A very knowledgeable and friendly member of their team discussed my skin concerns and I scheduled an appointment for the introductory special. The price was reasonable and I did not mind paying up front. When I arrived, Sara, the Receptionist made me feel very welcome. My consultation began immediately in a comfortable private office after I was given a bottle of water (Deer Park spring water, not "purified water" which I appreciated!). They used a high-tech device to photograph and analyze my face. The report compared my skin to the redness, pore size, sun damage, and wrinkles to a national database of women my age. I was shocked at the amount of sun damage the device revealed, which was far more than I'd noticed with the naked eye. I purchased additional items above those in my prepaid package, but I felt well cared for and that each team member mastered their field. I will implement the skin care improvements they suggested and return for another service. For subsequent visits, the technology can compare and detail improvements in my skin's condition.

Was excited to try the facials here because of all the 5 star reviews, but sadly, my experience was…read morea disappointment. Even before going in, I had a gripe with the website lacking in information and prices - why not just make it easy on your customer and just include that info online?? For those wondering, we paid: - $85 for a facial with enzyme peel and extractions (Twinkle Twinkle) - $85 for European facial (Above the Stars). Was supposed to come with massaging for $110 but she forgot so we got a discount. When we got there, we were invited to a very warm and cozy space, but there was a misunderstanding on the services. I had asked for back to back or simultaneous facials (if possible) for myself and my husband. Sarah said that she could do simultaneous facials, so I took that to mean that there would be two rooms and estheticians on site and we would each have our separate treatments at the same time. But no... instead, it was just her when we got there and she led us both to the same room and said that one could sit in a chair while the other was getting their facial done. This was a bit odd to me, but I went with it... she performed an enzyme peel on my face and then put a mask on, and then my husband and I switched spots. While my husband was getting his first 20-30 minutes of treatment, I sat on a chair uncomfortably scrolling through my phone... not exactly a spa experience. And then we switched back and we each got another 10-15 minutes. It felt very unprofessional, especially at the price you are paying. In total, we were there for 1.5 hours. How exactly does that timing add up when we are paying full price for two services, I don't know. Another gripe - there was a lot of time during the facial spent on preparing and opening things while things "sat" on our faces. That is a huge pet peeve for me when getting facials because I am paying for a full hour of service, so that's what I should get. If there is a mask on my face, you can still be massaging my scalp/neck/hands at the same time. If I wanted to lay down with a mask on, I could have done that at home. Now down to the actual quality of facial treatments - meh. A week later, my face is STILL peeling like a lizard from the enzyme peel. That would be ok except that she had not mentioned the possibility of that happening at all. A few days after, my husband's face looked pretty splotchy, and he is blessed with pretty normal and clear skin to begin with. Luckily, we didn't get these facials before a big event like a wedding or something. And also - none of the products she used even smelled good and the towels were pretty rough. The towels smelled faintly like cigarette smoke to me... ick. Little things, but again, I'm paying for an experience when I get a facial and this wasn't it. Maybe she was having an off day, i don't know. But for us, we won't be coming back and will instead be driving the 1+ hour to Maryland to go the esthetician I know and love.

I have somewhat combination skin, with breakouts along my cheek and small bumps in the summer. She recommended a microdermabrasion and mask. I've never tried microdermabrasion before but it is seriously the best! Sarah is incredibly knowledgeable and relaxing and I really enjoyed the experience! My skin felt a lot better and I think it really helped! Also, there is some original art that is available for sale in front and it is absolutely delightful! :) I will remember to return the next time I am in the area, for sure! Thank you Sarah for the fun spa day and helping me figure out how to make my brows look amazing lol

It's the kind of place where you can truly relax and enjoy being pampered. I have to give a special shoutout to Sophea, who is nothing short of a miracle worker. Not only does she take the time to understand exactly what we want, she also offers expert suggestions that elevate our hairstyles. Afterwards, our hair is always shiny, healthy, and the cut is absolutely flawless. You can tell she is passionate about what she does and incredibly skilled at her craft from the decades of experience. And the head massage when she washes your hair....WOW!! The nail technician is equally amazing. She's meticulous, gentle, and incredibly talented. My daughter's nails turned out stunning, with a perfect shape and polish. Old Town Salon has been our go to salon for years. We always leave feeling confident, refreshed, and we're already looking forward to our next visit. Highly, highly recommend!

The woman that waxed my eye brows definitely knew what she was doing as well. She saw there were some poorly managed spots on my eye brows upon first glance and adjusted what she did to make them look good. All in all I would definitely go back to the place. Sadly, I am not a resident here in Alexandria and was just visiting friends. If I am back in the area though I will definitely be making a stop.
