Since Covid their service has been terrible. They keep you standing out on the curb while you wait for them to pull your order. It's slow and demeaning. Final straw for me is calling them and after years of buying from them they tell me they will not sell to me unless I make an account with reference and such. Hey Mesher staff, guess what: when searching for Plumbing Supply stores, your place comes up (here on yelp, on Google, etc). Homeowners and DIYers find you this way. Not everybody knows that you won't service walk-ins and seem geared towards contractors. You need to explain what you do here on Yelp, on Google, on your own website, etc. That way we won't spend 20 minutes driving to your place only to be abrasively turned around by the ultra rude staff. read more

I'm very glad Mesher exists, and they often have parts that I'd have to search hard to find elsewhere. Prices are reasonable given their location and inventory. My only complaint is that I always have the feeling that the counter guys would rather work with trade professionals. Or maybe they're bored & terse and sometimes surly with everyone who comes in? I also buy from similar stores--WL May, Chas. Day, Geo. Morlan, NorMon Distributing, Quimby and AirGas, ACF West...-- and Mesher is the only place where I've had a consistent experience of feeling unwelcome. How many water heaters, fittings, tools, and 20' lengths of pipe does one need to buy there to earn respect? read more

Next to Winks Hardware, Mesher caters most to the service plumber. Open to the public, their parts library is more robust than any plumbing parts supplier in the area. Everyone on the order desk is fluent and ready to help. Feels old school with the wooden floors. read more

After reading excellent reviews on Google, I went to Mesher Supply instead of George Morlan (whose Google reviews were not very encouraging). Guess what? Not only was the customer service rep not very willing to help, but he told me to go to George Morlan. I did go to the Tigard George Morlan and they did not have the part I needed either, but they at least helped me get other parts to fix my leaking faucet. I felt rather blown off by the rep from Mesher. read more

GO ELSEWHERE if you're just a regular homeowner who needs to trust the salesperson in giving you the right part. I get that Mesher focuses on commercial customers, and yes there are signs saying "all sales final"...but their customer service sucked for this non-commercial customer. I recently went in for a part to repair my toilet. I made it clear that I'm not a a plumbing expert, and that I'd already picked out the wrong part at another store because there are a few similar varieties that aren't easy to distinguish. Mesher is set up that the salesperson goes in the back to pick out the part and bring it out to the customer. The salesperson brought out several versions, looked at my broken part, and then showed me the two that he said would work. I trusted he was right...but when I got home I saw that he'd sold me another wrong version. When I brought the part back, unused, he said it was not his fault and that I'd get no refund. Another salesperson who overhead the dispute suggested that I could get store credit, which would have been fine by me. The original salesperson, rather grouchily, went back to check with the accounting department and came back with a terse "no". This wasn't an expensive part, so I chalked it up to a learning experience and left. Bottom line - if Mesher is going to elect to sell to non-commercial customers who aren't experts, they should take responsibility for bringing out the wrong part or let the customer go back their supply room to pick out the right part. Or they shouldn't sell to non-commercial customers. I hope the $7 they didn't refund is worth this negative review and the fact that in the future, I'll take all my business to nearby Standard Plumbing Supply...who sold me the right part for a little more money but a ton of better customer service. I'd advise anyone else like me to do the same. read more

RUDE!!! I went in for a simply gas reducer, explained to the CSR what I was looking for, have seen it multiple times a person, and the CSR went several times to the back to find it and couldn't. He then explained to me that many people who visit Mesher were trained for plumbing and know what they want when they come in the door. I had explained to him what I was looking for and each time he left for the supply isle he came back with a part that I wasn't looking for. t spent 30 minutes there, 10 of which I was trying to leave. The CSR wouldn't let me leave and insisted on going back to the supply isles again to find the part. At this point, I knew of the ignorance of this employee. So having had enough of rudeness and ignorance, I just left the warehouse and not to make the CSR feel neglected or uniformed (but he sure let me know I didn't know what I was talking about). Next time, I'll leave it up to the big box stores... at least there CSR's listen and try to help you find the right part. Mesher CSR didn't and in my personal opinion was having a bad day and trying to make me feel like I was the one who was ignorant and uniformed. My advice to the CSR, look past the ignorance of not knowing that you don't stock the part and save me the extra 30 minutes of my time and just tell me that you don't stock the part. Also, I left after paying for a $2.00 part and returning it to them. I left before he could get a refund because it was worth the $2.00 of my time to not be there wasting away with this persons ignorance. Btw, the big box stores had exactly what I was looking for and I didn't need their CSR to help. God help those who need help: this CSR at Mesher included. read more
