early at 12. She was very nice & professional. We put my poodle in his bed. She administered a sedative. He got drowsy & then she administered the medication. It was quick & painless. He hated the car & vet offices. He always put on a brave face & was sweet & kind to people. But I know doing it at home was the right choice for him & me. I recommend Mesa Veterinary Clinic Mobile Service highly. So kind, respectful & caring. read more

My baby had Hemangiosarcoma, bleeding mass. I couldn't put him through surgery that might gave him 6 months. I wanted him comfortable without pain, afraid, and decided to Euthanized at home. It was challenged to arrange for him to come home from emergency clinic and get At home pet Euthanasia people in short notice. They made it happen, gave us very valuable time. I highly recommend their service !! You want last memory to be wonderful moments. My baby had his sister laying next to him, licking his face, surrounded by family, he was relaxed and comfortable. Lily is awesome!!!! From the moment she walked in she treated my doggies like they were her own. The animals just have a sense of her kind spirit and respond to her in an amazing way! They were quick to respond & took care of a tragic situation with loving gentleness after my mother's dog passed away in her home before their arrival. The doctor spent a great amount of time with my mom consoling her and removed the deceased pet from her home. The office staff dedicated a considerate amount of time on the phone with me as I explained the painful situation to her.
