Was in a jam after an intense workout and usually skip on sandwiches due to a food/gluten allergy. But one of my favorite culinary cultures came to the rescue with a twist on good old "meat and potatoes." The Boriquan platter was a surprise hit in my book. The beef was braised to be like pot roast and had a nice mix of aromatics (garlic and onion being dominant). The fries were skin on, golden and perfectly seasoned. As an oddity, the salad was fresh and had a delicious chimichurri dressing that I ate with each bite of steak. The sandwiches are legendary, but there is more going on under the hood. Finally, a compliment to the staff for a clean kitchen, no disorganization and you are greeted with a smile in both English and Spanish. I'll be back for another power lunch soon!

Meson Sandwiches is a reliable spot for a quick bite or a relaxed sit-down meal. Their menu covers everything from breakfast sandwiches, Latin-style coffee, oatmeal, and pastries to heartier options like steak and tuna sandwiches. The bocadillo--a hot-pressed sandwich with lettuce, tomato, ham, and cheese--is a personal favorite. You can turn it into a combo with cornmeal sticks and a drink. Their salted caramel iced coffee is especially refreshing and pairs well with any meal. Great flavors, quick service, and plenty of variety.

The food was amazing and yummy it was sooooooooo gooooooood it might be the best food I've had in years

Great service by Yaneliz & the Ordering Team. Decent Pastrami, delicious Crema de Yautia, plus Surullos, Quesito and great coffee. Only problem is the Florida Mall A/C can't keep up. It's warm in here

I stopped by the Florida Mall location of Meson Sandwiches on Saturday, December 31, 2022. The Puerto Rican based chain has four locations in the Orlando area as of December, 2022. The locations are currently the only restaurants the fast-casual chain has outside of Puerto Rico. I opted for a Combination Meal which included one of their Signature Sandwiches, the Montecristo, along with French Fries and a Bottled Water. Unlike the traditional Monte Cristo sandwich which is an egg-dipped or batter-dipped ham and cheese sandwich which is either pan-fried or deep-fried, their variation included Turkey, Virginia Ham, Swiss Cheese, Lettuce and Mayonnaise on Toasted Criollo Bread. I thought the sandwich was good but, not anything that gave me a reason to choose this menu item again in the future. Likewise, the French Fries were OK as a complement to the sandwich but, again nothing special in terms of taste. I found the cashier and the other employees friendly even though the location had a steady stream of customers during the lunch hour. That being said, as a heads-up there may be a wait to receive your food as the location seems to be short-staffed, which is a problem for many restaurants at this time.

My parents wanted to visit this location after going to Meson in Puerto Rico. We were greeted by the nicest and warmest person, Angelia. She was amazing helping us with our order. My mom got an omelette, she said it was super flavorful. Me and my dad got sorullos and the cornmeal plus cafe con leche. A+! i can't wait to come back

So good! Perfect breakfast sandwich. Finding out they have a drive thru is a game changer. The iced dirty chai was delicious and I can't wait to return for another.

Love coming in here and never had an issue but today i drove 1hr just for it, i got here at 5:45pm and the employees here told us we couldn't order because they were close but online it said they close at 7pm, i was to tired, hungry and disappointed to argue so i just left, so recommend you to come in 2hr before closing time and hope they don't turn you away.

This is my favorite food court option to eat at when visiting Florida Mall! The tuna salad sandwich, chicken sandwich, the turkey sandwich, the soups, the pastries, everything! Absolutely fresh and delicious! The criollo bread is freshhhhh & amazing! They press your sandwich So that the bread it is warm and slightly toasted. You don't even need to go to Puerto Rico, when you have el meson sandwiches nearby. The coffee is wonderful and tastes like you're in Puerto Rico, add on a pastry, and yummmmm!! All of the muffins and pastries are made fresh. The staff is not always the friendliest, but they are definitely organized. They have wonderful fresh cut natural fries, and make sure to spend the extra money for a side of mayo ketchup. It is delicious with the fries! They are very organized when you order their sandwiches although the line is very long. There are a couple of locations around, and I would definitely choose this over subway anytime. The sandwiches are simple but more satisfying, they cut diagonally and of course that makes it taste better too, not really, but maybe! They also have baked potatoes with cheese. Believe it or not, you can put add lobster in it! Yes I said lobster! Try el meson, you really will not regret it!!!

OK, so here's my first impression of Meson. Super super busy - had to wait a bit, but not super long! Definitely the busiest place in the food court at 12pm on a Friday. The cashier was rude rude rude. I could barely hear her because of the blasting techno music in the food court and she seemed annoyed by that fact. The lady that served my food was also kinda rude. I asked her for some extra ketchup for my fries and she said she had already put some in the bag, which I found out was two packets. The food itself was very average for the price. My combo came out to $11.84 and included fries and a drink. The sandwich was good, but nothing that I would seek out. I have had better Cuban sandwiches at smaller mom and pop places. All in all, I guess it was pretty good for food court food, but that's kinda a low standard.

Ordered the avocado and egg sandwich. Service was quick. My only complaint is that the toasted bread was soggy & wimpy.

Good evening everyone! So we all felt like trying out something Spanish tonight in the Orlando, FL…read morearea and my brother recommended Turull's Kitchen & Bar so we all decided to check them out and boy are we glad we did. I can honestly say that this restaurant is 100% legit as far as Spanish restaurants go. On this occasion we ordered a number of Tapas to share at the table. We ordered the cured Manchego cheese and Spanish ham board, Pulpo A La Vinagreta (Octopus in Vinegar), Serrano Ham and Codfish croquettes (absolutely delicious), Spanish Omelete and Al of us decide to try the Spanish Bean Soup (Fabada Asturiana). Everything we ordered was fresh, hearty and tasted exactly as expected. No cutting corners at Turull's folks and I am pretty sure that everything else on the menu would be just as good. If you decide to try one of their paella rice dishes, you hey looked great as well but plan on 45 minutes or so before it gets to the table as it is made fresh to order, no exceptions. Honestly, that is the only way to do it.... Who wants reheated paella as that would be heresy! LOL! For dessert we ordered the Flan and the Torta de San Martin, where the torta is a traditional Spanish pastry served with Almond ice cream, and both were very good. Finishing things off with some espresso and boy life was really good at this point. The atmosphere was very welcoming as Fridays and Saturday's they have live music which was in full force during our dinner. As you can imagine, we did take advantage and "cut a little rug" before we left as well! LOL! All in all it was a great outing and nothing better than good food, good wine and family as the setup for a wonderful evening. Service was excellent as well and no worries about parking either as there is plenty available. So if you find yourselves with a hankering for some good Spanish cuisine while in the Orlando, FL area, you should definitely check them out. We will be back again next time we are in the area for sure. Enjoy and bon appétit mes amis!

The chorizo rice on the side was moist and delicious, and the small salad with balsamic vinaigrette was fresh and light. They had Coke products (always a plus for me). My friend had an octopus dish with potatoes and onions, and really enjoyed it -- said it was tender and well-prepared. His Spanish rice was also very good. The service was top tier -- everyone was friendly, helpful, and checked on us often. We even got to see a flamenco dancer perform while we were eating, which made the night feel special. The atmosphere was warm and stylish, with beautiful artwork and a lit tree in the center of the space. I'd definitely go back.

For unbeatable pricing, the food we got as incredibly well-seasoned and well portioned. I recommend any of the ethnic dishes as my group tried about half of what was on display and they all tasted great. We ate two plates there and also took food to go. The oxtail was cooked exactly as it should be where the collagen is nice and chewy, with meat falling off the bone. All the meat we tried was moist and tender. For $4 you can get hefty empanadas and we tried and loved the chicken, beef and cheese filled ones. The tamale was also delicious. The food looked like it was made with wholesome ingredients and care. The cortadito was nice and strong - incredibly efficient for a small shot as we woke up after eating all that food. They serve a variety of drink flavors like guayabano and mamey. I got a mamey smoothie and enjoyed the creamy almost melon-like but novel flavor for me. For novelty, value, and delicious cultural cuisine, this place etched a core memory in that we paid more at whole foods and got more thrill from the flavorful experience at Papazzito Coffee Bar.

I've literally never seen an asian bakery offer some of the items they have. Beyond that, they also have a full service menu of dim sum items and soups. The service is so insanely good that I felt influenced to buy more. They literally got me. They're located at 8231 S John Young Pkwy on the far end of Orlando. They've been featured on a couple of food bloggers pages and social media. So I got a lot of things. I mean it's a bakery. I am never ever going to walk out with just one item. If you see that happening, it's not me. My favorite item that I got was their snow bread. They have rotating seasonal flavors. I was able to try their pistachio one, but the classic truly is their best seller for a reason. Their snow bread is a well baked piece of bread that is filled with a cream cheese mixture and then covered in powdered sugar. It doesn't sound that complicated and I'm not sure if they've unlocked some secret recipe or ratio, but it's literally so freaking good. Snow bread is a 10/10 for me. Beyond that, I also tried their walnut toffee mochi cookie. This was good, but I wish there was more toffee in it. This was a 8/10 for me. I also go their banana bread, which is shaped like a banana and filled with a banana custard. This was a 8/10 for me. The last item I want to write about is their bread pudding. This item is behind the counter and refrigerated. It was good, but I think I wish it was served with a toffee or salted caramel instead of chocolate syrup. This was a 8/10 for me. I think I spent about $30 total and it was worth it. I would go back and willingly spend that much over and over again. I think more people need to go and try them. It's a bit of a drive but worth it. The space inside is very cute and gives me the feeling of Kiki's Delivery Service. 10/10 overall rating and I will be back.
